Morgana had nothing that was required of her this day, which was probably a good thing as her morning had come rather early this morning and her mind was in a bit of a haze. After her brief conversation with Arthur on the castle walls she had decided to go through with the decision to go for a walk. Although there was nothing major that required her presences, by the time she was able to get away for the walk it was early afternoon and although the sun was out in full force, there was a slight breeze. She wrapped one of her more simpler cloaks around her shoulder simply to keep the chill off her back and shoulders, then headed out to the orchard.
Morgana had offered, not ordered, Gwen the chance to come with her- the two girls needed some time together other than lady and servant, but Gwen had politely refused saying that there were things she needed to get done. Of course she could have ordered the girl's company, but then wondered if there would have been resentment on Gwen's part and she couldn't bear that thought so here she was wandering the orchard alone. It was beautiful- all the trees were taking on the autumn colouring- reds, oranges, yellows and there was fruit on the trees that hadn't been fully harvested yet.

Hey Anni,
Morgana and Lillith would know each other as Morgana has been receiving sleeping draughts from Gaius for quite awhile. Perhaps a respect in regards to Lillith's abilities?

Morgana nodded as he mentioned that he wasn't up to either a walk or a ride today. Of course he wasn't...the boy had severe injuries to both his leges and of course he should be in bed, but she wasn't stupid enough to suggest that again. "I look forward to it." And she could choose the destination? Wow he was being really generous- when Morgana went out for a ride there was usually only one place she went. Sometimes the King would come with her or she would be accompanied by either Arthur or some of his knights. Sitting at the top of one Camelot's many hills was the resting place of her father and often she would ride up there, spend some time in solitude and then go for a picnic or ride a little further. It wasn't that she wouldn't go other places, but that was the place that was closest to her. As the only child to survive past birth, Morgana truly had been her father's daughter.
"It looks like he is on his way up, so i should really get going. If I get caught, security will too tight to "escape" again! ...Goodbye Morgana! Enjoy your day!"
When Arthur commented that he thought Gaius had seen him she followed his gaze down over the wall and sure enough she could see the physician's figure headed back towards the castle as fast as he could considering his age. "Bye Arthur...Good luck getting away from him, for an older man he appeared to be moving pretty quickly." Morgana couldn't help but smirk as she called out to his retreating back. Not wanting to go inside yet, she turned her gaze back out to the courtyard down below.
(Gaius if you read this feel free to bring him in)

She listened with amusement as he ruled out two of her suggestions as he needed to be away from where people could cart him back to bed. Technically as the Prince of Camelot, if he refused to return to bed, there were only two people who had the 'authority' to order him back to bed- his father and Gaius as the Court physician but knowing how stubborn Arthur could be he would most likely manage to weasel his way out of it again. Although she had attempted when she was sick and failed miserably- in her defence though she truly was sick to the point where she had not the strength to fight Gaius demands that she stay in bed.
"I just don't know. What are you doing today?"
Morgana noted with a slight concern that when he shifted his position he winced in pain. If he truly was in that much pain perhaps he should still be taking it easy. "Arthur if the wounds are that uncomfortable still, forgive me, but perhaps you should still be in bed..." Knowing he would not like that suggestion, she quickly followed it up with another suggestion. "However, I also know that you are stubborn enough to not return to bed despite the pain. As for my plans today, I was considering a walk in the orchard or going for a ride as it seems to be a lovely day so far."
Down in the courtyard below she could easily make out the figure of Gaius amongst the members of court- he appeared to be rushing around. She was often amazed at how well that man seemed to rush around despite his age, although she suspected it really wasn't that easy for him and that he often suffered because of it. His body may be old but his mind was certainly as sharp as a tack still and she was greatful for all the care that he gave the people of Camelot.

Morgana, upon hearing about the archery contest and knowing that she might actually have a small chance of not making an idiot of herself took the fountain pen that was lying next to the registration paper and etched her name in ink. Lady Morgana

She listened as he continued to complain about staying in bed. Of course she had been genuinely ill but as for relating his injuries to two silly cuts well she wasn't so sure it was that simple. Although she did not know exactly what had happened, she did not have to be a Seer to know that Arthur was lucky to be alive. There were rumours going around that he had been attacked by a trained assassin and that the only reason Arthur lived was because the assassin made one mistake in his attack and Arthur was able to capitalize on it. In other words Arthur definately had the blessing of God above to thank for still being in the land of the living.
She was glad that he didn't press the sleepless night issue. Of course she wasn't telling him the truth at all but she didn't want to find out how he or the King would react. For many years Morgana had been plagued with the occasional nightmare however within the last couple of years the frequency and severity had increased dramtically. There wasn't a week that went by that she didn't have at least one restless night. Her saving grace was that she could easily say she was a little under the weather/blame it on womanly issues or feminine demeanour and recover through brief naps.
"My plans for today?...I'm not sure Morgana, perhaps a walk or ride? ...No, I'm not entirely sure...but if you have any ideas do let me know. I can't spend any more time in bed!"
Talk about in decision...Morganan found it funny to hear him practically debating with himself as to what he was going to do. Riding was most likely out of the question yet. "You could visit the library, practice archery, visit the training grounds even if you can't train as I'm sure the knights would like to see that you are almost recovered, engage in conversation with the many ladies of court...There are many things you can do that are not overly physical to the point where they will wear you out, but that won't have you sitting in bed anymore." She was still convinced that he should remain in bed for at least another day or so but wasn't going to fight the issue with him.

"It's a pleasure, Lady Morgana."
Morgana noted that the woman had been sitting alone in the sitting room with a book and that something in the room's vibe said that she wished to be alone. She certainly knew what it was like to wish to be alone- there were many times where Morgana wanted nothing more than to be left alone but as the King's ward it was rare for her to be truly alone. Servants, Gwen, guards, even Arthur or Uther were almost always around her.
"I have settled in well. I hope not to be a burden, I just sought the refuge of here. I should be gone within the year. I hope atleast. I have not a clue how to restart my life."
The woman that she was meeting certainly appeared to be polite and she could see how Arthur and perhaps the King as well would welcome her to court. While she did not fully know the woman's story, she did know what it was like to have to restart a life. "Well, I hope the time you spend here eases your current burden. If there is anything I can do to help all you need to do is ask." With that she smiled at the woman and then looked to the door for a brief moment. "It was nice to meet you, and I look forward to seeing you around the court." With that Morgana got up, inclined her head to Lady Anna and left the room.

Upon excusing herself from the King's graces at the Feast since Arthur had asked her to attend the bonfire with him, she had been approached by Gwen who must have run back to get her a cloak. "Thank you Gwen- are you going to join in the bonfire later?" Morgana noted that Gwen shrugged her shoulders -"I am unsure. It will depend on what hour the feast finishes here. Enjoy your time..."-
"Hopefully I see you there..." The look Morgana gave her back said something like 'you really do work too hard and should enjoy the night' but knew it was pointless to argue it aloud with Gwen.
After fixing the cloak to her shoulders, she followed Arthur out to the bonfire and was amazed at the number of people that were already there. So many people were currently packed into the grounds surrounding the fire. "What a wonderful turn out on such a night as this- certainly could not have asked for a better night." The weather was perfect...not to hot, but not overly cold either and the glow from the fire cast a beautiful orange shadow across the surroundings.
"Care to dance?"
Rather than even wait for an answer he took her hand and dragged her towards the fire. Although she could be stubborn when she wanted to, he was fairly strong and she certainly did want to go so she went along willingly. Just prior to falling into step with the ribbon of dancers she picked up the corner of her cloak and draped it over her arm so she wouldn't trip on it but would have her hand free to hold onto the next person's hand. Easily the pair slid into the dance and the ribbon wove its way around the flames. It was so freeing- no stuffy court traditions/restrictions or rules about propriety. Tonight was a night when almost anything was allowable. Over the noise she could hear her partner, Arthur, laughing and it certainly was contagious as she also began to laugh. "This needs to happen more often!"

"Good evening!"
The King's over-exuberant outburst causedMorgana and pretty much everyone else in the hall including his Royal Highness across from her to just about jump out of their chairs. While she had expected such an outburst as such when the wine was spilt this sudden outburst entirely caught her off guard. She had to stiffle a laugh as Arthur stood up to find him face to face with a rather beautiful lady and although he had his back to her, she could see the embarassment radiating from him as he then proceeded to re-take his seat.
"Hello there Arthur, I trust you are well?"
If one were to look at Morgana right now they would see the look of a quiet demure woman but inside she was throughly enjoying the circumstances that Arthur was facing. It was even funnier when he turned to her and rolled his eyes. She gave him a look that said 'be nice' and smiled in welcome to woman who she learned would be the evening's entertainment.
Morgana was entirely taken with her once she took the stage. The woman's voice was remarkable regardless of what she was singing. It was very easy to see that Uther was enamoured with the singer. She glanced down the table at the rest of the nobility and could see similar reactions on their faces. As each song came to a close she joined in the more than deserving applause.
After the final performance the woman approached the table and Arthur being the gentleman that he was gave his seat for her. Once again Morgana gave the lady a smile and a nod of her head. "The singing truly was wonderful m'lady." Arthur then proceeded to excuse himself from the court to attend the bonfire outside- in support of the general populace and upon Uther giving his acceptance he turned and asked if she cared to join him. Morgana had been hoping to go, but hadn't made the final decision whether she would attend or not. At his request she couldn't see any reason to deny him. "Care to join me Morgana?" Morgana cast her glance to the King and then back to Arthur who was waiting for her answer. "I would love to my lord." Morgana pushed her chair from the table and followed him out of the hall.

Was Arthur saying he was famished? It truly was hard to tell with the stuffed mouth. Men and manners- she may not have had her mother around growing up but she had somehow managed to learn manners. Arthur sitting across from her had obviously missed those lessons...Although that was considered typical of male behaviour at the dinner table so at least he fit in with his species. In between bites of food she would occassionally reach for the goblet of wine in front of her and take small sips.
When Merlin came to refill Arthur's goblet he cast a nervous smile in her direction and she returned it with a genuine smile. Although Merlin was technically a servant, both he and Gwen held a very special place in her circle of friends. Both were people that she would trust with her life and she hoped they knew that. Next thing she knew the goblet infront of Arthur went flying almost into the King's lap spilling the wine as it fell. In reaction she pushed her chair slightly away from the table although it wasn't really affecting her. Arthur scolded Merlin quite loudly and then ordered for a cloth to come. She didn't have to be sitting next to the King to note that he was furious- sure enough she turned to look in his direction while servants scurried around to get the mess cleaned up and the King looked like smoke was about to pour out of his ears. A young servant girl came up beside her to help clean the mess up. -Did any get on you milady?- Morgana shook her head no. She was fine as she had managed to get her chair out of the way fast enough. The girl nodded, then turned her attention back to the table.
Once the mess had been cleaned up her and the rest of the head table settled back into their plates of food. Despite the chaos that had just happened and the King's anger, things settle back down quickly. Morgana returned her attention to the food that was sitting infront of her and listened to the conversation that was going around the table.
"Are you enjoying the food Morgana?"
Morgana looked back to Arthur who had refilled his plate with a selection of cheeses. Prior to speaking she took a sip of wine. "The palace kitchens have really outdone themselves. Don't you agree?" She always loved the feasts that the court put on, however this year seemed to be one of the better ones.

The night of the harvest feast had finally arrived and Morgana couldn't have been any happier. She knew the food was going to be delicious and it was going to be a time for the members of court to interact on a more social nature. Gwen, had helped her dress for the evening in a gown of golden yellow and shades of orange and Morgana decided to leave her hair loose/curled and her circlet. The time came for the feasting to start and Morgana found herself in her usual chair- to the left of the King with Arthur sitting on his right as crown prince.
She held back a grin as out of the corner of her eye she Arthur clap his hands together in glee. Would he ever grow up? Sometimes she wondered if he had any sense of decorum at all. Although Morgana was as excited as Arthur, she didn't display it outright. She was grateful that her health had recovered to allow her to attend the feasting and actually enjoy the food. It certainly had not been fun being ill for the week that she was. While she waited for the signal to begin eating she cast her gaze around the room. There were so many nobles of the court in attendance- it truly was wonderful to see.
Just prior to the bell sounding her gaze went to that of her guardian- the King. She noted that he was looking out at the guests and she followed his gaze and noted who he was looking at. Further down the table where some nobility who now openly practiced magic. There was a time when they would have had to practice in silence so as not to have their heads cut off but that was no longer the case as he had gotten over his hatred of magic and she was grateful for it. She had only recently started admitting to herself that her nightmares were actually prophetic dreams and she was in no way ready to test the King's tolerance yet especially since she had no ability to control the visions.
As soon as the bell sounded the sounds errupted as people began to help themselves to the platters of food. No one could have asked for a better spread of food- venision, other meats, fish, fruit, cheese and stews graced the table. Morgana took a plate of venison that was also sitting infront of her and added some fish, fruit and cheese on it. She let her gaze wander amongst the guests with the occasional nod of her head and a smile as she also cut off meat and ate it in small bites.
