Just outside the town of Avalon is a large stone tower belonging to the Magician's Guild. It stands tall and looks oddly out of place in the agricultural surroundings, like something out of a fairytale. It has a central spiral staircase and rounded turrets at its peak. The tower once belonged to the army and was used as an lookout post owing to the eagle-eye views it gave over the land surrounding Camelot. In the time of peace, Uther gave the tower to the Guild. Esteemed members of the Guild, or those that have reached the level of Mage are granted access to the tower whenever they wish to make use of the advanced library inside.
The tower is busy today, with several of the Guild's magicians present. The tower is surrounded by the civilians of Avalon busy about their day to day tasks; this particular summer morning sees the weekly farmer's market.
In the distance, nine individual assassins and magic users advance toward the tower, instructed to take out the dark haired boy-mage at the heart of Camelot: Merlin. Luckily, Merlin has been held up at the castle running errands for the Prince. The assasins have no idea that their target is not there. They will attack nonetheless.

Keleth was given his first assignment outside of his training which made him very excited though he didn't act on this as he kept his control and continue his way toward the tower with the rest of the pack of the brotherhood. Destroy the tower, and kill the wizard Merlin. That was the assignment that was given to him and the rest of the brotherhood that were picked by the Dark Knight. Keleth didn't ask questions as he took his assignment serious and knew he had to prove to himself that he is a great asset to the brotherhood. What had surprised Keleth was that his trainer Rose was among one of the mages with him. "Mages, let us begin." Rose spoke as all the mages began to mutter words under their breath as they all casted an invisibility spell. Keleth nodded as he closed his eyes and muttered to himself, "Shield me from light, Shield me from Sun, let me walk among the silent!" Keleth soon felt the magic run through his veins as he soon felt a shield guarding his body. He was now invisible to everyone as they continue to walk toward the tower.
The plan was simple get in destroy the tower and kill the boy Merlin. Keleth wasn't a full dark mage he was only a dark squire of the brotherhood yet he knew he was a strong mage and could handle himself. But something was telling him that this battle will not be as easy as it sounds. Few minutes flew by as they could see the tower in front of him. The mages were invisible and surround the tower and waited for their next move.

Chase was on top of the tower reading through one of the many books that the library contained. It was his first time out to the remote tower and he wanted to get as much out of it as he could. There were some really interesting books in the tower that contained complex spells that he wanted to try. However his main reason for coming was to meet Merlin who was supposed to be coming to the tower soon. Chase had wanted a chance to talk to him and see just what the man was like.
Unfortunately Merlin was running late and so Chase had to content himself with simply reading the books. He was just reading about the complex differences between the different forms of magic when he sensed some magic being performed outside of the tower. He glanced up wondering if it was Merlin finally arriving but saw nothing. After scanning the grounds for a moment he finally sat back down on the edge of the tower and returned to his book. He hoped Merlin arrived soon he was getting bored.

Having not quiet made it to the top of the tower, Dreamer was in the floor just below. Having arrived only a few hours earlier, Dreamer had come to the conclusion that he must move from Camelot to the outpost. It was a fantasy, but one that he running through his mind as he scanned bookshelf upon bookshelf of volumes. He wondered why he had never heard of the outpost up until recently. It was a perfect place for study and knowledge, out of the way so as to not attract to many "local" attention. As well as built strong enough to provide ample protection, ontop of the mages that guarded it as well.
Dreamer had no idea that Merlin was to be arriving at the outpost, nor did he know that his rival was immersing himself in some fine literature just a floor above him. He didn't really care to think such thoughts anyway, he was willingly lost in the magic of words. He was interrupted momentarily at the slight inkling of a magical presence nearby, but dismissed it immediately. He was in an outpost for the Mage guild, of course there would be magic around.

The forest was darkening due to the density of the wood itself. Selphia had taken it upon herself to walk the trails that surrounded the Guild tower. She had left Camelot’s Walls in order to see to focusing upon her magic. The last few weeks had had been having trouble concentrating. She had hopes of expanding her abilities, but those in the library feared the safety of their books, windows, and tables anything breakable. It was more so the reason for her being in the forest and not the tower itself. Carefully making her way about the many trails. Her pale gaze peered through the canopy toward the west. She could just make out stalk of grey that lingered just beyond.
Selphia took a seat upon a boulder at the side of one of the many trails. Her slender form nestled neatly upon the stone, hands curled into her lap. She would gently whisper to herself, those whispers turning into soft chants. She would allow her energies to give rise within her. Working their way from her core, out. Her hands moved from her lap and extended outward. The tension in her body seemed to grow extremely tense as she sat there.
Her pale gaze lifted to the forest from under her hood. She didn’t know just what it was that she was experiencing at present. She figured it was her inability to focus. She felt something pressing down upon her as she sat there. Her lips parted, and the chanting ceased. She would undo her focus. It is here that her focus slips away and her thoughts expand beyond her person. Changing her focus to that of the forest before her was a task within itself. The moment her focus is lowered, the voices belonging to many if not everything and one, alive or long dead rush her. The pain is intense, but her will is strong and she is able to brace her fragile form against the energies that would wish to harm her. Though at this moment she would have to sit and wonder who is trying to hurt them.
The tower belonged to the guild. But even the guild had detectable magic. These magics were different. Or were they? She was troubled by the need to keep her focus unguarded. She so wanted to slam the wall back into place and forget. But this was not the time nor place. There was trouble, but what. She allowed her mind to expand throughout the wood searching.

(posted since Morgana was on the list- if it is decided that her presence confuses things let me know and I'll delete)
Morgana had spent a rather sleepless night in her chambers again- she kept having a nightmare about an attack but couldn't pin it down to a specific place. It was as if her 'gift' didn't want her to know the exact location because it feared she would be stupid enough to get involved. Perhaps if she had trained the gift more she might have been able to zero down the location and be prepared to tell Arthur if necessary- although she was sure he still had NO clue about what her 'nightmares' actually were...or if he and Uther knew about it they were remaining silent about it.
Day dawned and Morgana had been allowed by Uther to go to Avalon for the day- she had told the King that morning that she needed some time away from the chaos of Camelot and preferred to spend her day in the village. Uther agreed provided she took someone with her- that was always his provision and she readily agreed each time knowing that if she said no he would refuse to let her go at all. When they were both ready to go, the guard helped her mount her horse and then mounted his beside her. They rode out of Camelot towards the beautiful country village of Avalon. She could see the food people had planted was flourishing and at harvest time there was going to be quite a bounty. As long as people could get it gathered in time, there would be little shortage this winter.
Once in Avalon, Morgana dismounted from her horse and with a smile she wandered through the farmer's market that was there. There was lots of produce already gathered and available for sale. She picked through a couple of items to make a lunch of sorts for later. As she was finishing up at the one stand she was at a young girl, who couldn't have been 5 or 6 ran into her leg and fell to the ground. A look of surprise crossed both Morgana and the young girl's faces. Morgana because she was actually worried the child was hurt and the child she assumed because of who she had bumped into. Morgana watched as the child quickly scrambled to her feet curtsied and began biting her lip. "Are you okay little one?" The girl nodded and with a smile took off to where she had come from. Although she wanted to trust the little girl had nothing wrong, her hand immediately went to where her purse still was and she sighed with relief. It had truly been an accident. Her gaze was drawn to a stone tower that she knew was the Mage guild's other tower. Little did she know that this was the place in her nightmare though and that an attack soon would happen.

Keleth soon heard the first explosion, then the second, and after that much more explosions hiting the mage tower. The attack was begining, the assassins had begun their attack and now it was Keleth's turn to begin. He could feel his unit of mages begin targting the tower with dark magic and knew that it was only a matter of time before Keleth would enter the tower. "One by one, rise from the dead, destory with your might, and take your revenge!" Keleth began to speak as he rose his hands in the air as he felt the ground shake as the undead began to break through the ground. Rose had only told Keleth to create diviersons so that the higher mages could get into the tower with out a problem. Thinking he would be able to do what they could could but orders where orders and he had to follow them no matter what. One bye one did each undead come through the ground raising and shouting for revenge. Each with weapons of their choice, some able to produce some type of magic.
Keleth could hear the screams of the peasents that heard loud explosions but he could care less about them for his mission right now was to take this mage tower and destory it. "Darkness drain the power of light!" Keleth shouted as he soon created two large orbs of darkness that flew to the left and right side of tower above. With seconds later each of the orbs unleashed a torrent of dark energy like lightning down on the tower in hopes to destory the tower.
(Hope that is something for you guys to go off of)

Chase was relaxing at the top of tower taking a moment to think about a claim that the author had made about the true nature of magic. He was just coming to the conclusion that the author was an idiot when the first explosion hit. A wall of concussed air threw him towards the center of the roof.
Chase landed on his feet relatively unscathed by the blast. He instantly crouched running back towards the side to see where the blast had come from. A second blast hit as he was running but this time he had his shields up and didn't even get pushed back. He wondered who would dare to attack the guild? Had the Brotherhood finally decided to attempt a decisive attack on king Uther by destroying the guilds outpost? Perhaps Keleth would be attacking as well. That would make things interesting.
It didn't matter Chase realized. All that mattered was that someone had the audacity to attack to attack the outpost of the guild. Well it was an unlucky day for them. They had chosen a day where there were more mages here then normal. Not only that but Merlin was going to arrive soon. Once he arrived then any enemy mages would be doomed.
For now though Chase would enjoy the chance to crush whoever was attacking. He examined the tower and found that its wards had held against the explosions, it was still intact. He watched as several undead rose from the ground and entered the building. So Keleth was here, he remembered Keleth using that spell before. Although it looked a lot more powerful then it had used to be.
Chase muttered "Naur naara 'ksh" A fireball shot out and hit the last two undead monsters turning them into charcoal. Unfortunately the others had already entered so there was nothing Chase could do about them.
It was then that two giant orbs of dark energy floated by the tower and started to release a torrent of energy at the tower. Chase realized that even with its wards the tower would probably receive some damage from the attack. He decided to defend it not because he cared about the tower or the people inside of it but because he didn't want any of the books inside of it to get damaged.
"Warchod y tŵr â tharian y cylchlythyr" He chanted. His spell not only enhanced the current wards at the top of the tower but also deflected the dark lightning away from the tower. Unfortunately some of the attack would probably still get through his defenses but at least he had blocked enough of the attack so the tower would survive.
Now to draw some of the attackers to him. Chase strode to the very edge of the parapet and called out, "Is that all you've got? The Brotherhood must be as weak and cowardly as the stories say!" Now hopefully one of the attackers would be incensed enough to try to attack him and giving away his position. Then Chase could take whoever it was out and search for the others.

One moment Dreamer was absorbed in the fascinating book in his hands, all hell broke loose in the next. Something struck the side of the tower hard enough to cause the stone to blow inward, creating a new lovely window in which to look out from. Dreamer ducked as a boulder almost struck him in the face, and moved to see through the gap.
"What the-" Dreamer said, looking out into the assault of the tower. Mages, soldiers, and undead all attacked. Dreamer gritted his teeth as he saw the horde begin to charge the tower as one, it was a full on assault. Dreamer stood there watching for a moment, not knowing what to do. It would take some time for the horde to reach him, there was several stories and at least a few dozen magically trained guild members below. Standing there, Dreamer still contemplated what he must do, until he started to hear the screams.
Screams filled the tower and the village, which was on the other side of the assault. Dreamer was faced with a problem, who should he save? Dreamer sighed as he chose, the mages could defend themselves, the peasants could now. Drawing in his breath, Dreamer targeted his points of travel.
"Pass through Shadows, Jump through Shadows, Follow the path of Shadows"
With that, Dreamer jumped from the tower and disappeared as he fell. Knowing where he was going, Dreamer repeated the spell as he jumped the shadows each of his enemies until he reached the village, Where he jumped from the shadow behind a man about to strike down a woman. Dreamer brought out one of his daggers and plunged it into the mans side, he screamed for a second before Dreamer grabbed his head and pulled it back so Dreamer could slide the bloody blade along the man's throat. The man now dead, Dreamer let him fall to the ground.
Looking down at the woman (Morgana) Dreamer asked, "Are you alright?".

A ripple of energy tore through Selphia as she stood in the centre of the clearing. Her thoughts expanded through the woods toward the village and then the tower. A dark energy brushed her mind. Then whispers soon followed. Entering her mind, which was troubling enough of a good day. Now there was confusion. Danger loomed about every shadow within the tower the village, even the forest. Her breath caught in her throat as she felt the emotions of the villagers rush upon her. It was overwhelming to a point that she faltered to a knee. Her hand extended outward to catch herself against a nearby tree. What was this? The dull pain in her head had increased by tenfold. She winced as she struggled with figuring out this menace. Something was happening.
Her thoughts searched for those that she knew loyal to Camlot.

The minute the first explosion was heard at the Tower Morgana suspected that this was the location of her nightmares. Great without even knowing 100% of the nightmare she had still managed to find her way into the middle of the chaos. And chaos was certainly what happened. When the explosion went off the townspeople immediately began screaming in fear and running around aimlessly. Morgana looked to the Knight who had ridden along with her. Although she was only a woman, she knew what must be done- they had to get the people of Avalon to safety. "We need to get people to calm down and into their homes or a safe place. And I need for you to ride to Camelot to inform the King, Arthur and Merlin." The Knight suggested the town hall- get the women and children inside then have able bodied men stand guard. It was the best they could do in this situation. He did not look pleased however at the suggestion that he return to Camelot and inform the King. At the look on his face, she suspected he would rather die than leave her unprotected. Surely the King wouldn't be happy if the Knight were to return without Morgana but she couldn't leave the town in so much danger.
Morgana stopped a few men as they ran by her. "I need your help to get the women and children into the town hall and set up a perimeter outside to defend it as best you can. And I will need someone fast to ride to the Palace and inform The King, Arthur and Merlin that the Mage tower and Avalon are under attack." The man for a moment looked confused at a woman telling him these things and then after a quick moment came to the realization that it was Lady Morgana standing before him. Of course she would know about these kind of things. "Yes Lady Morgana." Together the Knight, Morgana and the men she had gathered up immediately set to work getting the townsfolk into the town hall where she hoped the women and children would be safe.
As this was happening, men broke off from the Mage tower attack and made their way into the village. People quickly assembled in the town hall and a ring of men surrounded it with blades and any weapon they could find. One of the men who she had stopped initially noticed that she was weaponless except for a short dagger. "Forgive me Lady Morgana, but that weapon will be useless. Are you able to handle a sword?" Although Morgana wasn't the best in the world with a sword, having a father who was a warlord and friend to King Uther had given her some abilities. She nodded her head and wondered for a brief moment why he was asking. The man immediately turned the hilt of his sword towards her. "Please take my sword. I'm the blacksmith here in town and have more ready in my shop. . I will get another sword from my shop but you are not safe with only that dagger." Morgana thanked the man and after she took the sword from him he ran off towards his shop.
It was a good thing she now had a sword because just as she was trying to figure out what needed to be done next all off a sudden a sword attack came from her left side. The Knight who was with her easily defended the blade long enough for Morgana to realize what was happening. Morgana's instincts immediately began to takeover and she parried blows as best she could. Her guard did his best to stay by Morgana's side but he was engulfed in an attack of men and out of the corner of her eye she could see that he was winning but barely. The man who was attacking her was relentless and of course her clothing wasn't all that practical- women didn't normally handle swords she she was getting tangled up slightly in her gown. This made the man laugh when he saw her struggling- he thought this was going to be an easy kill...Morgana may have been the King's ward but to him she was still only a woman. He planned to use her and then kill her. His plans fell through though as out of nowhere came a man she recognized as one of the Guild Mages- finally! A good guy. She watched as he plunged his sword into the man's side- sometimes swords were just as good as Magic. Morgana turned her head away for a moment as the Mage then slid his blade across the Man's throat. The man who had been attacking her crumpled to a pile at her feet. At the same time the Knight that was with her was able to beat off his attackers.
"Are you alright?"
Morgana nodded her head towards the Mage. "Yes."

Keleth could hear the screams and the fear as everyone from the village and peasents walking around scrambled for their life. As Keleth released his undead he saw two giant flames engulfed a few undead that were almost to the door. Looking up he knew it was Chase as he made the taunting comment. As much as Keleth wanted to jump right up to that top of the building he knew he would only get destroyed by Chase. Keleth decided to keep his onslaught on the tower and give the village a surprise. "One by one, rise from the dead, destory with your might, and take your revenge!" Keleth shouted out as he felt a rush of magic flow from his body onto the ground. Soon cracks on the ground soon went crashing around the tower as it made its way to the village. Moments later creatures of the undead began to crawl from beneath the ground and onto the ground. They all looked liked they were all half humans but the other half very dead looking. Almost as if they all had a diease of some sort rising from the dead. Scurrying with weapons and magic they began to take their relentless attack on the vilage.
Meanwhile another brotherhood mage by the name of Rose who was currently Keleth's teacher had joined the mission and who seemed to be a leader in this assault appeared behind Chase, "This will be your down fall!" She hissed at Chase as she moved her hand and sent a wave of darkness straight toward him. If he wasn't careful enough he would be sent off the tower.
Keleth only few feet away from the tower noticed that his magic from the orbs in the air were not doing much so he decided to strike the tower himself. Raising his hands toward the tower, "Waves of darkness, shatter this tower with your power!" He shouted as a burst of darkness energy flooded from Keleth's hands as it blasted toward the tower.

Chase was impressed at Keleth's growth. The boy had managed to summon yet another wave of undead to send at the town. Still it would simply make him easier to beat later once he had exhausted his energy trying to destroy the town. Chase didn't care what happened to to the town but he was mad that Keleth and the other mages were destroying the tower. He hadn't finished going through the books inside to find whether there was anything worthwhile in them or not. He would have to trust the mages inside to defend from any attackers that had slipped through.
However when Keleth's trainer Rose attacked him Chase started to get worried. He could take Rose out but both Keleth and Rose together would be incredibly difficult. "Trafnidiaeth i mi" He chanted and teleported out of the way of the attack. He reappeared on the ground in front of the tower only to notice the giant waves of darkness about to hit it. Before he could react however a psychic wall blocked the attack. Out from the doorway strode twin magicians who had been rising through the ranks of the guild recently. Individually they weren't that strong but they had managed to combine their psychic powers making them much stronger.
Chase gestured at them to attack Keleth. He wanted to be the one to take out Rose. Not to mention it would be fun to see how Keleth managed against them. Chase would have judged that they were slightly stronger them Keleth but who knew what could happen.
Chase turned to face Rose chanting, "Cynnydd tywyllwch i fyny ac yfed chi" The shadows all around her rose up and attacked her attempting to cut her to pieces.

Dreamer offered his hand and was about to say something to the woman on the ground when the earth began to shake. It was so violent that he had to drop to a knee and brace himself. Looking back, as the dust began to settle, Dreamer saw corpses begin to rise from the ground. His eyes drew to slits for a moment as he began to think. There would be too many forces, with the undead and the brotherhood attacking as one, the village wouldn't stand a chance. Dreamer sighed and helped the woman to her feet as a knight came upon them to aid the woman.
"Get everyone somewhere safe, stay in a group..." Dreamer looked back at the approaching undead, "Ill handle them". He walked away from the woman and the knight, expecting him to follow his instructions, if they had not already thought of it themselves. Drawing another blade, he held one in each arm as he approached the enemy.
" Animate thy armor, Animate thy weapons, Dead need them no longer..."
Dreamer sang, his spell forming even as he began to speak the words. The weapons from fallen enemies and comrades began to rise, as if wielded by an invisible force, and began to approach in increasing number's toward the undead horde. At the moment, the number of weapons only came to about dozen, but there were alot of undead with weapons. For each enemy struck down, their weapons shall rise to battle.
"Let the games begin..." Dreamer whispered, amused.

The ground began to shake quite violently almost knocking her off her feet again. "Get everyone somewhere safe, stay in a group..."
The Knight stepped towards Morgana's side and she could tell by the tone of his body lanugage he was going to say something to the Mage to remind him to whom he was speaking- the ward of King Uther and therefore a Lady of the court. He felt the Mage needed to be reminded of the fact that Morgana did not have to answer to him. With a small guess as to what might happen Morgana rested an arm on his shoulder and nodded her head towards the Mage.
The Mage saw how much worse it was getting and said he would handle the undead that had risen. "The Mage is correct- the battle is worsening. Soon this town is going to be more overrun than it currently is. We need to get everyone out of her as quickly as possible." Now where to take people though. Of course her thought was to go to Camelot, but it safe enough for women and children to be travelling that far only on foot? "Camelot is the safest place but will the roads be safe between here and there?"
"While Camelot is probably the safest place it is still some distance away on foot. There are caves nearby that are easy to defend and close enough to get to on foot." Morgana nodded that the caves were probably their best option. "Let's go." The first thought in Morgana's head was that Uther was not going to be letter her go out anytime soon...but she shood off the thought as the concern for the people's safety came back to mind. The town leaders, the men they had stopped, Morgana and the Knight worked as quickly as possible to get people into the caves and get some defenses set up.
