Felicity was still red in the face from the ridiculous accusations. Yes, she and Legend had had a few run ins and he had taught her some magic and he had saved her life and she'd saved him. Yes, he was attractive and she couldn't help but to smile and feel rather nervous and flushed in his presence, but that didn't mean she had feelings for him!
"I don't know what you two are talking about." she said, fighting off a smile. She glanced at Legend, looking for a reaction. He seemed to agree that it wasn't a good idea. No. They were only friends. Servants shouldn't have romantic relationships. She had to dedicate her life to Lady Raven and the unborn child she and Lancelot were to have. "Legend is only my friend."
Was he? Was it possible that maybe she wanted more? She had never had a man feel actual love for her. Yes, she had dreamt of it occasionally, but didn't think the opportunity would arise. No. She did not have any feelings for Legend. She wasn't allowed.

Legend's cheeks were also red. He looked at Felicity, and then looked away. She was very pretty, at least he thought so. But they were just friends, right? He saved her, she saved him, he taught her some magic. What's wrong with that? She was just his friend. But he was finding that he did have feelings for her. He silently wondered if she had feelings for him too. He shook his head to clear that thought. No, she deserved someone better then him. She was too...beautiful for him. At least that's what he thought.

Lancelot rubbed his shoulder where she had hit it. He said, smiling, "I did not know it had been established that she was embarassed enough. What about Legend here .... do you think he is embarassed enough as well." He saw that she was clutching the roses quite closely, and seemed to be quite possessive of him. "Now, why would I ever leave my birthday girl?" He wondered whether her stomach was bothering her by the ways she was holding it.
Lancelot, even though it appeared that Raven was concerned about him staying where he was, smiled as he looked back and forth between Felicity and Legend. They looked equally red in the face so he assumed that their level of embarrassment was similar, even though they denied everything. "Yes Felicity, I'm sure you don't. And as far as I'm aware that's how most couples begin, as friends. It makes sense, don't you think?" He looked at Legend, and saw how he tries to avoid eye contact, and knew that some of these thoughts had already popped into his head. Lancelot reminded himself now, though, that these things should just be allowed to take their course, without outside interference. So he kept any additional thoughts to himself.

"Please forgive me, my dear Felicity and dear Legend. I did not know." Raven apologized. She felt a bit dumb but she was only interested in the goings on of her best friend's life. Raven held Felicity close to her heart and felt she was more like a sister to her than a servant. A few days ago, Raven upped Felicity's pay by ten gold coins. Raven stayed close to Lancelot but embraced her dear friend and loyal servant.

Felicity returned the embrace, wondering if Legend could sense her embarassment. She hoped not. Even if she might have some sort of feelings in return, she would not reveal them to him. If she would tell anyone at all, it would be Lady Raven. She trusted Raven and felt that she could confide in her with anything.
"I'm not embarrassed because there's nothing to be embarrassed about." Felicity smiled, "I am simply red in the face because of the....the breeze....The....erm...the breeze." Terrbile excuse, but it was all Felicity could think of at the moment.
Felicity wanted to change the subject now. She gave Lady Raven a smile and opened her own hand, revealing the stone that had Lady Raven Silvesters name carved into it.
"For you, M'Lady!" she said cheerfully. "You could use it for decoration or to hold down parchment on windy days....I know it's not much, but I worked hard on it."

Seeing Felicity present her gift, Legend bowed and the hand with the raven's feather with the golden writing that said 'Lady Raven' on it and presented it to her. "It is not much, I'm afraid but, it's all I could manage on a short notice." He smiled at Felicity and then waved a hand and a beautiful white daisy appeared in her hair. He loved her, he really did.

Felicity blushed a deep shade of crimson when she realized what Legend had done. Was this was way of telling her that he did indeed have feelings for her?
No! Even if he did like her, she would never take it anywhere. Lady Raven and her baby needed her assistance. For, Lady Raven was an extremely busy lady and would need someone to watch the child on certain occasions.
If Felicity formed a relationship, that would only serve as a distraction. She would not risk it. No matter how much she desired to.
"Thank you, Legend." she smiled, she then observed his gift for Lady Raven. "Oh, wow! That's beautiful!" She knew that Lady Raven would adore it.

Raven wasn't really bothered about the gifts. Just the presence of her friends and her beloved was enough for her. "Thank you both. You didn't have to. Your presence is all I need my friends." she said. Raven smiled. Legend and Felicity were two, very good friends. Lancelot was the man of her dreams. Everything was perfect. Nothing could ruin this.

Post by Lady Morgana le Fey on Nov 17, 2011 3:56:01 GMT
Morgana had watched the townsfolk as well as those of higher rank get more and more excited as Lady Raven's birthday approached. One thing Camelot was known for was parties- and she was sure this celebration would be no different. She loved attending parties however she was unsure if she was going to attend this one or not. Morgana had come to accept that she most likely had magic due to the unexplainable circumstances in her past and although the King had finally relaxed his views on magic, she was still hesitant to shout it from the castle turrets. She knew of Raven's magic abilities and that she was good friends with Merlin- it truly was nice to know that she wasn't the only one, but she was still a little uncomfortable about someone whose magic was already so strong.
The day of the party arrived and she had been weighing the pros and cons of going and of course discovered that the pros outweighed the cons so she had Gwen help her dress in her purple gown with the blue overdress and then her hair curled loosely down her back. Her gift for Raven was a pendant necklace- a braided silver chain with an emerald pendant. Hopefully Raven would appreciate it. When she arrived at the location for the festivities she saw that much was underway but she noted that neither Arthur or Merlin were there which she thought was odd. Surely neither of them would miss such an important party? She saw Raven a short distance away but saw that she was surrounded by Lancelot and her maid Felicity so rather than barge right in with her gift she took a glass of wine from a passing servant and waited to get Raven's attention.

Lancelot elected to stand back slightly from Raven as she took the time to embrace Felicity. He had no doubt that Raven was more than affluent enough where she did not need any of the gifts that had been brought. However, it was also clear that she wanted to express her appreciation to both Felicity and this Legend fellow for their thoughtfulness. Lancelot, though, did smile slightly at the way that the two of them had reacted to their comments about them as a couple. He had no doubt that Raven's intent had not been to embarrass either of them, but especially Felicity. The girl had made no attempt to hide the fact that she had turned red, but her reason why was almost laughable, and it was all that Lancelot could do to suppress a laugh.
Legend, on the other hand, when he produced the flower in Felicity's hair, as he presented his gift to Raven sent another message. It was clear that the friendship was a deep one, and if anything, that he was more willing to display an outward show of affection than she was. Obviously, he thought, it had to be clear to the girl, as well as everyone else could see, that if Felicity would allow it that they could easily be a couple. Lancelot had wondered, for several moments, why there had as yet been no representative of the Pendragons at this event, as of yet. Out of the corner of his eye, however, he had seen the approach of the beautiful Lady Morgana. It was clear, as his head turned to her that she did not want to interrupt the proceedings too much.
However, she was the King's ward and allowances could be made. Lancelot's eyes locked on Morgana's and he wondered if she knew, or if anyone else did, of the crush that he had had on her from the time he had originally arrived at Camelot. He had denied those feelings, as he had those for Gwen. In truth, it was Raven who had selected him, and if his dreams had been realized he would have sought out another. However, he was a Knight and that was not the way he had felt that he should travel. However the feelings were there and were strong, even as she shook them off. "Lady Morgans," he bowed, "Welcome to the the festivities, Are you to be the sole representative of the Pendragons?"

Raven had slipped off. She wasnt feeling too well. She went to the edge of the festivites. Some of her Creed watched over her. The child inside of her was restless. She wanted to be rid of it. She saw the look in Lancelot's eyes told her everything. He didn't have feelings for her. She shed a few tears. She sunk down to the floor in a flood of silent tears. He didn't love her. That much was true. The dark magic welled up inside of her, wanting to break free. She managed to control it.

Felicity noticed Lady Raven slipping away from everyone and made no hesitation in following. She knew Lady Raven well enough to know that she was upset about something. As she made her way over to her, she noticed that Raven was crying.
"M'lady....What's the matter?" Felicity hated seeing Lady Raven in tears. She had never seen her mistress cry and she did not like it one bit. "What has brought tears to your eyes on a day like this?"

As she watched from the edge of the festivities she couldn't help but feel the happiness washing off the crowds. The people of Camelot always rose to the occasion when there was a party to be had. She had hoped to wait for a break in the festivities to present Raven with her gift but as she was the ward of the King it was pretty hard to fly under the eye of anyone...even if she wanted to hide herself amongst the crowd she tended to stick out like a sore thumb. She was known as the "Lady" of Camelot, even if she was just Uther's ward, since neither Uther or Arthur were married she often filled the role of hostess which would normally have been the role set aside for their wives.
It didn't take long for her presence to be noticed. Lancelot must have noticed her out of the corner of his eye as his head turned and locked onto her face. "Lady Morgana, Welcome to the the festivities, Are you to be the sole representative of the Pendragons?" Morgana acknowledged his bow with an incline of her head and glanced around the festivities again just to double check that her foster brother was no where in sight. "Thank you Lancelot... It would seem so, The King sends his blessings and happiness but has other matters, however it is unlike Arthur to miss such a social occasion but perhaps something came up that he could not get out of." Morgana approached to give Raven her gift, but noticed that in the time that Lancelot was welcoming her, Raven had slipped off. She looked around to see if she could see the other young lady, but was unable to see her in amongst the crowd. Morgana couldn't help but wonder if Lady Raven had left simply because she arrived or was Morgana simply being a little paranoid. Anyone who didn't know Morgana well would simply say she was being a little paranoid and that perhaps Lady Raven had gone off to greet another friend, but that little voice in Morgana's head kept saying otherwise. Prior to Lancelot seeing her she had watched with delight as Raven, her maid, Lancelot and another young man all seemed to get on wonderfully even to the point of teasing the young maid and young man who were clearly head over heels- and she didn't have to be a seer to see that...and then as soon as Lancelot acknowledging her Raven had slipped away into the crowd. That was too much of a coincedence to rule out her presence.

Before Lancelot had even had a chance to reply to the courteous response from Lady Morgana, he saw out of the corner of his eye, that Raven had turned and walked away. He thought that was quite unusual behavior ... this was her celebration after all. It was quite rude, was it not, to walk away from the Lady Morgana without even a word of greeting or acknowledgment? "Excuse me Lady Morgana, I am sure that we will return in a moment."
He was not sure exactly what was going on, but he knew Raven well enough to know that something was bothering her. he saw that Felicity had taken out after he, and he followed Felicity. He was close enough to hear the girl say something about tears. "Now ..... Raven ..... what is this ..... why the tears. You are celebrating your birth day and receiving gifts. Shouldn't that be a time of joy? Besides, I am sure that Lady Morgana is deserving of a better reception, don't you think?"

Legend looked at Felicity and smiled softly. He raised his head when he saw Lady Morgana. He bowed his head. And then followed Felicity. He wanted to ask her something, but wasn't too sure about it. He looked at her and blinked. His cheeks flamed red when he looked at her.
