Avaris clenched her jaw at his pride, but reached around the leather straps of her helmet. She pulled and her obvious attitude showed through with her actions. With a a deep, annoyed sighed, she pulled once more and removed hre helm in one swift, almost graceful movement.
It would have been beautiful, if not for the scowl she revealed, hard upon her soft face. Her dirty blonde hair fell against her shoulders and she simply glared at him., hard, as if staring straight into his soul. She had not seen this encounter in her visions, which left her in a fowl mood now. She didn't take failure well and she didn't like him either.
He was staring, but she couldn't blame him. She had obviously lied and couldn't cover it up. She stood up as tall a she could manage, chewing on her words. "What are you staring at? This is who I am...can you not deal with your revelation boy?"

Chase was amazed. He laughed at his foolishness. The knight was a girl. It all made sense now, the knights reluctance to show his face and agreeing to go to Camelot but not showing her face till then. It also explained why the knight wanted to be a mystery in the first place. After all if the king found out about a girl playing as a knight he would at the very least send her home in disgrace. Possibly even kill her for mocking knighthood. Now how could he use this?
"Well this really is interesting. You do realize what will happen to you if anyone discovers your secret? I don't care if you are a girl but most others aren't so kind. If I were to tell anyone things could get pretty ugly for you. Don't worry I won't tell anyone. In fact I'll even get the nobles off your back. However in return I you will work for me. Don't worry I'll let you do what you want most of the time but I may need you to do certain... questionable jobs for me" Chase didn't feel like beating around the bush. He laid all his cards on the table at once.

Avaris cocked her head. "Perhaps you've forgotten, I did not lie. I am a Malvallet and my father was in fact friends with Uther. So I lied about my gender, but that is the only falsehood I present you with. " She stood up straight with her own pride. His words were blackmail yes, but were they worth sucking up to?
"What makes you think I will do your bidding? What have I to fear, and especially from you?"

Chase wondered if the girl was an idiot. Even if her father was friends with Uther that wouldn't help her. She would still be punished just as an example that women should keep their place.
"So just because you are a Malvallet has nothing to do with this. The fact remains that if the nobles find your secret you will be killed. They will want revenge on a girl that dared to beat their sons. It is my information that you should fear not me. True I can kill you but that isn't very hard. That is why you will do what I say." Chase considered continuing his speech and reminding the foolish girl that he would pretty much be letting her have free reign but decided against it. The girl wasn't an idiot. She would listen to him or pay the price.

Avaris furrowed her brow at him and swallowed the lump down her throat. She stared at him angrily, trying not to believe he had locked her in on a deal. "So...what....terms...will you restrict me to? What exactly have you planned anyway?" She folded her arms and stared into him once more, angered that she had been defeated in such a way. He obviously seemed against her gender, which only angered her more. She was not going to be used and she did not approve, but had no way out of the mess that had been created.

Chase wondered at the girls idiocracy. He had already told her what she was asking him. How annoying that he would have to repeat himself.
"I already said you can do what you like. However every once in a while I may need you to perform a task. Maybe use your noble connections to get something done for me. Oh and of course you aren't allowed to tell anyone who might know your secret that I am blackmailing you. It might get a little ugly for them if you do. Understand!" Chase said in a tone the brooked no disagreement.

Avaris clenched her jaw. She hated his plan and how she had now stupidly locked herself into this mess. She tightened her stomach and furrowed her brow up at him once more. "Fine...whatever." she replied in a harsh tone as she folded her arms.
"I guess you know where to find me then....simply because you have magic." She huffed, grabbing Gavin's reins as he walked slowly back to her, head down as if he was asking forgiveness. "call me when you need me, not that I'll come with a smiling face, but i'm sure you knew that already."

Chase watched the woman knight rode away. He couldn't actually track her with magic but he wasn't about to tell her that. The less she knew of him the better. He started back to find his horse wondering how he could use his new-found knowledge to his advantage. While he could se several scenario's where the girl could be useful for now he would let her alone. Make her feel like he wasn't too demanding so she wouldn't mind any tasks he might later give her.
Chase mounted his horse and started riding back to Camelot. All he needed to do now was come up with a suitable excuse for why he hadn't brought back the silver knight. He rode through the trees amazed at just how lucky a guy he was. After all not many of the magicians had a knight under their control. He wondered just how many other powerful people had secrets he could use. Chase would become the most powerful by any means necessary.
