Figured it was time this year to actually buy a halloween costume that looked halloweeny without being too sexy/spooky (ie could also get away with it at work if there were halloween events). Will try to get a picture at my friend's halloween party

All around her things were wildly out of control. One of the dark mages had summoned an army of the dead, there were lightening strikes being sent to towards the mages tower, buildings were being turned into kindling and men, women and children were being murdered. Lady Morgana and the men took to ushering the townsfolk out of the town and into the nearby caves. "Come now, move quickly..." Morgana saw a young child standing in the middle of the road looking very lost. If the child were to be left to her own devices she would surely die. Morgana was the closest one to her and knowing she was taking her own life into her hands, without a second thought she ran over to where the child was and scooped her into her arms. "Come now my love, You need to get out of the streets...." Morgana ran with the child back to where the townsfolk were leaving town.
Chaos still roamed wild and Morgana handed the child off to a nearby woman. "Take her with you, and be safe." The woman curtsied and then took the young child from her arms and ran off with her. Morgana turned back to face the town and saw that two of the undead soldiers had broken away from crowd and were moving towards her. While she had a sword, somehow she doubted that they would work against those creatures.
What was she to do? Morgana wished dearly to know what to do in this situation. The only thing she knew was that magic had created the army of undead and she suspected that it would require magic to destroy them. She looked around and noted that all the Mages were busy with other areas of the town/tower and the Knight who had accompanied her was engaged with trying to defend her against another enemy as well as get the townsfolk to safety so he was unable to help. "Lady Morgana, get yourself out of here before they get to you." Morgana shook her head no and looked at the two undead soldiers running towards her. She quickly offered up a prayer towards whichever higher authority would protect her in this moment. One of the buildings nearby she saw a lit torch. Morgana grabbed the lit torch and held it out towards the creatures. "Come any closer and you will burn forever in hell"
The two soldiers looked at each other then looked back at her and laughed. The laugh that came out was certainly unholy. Morgana gained whatever courage she could and took up a fighting stance. Although she had a fear of King Uther's response to her having a lifetime of magic, she suddenly wished for once that she had fully embraced her magical gifts. So far she had been 'plagued' with visions and had once unknowingly set her room on fire. Morgana held the torch in one hand and her sword in the other and focused on the torch willing it to come to her aid and burn the undead soldiers. Suddenly as if responded to her plea, and certainly just in the nick of time as they were practically infront of her, the torch leapt to life and consumed the two men. For anyone who did not know Morgana's situation they could say that she miraculously had managed to get the torch in the right spot for them to catch fire, but she knew it was more than that. As they crumbled to the ground at her feet she was overwhelmed by a very severe headache and knew she only had a moment or two before she collapsed.
Morgana signalled for Sir Walter, the knight who had accompanied her and managed to fend off some of the undead army as well and though her headached she told him they needed to leave. Before she could take one step in the direction the townsfolk had run, Morgana collapsed to the ground.

The ground began to shake quite violently almost knocking her off her feet again. "Get everyone somewhere safe, stay in a group..."
The Knight stepped towards Morgana's side and she could tell by the tone of his body lanugage he was going to say something to the Mage to remind him to whom he was speaking- the ward of King Uther and therefore a Lady of the court. He felt the Mage needed to be reminded of the fact that Morgana did not have to answer to him. With a small guess as to what might happen Morgana rested an arm on his shoulder and nodded her head towards the Mage.
The Mage saw how much worse it was getting and said he would handle the undead that had risen. "The Mage is correct- the battle is worsening. Soon this town is going to be more overrun than it currently is. We need to get everyone out of her as quickly as possible." Now where to take people though. Of course her thought was to go to Camelot, but it safe enough for women and children to be travelling that far only on foot? "Camelot is the safest place but will the roads be safe between here and there?"
"While Camelot is probably the safest place it is still some distance away on foot. There are caves nearby that are easy to defend and close enough to get to on foot." Morgana nodded that the caves were probably their best option. "Let's go." The first thought in Morgana's head was that Uther was not going to be letter her go out anytime soon...but she shood off the thought as the concern for the people's safety came back to mind. The town leaders, the men they had stopped, Morgana and the Knight worked as quickly as possible to get people into the caves and get some defenses set up.

Hey All, Just want to let everyone know that Morgana will be out of comission from Friday to Sunday as I'm going to visit both sets of grandparents this weekend. My grandmother has internet, but I'm going to refrain from using it and instead raid her craft supplies

The minute the first explosion was heard at the Tower Morgana suspected that this was the location of her nightmares. Great without even knowing 100% of the nightmare she had still managed to find her way into the middle of the chaos. And chaos was certainly what happened. When the explosion went off the townspeople immediately began screaming in fear and running around aimlessly. Morgana looked to the Knight who had ridden along with her. Although she was only a woman, she knew what must be done- they had to get the people of Avalon to safety. "We need to get people to calm down and into their homes or a safe place. And I need for you to ride to Camelot to inform the King, Arthur and Merlin." The Knight suggested the town hall- get the women and children inside then have able bodied men stand guard. It was the best they could do in this situation. He did not look pleased however at the suggestion that he return to Camelot and inform the King. At the look on his face, she suspected he would rather die than leave her unprotected. Surely the King wouldn't be happy if the Knight were to return without Morgana but she couldn't leave the town in so much danger.
Morgana stopped a few men as they ran by her. "I need your help to get the women and children into the town hall and set up a perimeter outside to defend it as best you can. And I will need someone fast to ride to the Palace and inform The King, Arthur and Merlin that the Mage tower and Avalon are under attack." The man for a moment looked confused at a woman telling him these things and then after a quick moment came to the realization that it was Lady Morgana standing before him. Of course she would know about these kind of things. "Yes Lady Morgana." Together the Knight, Morgana and the men she had gathered up immediately set to work getting the townsfolk into the town hall where she hoped the women and children would be safe.
As this was happening, men broke off from the Mage tower attack and made their way into the village. People quickly assembled in the town hall and a ring of men surrounded it with blades and any weapon they could find. One of the men who she had stopped initially noticed that she was weaponless except for a short dagger. "Forgive me Lady Morgana, but that weapon will be useless. Are you able to handle a sword?" Although Morgana wasn't the best in the world with a sword, having a father who was a warlord and friend to King Uther had given her some abilities. She nodded her head and wondered for a brief moment why he was asking. The man immediately turned the hilt of his sword towards her. "Please take my sword. I'm the blacksmith here in town and have more ready in my shop. . I will get another sword from my shop but you are not safe with only that dagger." Morgana thanked the man and after she took the sword from him he ran off towards his shop.
It was a good thing she now had a sword because just as she was trying to figure out what needed to be done next all off a sudden a sword attack came from her left side. The Knight who was with her easily defended the blade long enough for Morgana to realize what was happening. Morgana's instincts immediately began to takeover and she parried blows as best she could. Her guard did his best to stay by Morgana's side but he was engulfed in an attack of men and out of the corner of her eye she could see that he was winning but barely. The man who was attacking her was relentless and of course her clothing wasn't all that practical- women didn't normally handle swords she she was getting tangled up slightly in her gown. This made the man laugh when he saw her struggling- he thought this was going to be an easy kill...Morgana may have been the King's ward but to him she was still only a woman. He planned to use her and then kill her. His plans fell through though as out of nowhere came a man she recognized as one of the Guild Mages- finally! A good guy. She watched as he plunged his sword into the man's side- sometimes swords were just as good as Magic. Morgana turned her head away for a moment as the Mage then slid his blade across the Man's throat. The man who had been attacking her crumpled to a pile at her feet. At the same time the Knight that was with her was able to beat off his attackers.
"Are you alright?"
Morgana nodded her head towards the Mage. "Yes."

(posted since Morgana was on the list- if it is decided that her presence confuses things let me know and I'll delete)
Morgana had spent a rather sleepless night in her chambers again- she kept having a nightmare about an attack but couldn't pin it down to a specific place. It was as if her 'gift' didn't want her to know the exact location because it feared she would be stupid enough to get involved. Perhaps if she had trained the gift more she might have been able to zero down the location and be prepared to tell Arthur if necessary- although she was sure he still had NO clue about what her 'nightmares' actually were...or if he and Uther knew about it they were remaining silent about it.
Day dawned and Morgana had been allowed by Uther to go to Avalon for the day- she had told the King that morning that she needed some time away from the chaos of Camelot and preferred to spend her day in the village. Uther agreed provided she took someone with her- that was always his provision and she readily agreed each time knowing that if she said no he would refuse to let her go at all. When they were both ready to go, the guard helped her mount her horse and then mounted his beside her. They rode out of Camelot towards the beautiful country village of Avalon. She could see the food people had planted was flourishing and at harvest time there was going to be quite a bounty. As long as people could get it gathered in time, there would be little shortage this winter.
Once in Avalon, Morgana dismounted from her horse and with a smile she wandered through the farmer's market that was there. There was lots of produce already gathered and available for sale. She picked through a couple of items to make a lunch of sorts for later. As she was finishing up at the one stand she was at a young girl, who couldn't have been 5 or 6 ran into her leg and fell to the ground. A look of surprise crossed both Morgana and the young girl's faces. Morgana because she was actually worried the child was hurt and the child she assumed because of who she had bumped into. Morgana watched as the child quickly scrambled to her feet curtsied and began biting her lip. "Are you okay little one?" The girl nodded and with a smile took off to where she had come from. Although she wanted to trust the little girl had nothing wrong, her hand immediately went to where her purse still was and she sighed with relief. It had truly been an accident. Her gaze was drawn to a stone tower that she knew was the Mage guild's other tower. Little did she know that this was the place in her nightmare though and that an attack soon would happen.

I noticed Morgana was on the list- it would be fun to rp in the thread with a bunch of Mages and Brotherhood, but I'm not sure how/why Morgana would go to the Tower in Avalon? If it had been the Mage Guild in Camelot perhaps she could have attempted to go to Merlin for advice on her visions- they are getting really troublesome. This could be her 'advancement' into Magic, but not sure if she would risk the trouble of trying to go to the Avalon tower...
Any thoughts?

While Morgana is not a Mage perhaps with the gang messing around in the graveyards she could have one of her nightmares- depending on whose souls were disturbed she could have a visit from her father? That would stir her up a bit

Was he really that oblivious to the fact that it was the middle of the night and she was trying to get rid of him so she could go back to sleep? Well if he was going to stay and 'chat' for a bit then he could explain to the court tomorrow why she was falling asleep... Morgana elbowed him over enough that she could at least wiggle under the covers.
"Oh im rather grand really."
Wow it didn't take a learned man to pick the sarcasm out of that sentence. "Perhaps if you repeat that sentence without the sarcasm you might actually fool somebody...but not me. I know you better than that, however I also will respect that you may not wish to talk about it." Little did she know that Arthur was currently experience many of the same things she had experienced for quite some time.
"I have not seen you about much these past few weeks? Avaris keeping you busy i suspect? What do you think of her return?"
He hadn't seen her much in the past few weeks? Where the heck had he been? She had been to meals as usual and still continuing with her typical daily routine, but he was also correct that she had been spending more time about with Avaris as well. "You make it sound like I suddenly disappeared off the map...I've still been doing my required tasks but instead of spending my spare time alone, I've been catching up with Avaris. I think it is great that she has returned- she has been through so much and it is a testament to her character." She knew Arthur was really hinting at whether they had caused any mischief yet but since she hadn't been ordered to tell under oath that was a secret she was going to keep to herself.

"Whatever it is, I don't think you should touch it too much. It gives me chills and sometimes, as you say, it seems alive! Oh dear we are getting carried away! It is just a magical stone, used for some sort of trick. Nothing more."
"Magic stone or alive doesn't really make a difference- either way it is different and as you say needs to be guarded carefully." As Arthur proceeded to drop himself down onto her bed she rolled her eyes. It was the middle of the night and he seemed to be settling himself in for a chat? Had he lost all sense of time? Must be too many hours out on patrol with the knights..or too many hours on hunts where it was a whatever time someone dropped off is when they dropped off. He certainly seemed like he was in no rush to leave. One thing she did notice was when he flopped down on the bed the stone, which had been sitting in the middle of the bed, quickly rolled away from him. She picked up the stone and carried it over to her dressing table, unlocked the one drawer that only she had the key for, set the stone down gently inside and locked the drawer again.
"How are you anyway Morgana?"
She went back and sat down with her back resting against the head of her bed. Morgana could feel a yawn creeping up and raised hand hoping to stifle it."Well other than the fact that it is the middle of the night and I should really be sleeping, I'm doing fairly well....And yourself?"

Morgana watched with amusement at the fuss Avaris' horse was having simply because someone else was tending him. That was a horse who knew what he wanted that was for certain. Avaris was able to get him quickly under control. "A very spirited horse- suits you well Avaris." Once everyone was mounted up and ready to go, one of the Knights went ahead of them, then Morgana and Avaris, and finally followed by two more Knights behind them.
"Where are we off to, I assume you have some deep secret hideaway, perhaps by the stream we used to play at?"
At Avaris' comment about where they were headed Morgana pondered the idea for a moment. She thought back to the time they had stumbled across that little stream and all the fond memories of playing by it. It was tucked off the main trail and surrounded by low lying bushes. "I was going to suggest a simple ride though the countryside, but that sounds like an even better idea. I like to still go there when I can but it isn't so secretive." One only had to notice the guards that rode with her to understand why it wasn't so secretive. She guided her horse, via the reins, down the side path towards the stream. "So I understand that Arthur found you last night and brought you back to Camelot?
