Dreamer tried his best to block Chase out of his head and scan the woods infront of him. He walked carefully, ducking slightly out of caution, since they were much farther into the forest now. Something seemed off to him, it seemed too quiet, and there was an eerie sense of danger in the air. Dreamer was about to move his head to the left when he caught what Chase said, "...From what I hear despite the fact that you have no true friends some girl managed to pick you up. Well I suppose beggars can't be choosers can they Dreamer."
Dreamer was caught off guard with that comment, he didnt know what he was talking about. Girlfriend? it was an awkward lie to bring up. Then again, why should he lie? Its not like it really effected him, he didnt have any female he was that close to. Maybe someone he might have wanted to get close to but... Wait....was he talking about Casalynn?
"Wha...?" Dreamer began before he was stopped short from a sudden pain erupting in his left shoulder. Snapping his head to attention, Dreamer saw an arrow sticking out of his shoulder. It hurt, it hurt really bad. Dreamer screamed his next words, magic that he spoke out of sudden desperation.
AHHHHHHHHH Magic guard me, no more pain Magic heal me, no more pain
Dreamers magic began to take effect, but he made a mistake. Biting his lip, Dreamer snapped one end of the arrow and yanked it out. His lip was bled for a moment before his magic took care of that. Dreamer turned his head, his attention set on his opponent now. In the time it took Dreamer to heal himself, no more than a dozen arrows had snapped against his shield.
It was an ambush

Chase flew upwards into the foliage to escape the arrows that whistled through the air he had been occupying a moment before. Well Chase had to admit he hadn't expected the monsters to have that good aim. Which reminded him he had better put up a shield before the monsters adjusted their aim to shoot through his scant covering of leaves. "Adel cú hwesta" He murmed.
There now any arrows that came anywhere near him would be blown off course by a wind. Although now he thought about it they might get blown into Dreamer. Chase smirked to himself imagining the picture of Dreamer getting hit by an arrow. Only to see it happen a second later. Dreamer's scream cut through the air. Chase smiled at the youths foolishness. Chase would never have allowed himself to get hurt in such a pathetic ambush. Nor would Chase ever scream so foolishly. All Dreamer was doing was ensuring that all the creatures' attention was on him.
Well as much fun as it was to listen to Dreamer scream Chase decided it would be smarter if he started a counter attack. He flew down and headed to the left where the highest concentration of arrows had come from. Several black bolts flew by him his shield redirecting them relatively easily.
"Amarth lhach thoron" Chase shouted as a approached four humanoid creatures dressed all in black. A wind surged and mixed with the fire he summoned and struck the group. Three of them were instantly killed by the blast but the fourth continued crawling away. Chase finished him off easily by chanting "Lost Llómë"
Chase started heading back towards Dreamer wondering what had happened with him and the other creatures.

Fire lashed out like a whip as Chase approached the group to the left, taking out one side of the ambush. Unfortunately, it wasn't quiet over yet. Dreamer turned his head to see a group of three approaching him from the right, each wielding a short blade and wearing black clothing . All that Dreamer could assess about them was that they weren't your average bandits, they were intelligent. Another volley of arrows, only three more from behind the approaching enemy and two from behind, stuck his shield and shattered.
Dreamer didn't worry about those, he was going to take care of the approaching threat. Drawing a blade from his wrist, Dreamer sent it flying awkwardly at one of the approaching bandits. The bandit sidestepped and dodged, enough time for Dreamer to throw one at another, again missing.
Perfect.
Dreamer was left with one approaching bandit, and two that were a few paces behind. Dreamer drew two of his daggers at his belt, and charged forward. The bandit brought his blade down as if to cut Dreamer in half, but he was quick enough to move to the side and bring his foot across his side, knocking him down.Twisting, Dreamer saw the other two approach him at the same time, one with a stabbing motion and the other bringing his blade at a side swipe.
Dreamer ducked on his back and brought both of his feet up, both bandits landed straight into his boots. Dreamer then pushed them back so that they were clenching their belly's. Rolling to the side, Dreamer got up and kicked the first one in the face as he tried to get up.
He stayed there.
Turning back to the other two, he saw them watching him and Dreamer just smiled. "Game set" he said, toying with them. They caught the bait and both charged at him. Dreamer threw both of his daggers, and in such a close distance, both hit their targets.
One in the neck
The other in the chest
They bother fell over dead

Chase flew back to find Dreamer disposing of the final bandit. It appeared that Dreamer had taken up knives as a weapon just a Chase had. Did that man's audacity have no end? If Chase didn't know better he would have sworn that fate itself was causing them to become enemies. Not that Chase needed any more reasons to despise the idiot.
Chase started off to where the bandits had come from and started searching for tracks. Hopefully he would be able to follow the tracks back to the lair of the mage. Hopefully Dreamer would get lost trying to track and not be able to claim any credit for Chase's imminent victory. After all the bandits hadn't been much trouble and he was confident he could take on their leader. Still at least for once he got to do something fun for the guild.

Dreamer turned, and there they stood, the five left in the ambush. A line of men in black, wielding short swords pointed at the ready. They must have assessed that arrows were pointless, but Melee was possible. Dreamer had shown he was at least apt in the arts of blade, even though most of it was flexibility.
Four of them advanced on Dreamer in a sprint, one stayed behind. Dreamer knew exactly why, and it was what he hoped would happen. Dreamer drew two more blades from his belt, and charged forward as well. They knew he already controlled magic, and Dreamer wanted to end the slight battle quickly, so he did.
Blinding lightand speed to fight
As Dreamer charged, a controlled explosion of light blinded the four charging bandits, causing them to stop with they arms raised. Dreamer, now running as if time had slowed for him, kept charging. It was easy, too easy, as he passed each of the bandits he let his blades stab and slice at their bellies.
They didn't have a chance.
Then Dreamer was suddenly there, right in front of the bandit glaring at him. His spell had ended, so the man was surprised when he found his opponent standing in front of him. What scared him more was that his blade was gone, and Dreamer was holding it.
"Run" Dreamer said, and the Bandit didn't even flinch as he turned and ran. Dreamer gave him a few seconds before chasing after him. "Follow" Dreamer said as he passed Chase, who was looking at something on the ground.

Chase cursed to himself as once more Dreamer tried to outdo him. The teen was pathetic and yet constantly outdid Chase through a mixture of luck and idiocracy. How did Dreamer know the man would run back to his base. While it was true that the probabilities did indeed indicate that the man was too stupid to do otherwise Chase was sure that Dreamer didn't know that. True Chase had to admit that Dreamer was much greater than he had initially guessed but he was still no match for Chase.
Chase continued flying above the tress following the bandit who was sprinting deeper into the forest where the paths disappeared. Chances were Dreamer was getting caught in the brambles. How in the world did Dreamer expect to follow the man without alerting him. Unlike Chase Dreamer couldn't fly. With that last thought of superiority Chase continued on following the sound of the bandits desperate flight.

Dreamer didnt look back to see if chase was following, he knew the boy would do as Dreamer had said. Not because Dreamer had said it, but becouse it was in the boy's best interests, it was the fastest way in finding the enemy mage. Dreamer knew the boy practically lusted over the bragging rights of taking out the enemy mage, even when Dreamer himself was conflicted on the subject.
One half of him wanted to kill the mage, only so chase would live with the knowledge that Dreamer bested him again. The other half didnt care, it only wanted the job done. It seemed Dreamer would have to wait and see how it turned up, hoping an opportunity arose.
Following the Bandit wasn't the easiest thing he had ever done, but neither was it the most difficult. Dreamer only needed spells to be supernaturally fast, not fast in general, he already was. Dreamer was light on his feet, and quick, with a abnormal amount of stamina. Lots of physical activity, such as fast paced dancing and acrobatic free running, coupled with his easy breathing from breathing technique when singing, made it easier for Dreamer to follow the man.
Although it was tricky when the man took sharp turns every now and then. Dreamer would have to catch himself in a split second so he didn't run past or into something. The man knew the forest much better than he did, which was his only advantage.

Chase continued flying above the woods following Dreamer. It appeared that his plan, risky as it was, was working. The man was still running from that and appeared to be making for the deepest part of the forest. Chase wondered just what the bands camp would look like. Would it simply be a normal camp or would they have taken over some abandoned castle, a cave seemed plausible. Well he would see soon enough.
Chase looked around him and noticed that they were approaching a small lake. Was the bandits camp by this then?

*(Brief Description of the Enemy Camp)
Hidden in the forest of Balor is the Dark Mage's Lair, banded together with his Bandit minions. The actual "Lair" is a cleverly constructed cavern in the earth, which is neither exceptionally deep nor is it long, a simple but creative hut. It lies at the center with about a dozen tents surrounding the cave. With the exception of the previous raid party, that Dreamer and Chase defeated earlier, there is little less than a handful left. Estimated four to eight bandits.
Its true, there is a river nearby, it can be heard as a two or three minute walk away. Its not far, but becouse of how close to the trees are around the camp now, it cant easily be seen. There are no horses here, none would fit. It is still midday so there is a few campfires waiting for the never-to-return raid party.
*(Back to the RP)
The bandit was just making it into camp, a straight shot, and Dreamer saw the bandit start to raise his arms and lift his head. Dreamer, not far from the bandit, made an effort and pushed himself and pounced on the Bandit. With one blade Drawn, Dreamer slammed the bandit to the ground, pushing his face down and breaking his nose, he took the blade and logged it in the side of the bandits neck.
There were a gew girgling and choking sounds that made Dreamer want to puke, but he just turned his head to the side and waited for the man to die. Dreamer then grabbed his legs and dragged him back to the forest and planted him behind a tree, hiding him from wandering eyes. Dreamer closed his eyes as he grasped the hilt of his blade and pulled it out of the mans throat. He almost did throw up, the stench of blood finally caught up to him as he wiped the blade off on the mans shirt, still turned away.
Dreamer fought away the realization that he was a murderer now, argueing that they were bandits, not innocent men. These men had murdered innocents, Dreamer was simple preventing another innocent from dying. With that, Dreamer pushed himself back to the task at hand, he didn't want to face his sins quiet yet.
He still had a job to do.
Dreamer waited by a tree, a few trees away from the dead body, and scanned the camp from the ground. Dreamer waited until Chase was beside him, still in the air, before he asked Chase if he could see anything usefull from above.

Chase flew around the camp in a circle making sure that he hadn't missed anything. After arriving back to Dreamer's position he lowered himself until he was right by him. More for convenience than because it would help them plan their next move.
Chase thought about Dreamer's question for a moment before answering. "Well pretty simple layout a bunch of tents around a cavern opening. Chances are the mage is in their. River to the west. I saw three people but if every tent holds two people ten then there should be around 6 more left over from the ones we killed. It should be a peace of cake."
Chase already knew what he was going to do. He would burn the tents and then attempt to flood the mage out. No sense in attacking the cave itself where the mage probably had several nasty surprises.

Dreamer listened and closed his eyes, rubbing his temples, thinking. Dreamer might be spotted if he tried to approach the camp at this distance, and if he used his magic to speed himself up the mage might detect them, if he or she had not already. It was problematic, at least for him, Dreamer looked up at chase.
"Your turn, This is nature and your magic is rooted in the elements, do your thing" he smiled as he turned and watched. He gave Chase the go to do what he pleased with the camp. Dreamer felt slightly sorry for the enemy, while also curious as to what might occur. Dreamer wanted to see how Chase has grown so far.

Chase was delighted at the opportunity to show off his new skills. It was probably foolish to show all his tricks to a man who would probably try to kill him one day but Chase wasn't about to pass on a chance to practice actually fighting. It was for times like these that Chase lived for.
He flew off once more heading to the other side of the camp by the stream. As he had guessed there were two men relaxing near the stream. Chase murmered "Alu gurth amarth" as the magic flowed out of him the water in the streambed slowly rose and when he directed it to suddenly coiled into the mens' mouths, they struggled against the water clinging to them and tried to get it out of their lungs. However Chase's objective of keeping them silent had worked.
Chase kept the water their until he was sure the men were dead. Now that he didn't have to worry about anyone on the outskirts he wouldn't have to be so subtle. He flew back over the campsite and hovered above one of the tents that still had occupants. "Lhûg nar" He whispered with glee. A fireball burst from his hand and consumed the tent. Anyone who was inside had no chance of surviving.
Chase looked around but didn't see any more movement. That was all the men in the camp although there might be a patrol or two on the perimeter. If there were they would run into Dreamer. Which wasn't Chase's problem.

Dreamer waited as Chase drifted away, staying patently beside the tree. For awhile he didn't hear anything, and grew tense. Thoughts of chase abandoning him came to mind, that is, until the tents was set ablaze by a fireball. Even if he was an arrogant self centered jerk, Dreamer had to give Chase some credit, he had a way of making himself know.
It wasn't long before Dreamer heard footsteps running recklessly behind him. Dreamer bit his lip as his hand hovered over the hilt of the blade he had taken from the previous bandit until he shook his head. Dreamer looked around and found what he wanted. A rather sturdy and long branch. His weapon in hand, Dreamer waited a few moments until he heard the snap just a step behind the tree. Dreamer moved from behind his cover and brought his club the the stomach of one bandit, knocking him down.
The other bandit, didn't register the damage until too late. Dreamer quickly brought the stick from behind his legs and tripped him, then brought the blade down to his stomach so the air was knocked out of him. The other bandit tried to get up, but Dreamer brought his foot to his face and knocked him out. Thinking it was such a splendid idea, Dreamer did the same to the other bandit.
Bandits-0 Dreamer-2
Boo Ya!
Dreamer dropped the stick and left the bandits to themselves. He began running towards the hole in the ground. The Mage already knew they were there, but was it to late?

Chase started heading towards the cave mouth. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Dreamer doing the same. Well so much for his plan of flooding the cavern. By the time he did that Dreamer would have taken care of the mage. Chase refused to let the man have the satisfaction of beating him yet again. By now the mage would have sensed their presence and was probably already preparing a surprise for them. Now would it be wiser to let Dreamer go in first and take the brunt of the blow so Chase could attack while the two of them were fighting and take the mage out? Or he could just dive in and trust in his own magic.
Chase choose the later as he sped towards the cavern mouth. It would be interesting to see just what tricks the dark magician had up his sleeve. Chase slowed down upon entering the cave. Looking around he noted that it was dimly lit by several torches. He was in a large chamber that held supplies and weapons. It appeared that there was a tunnel continuing on into darkness. Chances were this was were the mage resided.
Chase grabbed a torch and whispered "Nar" The flame grew greatly allowing him to slowly enter the tunnel. It was only the magically enhanced light that protected him from a large shadow that shot towards him. It decapitated upon hitting the torch but the torches light decreased drastically.
So this was the first trap that had been laid out for any intruders. How interesting. Chase continued farther into the cave.

Dreamer saw Chase speeding quickly towards the cave mouth as Dreamer approached. Dreamer shook his head, Chase was going to get himself killed with his arrogance. It would have been much more intelligent to wait for Dreamer so that they would approach together, there were strength in numbers. Unfortunately, this was chase, he saw only strength in himself.
Dreamer whispered a spell as he entered the cave, a few paces behind Chase.
Light appear, lead the way, act my shield, be my spear
Two balls of light formed in front of Dreamer and hovered beside him as he approached at a jog. Dreamer came up behind Chase as he approached deeper in the cavern with a low flame. Dreamer shook his head, seeing his light eluminate much Greater than chases. He followed behind Chase, letting him take the brute end of any traps.
hey, if he wanted to go first, Dreamer would let him.
