Nature, the first step

[Lady Raven Silvester]

"Spirits they control the soul. My soul belonged to a stranger. That was you." she said. She looked away. Why had she done this. She cursed herself mentally. "I'm sorry I have to go." she said, her voice breaking. She lead her horse away, her ebony hair flying out bhind her. Her eyes were filling up with more tears but she fought them. Well the best she could anyway.

Fifteen minutes later a scream came from at least 100 yards away. It was Raven.

Dreamer made no move to stop her, he couldn't. He was so confused, so utterly confused about the whole situation. All morning he had been restless to come to the forest, only to find a woman who claims that her gods had paired them together. Whats worse was that he was attracted to her, only confusing him more. He wasn't sure what compelled him to the forest, but he found her, and he felt better when he did.

Dreamer looked up at the sky and pointed his rage up at the heavens. If it were truly them, then they should not have played him as they have. He liked raven, he did, but he knew nothing about her. Maybe if he had been given a chance, he could have fallen for her through a natural process.

"Damn Gods" Dreamer muttered under his breath.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Dreamer turned his head to the woman's Scream, Ravens Scream. Removing himself from the ground, he sprinted towards where he heard her.

Raven lay on the floor. She was busy healing herself. "Damn rogues." she spluttered. Her horse lay next to her. The horse got up and looked at Dreamer. He snorted. A warning snort that these people might be back. "This is not going heal too well." she said. She shook it off. "Im going to kill those rogues if its the last thing I do." she sighed.

Dreamer moved himself quickly to Ravens side and inspected her wounds. Dreamer moved her hand away from herself and placed his hand on her stomach. Dreamer's eyes began to blaze gold as he sang his spell.

"Wounds so slight
Pain so deep
Bring forth the light
Heal the flesh,let it seep"

Dreamer's magic spread like wild fire across Raven's skin. Within seconds, her wounds were merely gone, with not even a scar to replace them.

"I'm going to kill those rogues if its the last thing I do"

"No need" Dreamer said, "There already here".

Dreamer turned his head, and there was a single man. He wore dark clothing, holding a short sword in his hand. "Your quick" the man chuckled, "The question is...are you quick enough for us?".

"Shit" Dreamer said, "Not again".

Raven saw them. "Now when I say run you run Dreamer and dont look back." she said. She held out her right hand. "Fast light and cool as ice. I call upon the wind to help us thrice." she sang. The wind blew up dust into the peoples eyes. "Come on Dreamer." said Raven getting on her steed and helping him up.

"Blazing sun
Light them as i run"

Dreamer mad a slash with his hand towards the man as he mounted the horse. He did not know if it connected or not, he didn't care. They began to gallop through the forest, Dreamer had to grab a hold of raven to keep himself from falling. "Were not going fast enough" Dreamers said.

"Time set free
Steed run free"

Time seemed to slow down as they galloped along the forest, and in truth, it did. Dreamer looked back and did not see anyone yet. He wasn't going to let the spell go though, not until they had cleared the forest. He held on and fought through the pain as the they ran free.

Raven held onto the reins. "Dreamer I know a place where we can go." she steered the horse left and got to a cave. She dismounted. "No one knows about it." she said. She put her hand on the entrance that would seem like solid rock to humans. "Obvius." she said and the rock parted showing a candle lit passageway.

Dreamer had no choice but to allow Raven to lead them away from the road to Camelot. He waited and watched as she led them to the side of a hill of solid rock. He was going to comment, but she opened the entry first, and he was left to stay silent. "Creepy, but what choice have we got?" Dreamer thought to himself.

He dismounted the steed, clumsily, and escorted him inside the cave. He waited for Raven to close the entrance, one hand holding the reigns, the other on the hilt of his blade, just in in case they have any visitors.

"Clausus." Raven whispered and the rock sealed shut. "Follow me." she said. She hurried down the passage way and came to a huge cavern. It was already full with mages. "Lady Raven. Glad you could make it." said a male mage. Raven nodded and smiled as the man passed both her a Dreamer a drink. "Heard 'bout the men after yas, What 'appened?" he said. "Long story." said Raven. "Ah well we got time down 'ere." the mage smiled.

Dreamer followed Raven down the lighted corridor, admiring the stone working of the cavern. The walls looked as if they had never met a pick axe before, but they were smooth. It was almost as if the mountain was simple created like this, which was impossible. There had to be another reason for the intricacy of the long passageway.

Then he got his answer.

Dreamer stood, amazed, as he watched the crowds of people in the wide Cavern. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was so amazed that when they offered him a glass, he simply took it. Not noticing that he had dropped the horses reins in the process. Looking over at Raven, Dreamer asked, "What is this place? Who are these people? What is this place?". He didn't realize he had asked the same question twice, he didnt care, so long as the question was answered.

Raven smiled. "Some of the mages, witches excetera are still in hiding." she said. "This is a haven for all those still in fear of Uther Pendragon." she said. She sat down and her horse went over to the other steeds. "Sit Dreamer." she smiled.

[Jasen "Dreamer" Masters]

Still holding his full cup of wine, Dreamer sat and continued to look around. He watched the faces of the men and women walking around them. There was so many in hiding, so many people still afraid of Uther's wrath.

"Why do they fear?" he asked," Uther no longer persecutes those of us with the....magic" he said. He still didnt know weather to call magic a gift or a curse, so he chose neither. Instead, he waited for an anwer, his glass still full and his eyes now on Raven.

Raven sighed and put her hand on Dreamer's shoulder. "You know what the king is like. He can swap and change his mind at will. We better not risk it. These are my friends tha man that welcomed us is called Aelfraed Aslvaldr. He is my counseler and a good friend. The woman you see now is his wife, Sol Asvaldr." Raven said. She looked at Dreamer. "Its ok you can relax." she said.

"Its ok you can relax."

Dreamer dropped his eyes to look at the cup in his hands and swirl the wine around casually. "I'm sorry," he said, "Its just..." Dreamer wanted to think about what he was going to say for a moment. Then he looked up and saw all the people again, the massed of Mage's and other practitioners. "This population is so large, there is so much knowledge here, and its going to waste in this cavern, i just don't understand" Dreamer said.

He waited for a moment before he chuckled, "I guess there's more that i don't understand than i had hoped, taking in the last few hours".

"All these mages are powerful and full of great knowledge. So...Be careful what you wish for. It might come true." she laughed. She hugged Dreamer. "Come I would like to show you your quaters." she said. She pulled up her hood and set off down another passageway.
