It was late one afternoon, and Camelot was preparing for yet another party. Entertainers were flocking in, the local taverns werw providing ale. Food was being put out on a long wooden table. Everywhere was decorated in Autumnal colours. It was like the square had tramsformed. It was Lady Raven's birthday and the celebrations were being held today and tomorrow. Everyone seemed excited. The only time everyone had fun was on birthdays and Yuletides. Raven looked out of her window now and again with a smile upon her lips. "I must get ready." she sighed.
In her bedroom, she dressed in a scarlet dress. It was made out of velvet and had gold trimmed along the neck and hemline. The sleeves were long and covered the back of her hands. Her maid put some ivy around her head and put her silver Pentagram around her neck. At last Raven was ready. It was seven before she came out of her house.
She rode up to the square. Coruses of 'Happy birthdays' rang out. Raven dismounted. The party was in full motion. The young witch looked out for any signs of Arthur, Merlin, Felicity or Lancelot. Raven was handed some wine and went to look for them

Felicity was very excited about Lady Raven Silvesters birthday. Excitement was all about and she could hardly contain her excitement. She held the stone in her hand. She had spend months and months artistically carving Lady Ravens name into it so that it looked decent.
The young servant girl also had some beautiful flowers that she'd picked. Bright and colorful they were. Blues, yellows, reds, and purples. Felicity hopd that her gifts would be good enough. She wished that she had a lot of money to spend. Then she could have gotten something better.
Felicity spotted the beautiful Lady Raven Silvester and smiled. She made her way over to her and offered the flowers. The dress that Raven wore was so elegant and stunning. Felicty didn't own nice dresses such as this and was always amazed to see the vivid colors and detail put into the noble womens.
"For you, M'lady. Happy birthday." Felicity was not quite sure if she was supposed to present the stone yet, so she held it tight in her hand.

Legend watched from afar. He spotted Felicity and grinned slightly. He liked the girl. He considered her a friend. He should have went over, but this was Legend, he didn't go over just stood there and watched the excitement go on. He looked around, hoping to catch site of Chase, Lillian, or Raven herself. He spotted the noble by Felicity and smiled again.

Raven smiled at Felicity. She hugged her friend and took the flowers and smelt them. "They're beautiful, Felicity. Thank you." Raven smiled and hugged the servant girl again. She was happy to have her friends here but she wouldn't be truely happy until the man she loved turned up. That man was Lancelot. A knight of Camelot and her lover. "Felicity, have you seen Sir Lancelot Du Lac?" she asked.

"I'm afraid I haven't, M'Lady." she responded. "I'm sure he'll turn up in no time, though. He is the love of your life after all." Felicity found the relationship between Lady Silvester and Lancelot incredibly romantic and wondered if she would ever experience the thing called love. It didn't seem likely. She was only a servant after all. Not that she minded too much. She had friends and that would be good enough for her. Speaking of friends, Felicity spotted Legend and gave him a wave, smiling. She hoped he would come over and join them in conversation, for he was an interesting person to talk to. She had not expected him to show up, but was pleased. He was a pleasant person and the two had had an exellent encounter once when she was in the forest. He'd saved her from a terrible creature and for that she would be forever grateful.
Felicity looked around for Lancelot. She wanted Lady Raven to have a perfect day and it would not be complete without her Knight and father of her unborn child. She did not see him yet.
"Lady Raven....I was wondering when I was to present my gift to you?" she was not sure and felt silly for not knowing. "Oh, and would you like to meet a friend of mine. He's over there all alone and I'm sure he'd like to meet you."

Lancelot figured that Raven would be looking for him at the celebration, but he did not want to attract too much attention, so he desired to make a later appearance than most. He figured that it would give her a chance to visit with some of her other friends. He entered and saw her talking to a servant .... Felicity he thought her name was. She looked to be quite animated when she talk and Lancelot thought he saw an amused smile on Raven's face.
He saw Felicity look up and eyes apparently catch someone else's face across the the room. It was apparently a friend, since a smile came to the servant's face and she waved, seeming to encourage them to come over to meet Rave, the birthday girl. Lancelot smiled thinly. He had entered the room, but just as one more of Arthur's contingent of Knight's, he hadn't really been noticed as of yet.
As the young man seemed to begin to cross the room he saw that the servant girl was scanning the room once more. Was it he that she was searching for, or someone else? He nodded greetings to other Knights as he passed them. Within his cloak were the only gifts that the Knight of common origins could easily afford.
He saw that the young girl was once more turned to Raven in conversation. Raven seemed to be diverted by her servant's conversation, which allowed Lancelot to approach without being noticed until he was right upon them. "My Lady Raven, forgive me for my late appearance at your festivities. I am sure that many or most have brought gifts worthy of you." He stopped and withdrew 2 red roses from beneath his cloak. "These and my love is all I have to offer you," and he dipped his head in a deferential nod, hoping that he had pleased her by just being there.

Raven's eyes welled up with tears of happiness. "That's all I need." she said and wrapped her arms around him. Everything was perfect now. The man she loved was here. She turned to Felicity. "Felicity, I would like you to meet Sir Lancelot Du Lac." she smiled. Raven rested her head on Lancelot's shoulder and held the roses close to her heart.

Legend watched. He walked over when Felicity beckoned, he put his hands behind his back and summoned up a feather of a raven with the name 'Raven Silvester' written in fiery golden letters. He bowed to Raven, Lancelot, and Felicity. "I am honored, my lady, to be here on this special day of yours." Then he straightened and said, a slight grin on his face, "Let me introduce myself, I am Legend Filiken, beginner mage of white magic." He bowed again.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir Lancelot." Felicity said to him with polite smile, "I've certainly heard a lot about you."
She smiled at Legends introduction. She was pleased to be surrounded by friends on such a special day. She hoped that Lady Raven and Legend would get along.
"Hello, Legend." she said to him with a beam on her face.

Legend looked at Felicity, he smiled. "Hello Felicity, how are you on this fine day?" They'd become friends on the day he'd saved her from a wild beast in the forest. He still thought back on that day and kept wondering what would have happened if he hadn't been there? He didn't like to think about it, so he cleared his head with a grin for Felicity.

Raven smiled at Legend. "I am Lady Raven Silvester. Horsewoman and Dark Mage. I specialize in healing potions and ointments." she said. Raven looked at Legend and her best friemd, Felicity. "Forgive me if I sound rude, but, are you two seeing each other?" she asked the mage and her servant girl.

Felicity turned scarlotte at Lady Ravens words. She had not expected such a question to pop up. Felicity had no romance in her life and doubted it would ever happen.
Felicty wasn't a bad looking girl, but her social skills were quite awkward so she doubted that any man would ever fall in love with her. She'd never expected it to happen, but was alright with that. Servants weren't supposed to be in love with anyone. They had to focus on their jobs and that was how it should be.
Legend was a great guy. The best friend she ever had and she hardly knew him apart from little run ins and that day in the woods. He was too good for her, though. He deserved a more civilized girl. Not a little servant.
"Um, no we're not." she said to Lady Raven, still red in the face. "He's a very good friend of mine."

Legend also found himself turning quite red at Lady Raven's words. His face remained red even after Felicity had said they were only good friends. As Legend looked at her though, he felt a little disappointed at her answer. So what he was thinking was that he kinda sorta maybe liked her. But he'd never tell her.

Lancelot saw as soon as he had offered his small gift, and his concise set of words, that it was all that she was looking for. He returned her embrace with a hug of his own. “Then I will do my best to provide the attention and love that you require.” Since they were in public, and at a party in her honor, he thought that public displays of affection should be kept at a minimum. Besides, she was basically greeting guests right now, and what he should be doing is assisting her, especially when several approached at the same time. He saw, quite easily, even as she greeted people , that she was keeping a tight grip on the gift that he had provided, and was holding them close, as she kept him close as well.
Lancelot watched, as a young man approached from across the room, and listened to the young lady next to Lady Raven introduce herself. “It is equal pleasure and honor to meet you as well …. And you are?,” he asked. Within a few moments the young man had reached them and had introduced himself as Legend Filiken. “Legend … is an unusual but a strong sounding name. I take it that you have demonstrated some ability in the magical realm. There are many still, who do not respect its practice. I am not one of them,” and Lancelot gave the young man a respectful nod. “I am sure the Lady Raven is appreciative of your presence as well.”
The young lady immediately got into a conversation with the young Legend, and he could see that with the smile on her face she apparently liked the young man. He returned her salutation quite readily as well. They both seemed to have a certain level of affection for the other. Lancelot wondered exactly how serious it might actually be. Since Raven introduced herself to him it was obvious that this was the first time that she had met him, and it was clear that the same question that was on Lancelot’s mind as well.
The red coloration on Felicity’s face explained much more than her denial did, to which Lancelot smiled. It was obvious that Felicity felt something for the boy, but it was equally clear that she was afraid that he did not feel the same way. She obviously wanted to keep him as a friend. “I think it’s clear that you are very good friends, or at least wish to be. The question frequently is whether that friendship might develop into something more,” Lancelot smiled a bit slyly.

Raven playfully hit Lancelot. "Sweeetheart! Can't you see Felicity is embarrassed enough?" said she. Raven kept a tigh hold on the roses. She smiled and nuzzled into her lover. "Please don't go." she begged Lancelot. She nuzzled him. Raven held her stomach as she felt it lurge.
