Legend looked at Felicity and Lillian, he smiled. "Hello, if you did not hear, I am Legend Filikan." He looked at the mask again, still wondering about what secrets lay beneath. He wanted to reach up and take the mask, but not right now. Right now the man, called Erik, was too tense. Legend would wait until he was more relaxed, then he would make his move. Legend had never really been a curious person. It just seemed now that he needed to know what laid beneath that mask. It was so strong, the need. Legend could not fight it. Then trying to ignore the mask until Erik relaxed her turned to his friend, Chase and asked, "What brings you to the river, Chase?"

Legend nodded, just as eager, when Chase suggested the see what would happen if their water creations fought. Legend flicked his hand and said, "Magnus." The three dragons combined into one, and the dragon, as one, grew into the size of a eagle, it's wings about three feet long. "Interesting...," muttered Legend as the dragon flexed it's wings.

When he had been running, by slowing time, Legend heard Chase say something and then he felt something pushing against him. Before he knew what was going on he fell backwards onto the ground. He picked himself up almost instantly. He watched, after he had tripped on Chase's counter spell, Chase as he performed a few spells. He was impressed. Chase was good, and Legend respected him, not only because he was more experienced then himself but because to him Chase was a friend. The snake was what caught Legend's attention. It was that, that reminded Legend of something he had read in his home town. He had learned about a spell that could create three small, about the size of rabbits, water dragons. Despite the fact that Chase seemed to understand Legend wanted badly to test out the spell. In his curiosity he had memorized the spell to try later on, and now he was about to try it. "I want to try something before we stop," Legend told Chase, his eyes fixated on the water. "Animo aqua draco" The water bubbled for a few moments then the first dragon stuck it's head out. Shortly followed by the other two. Legend felt himself fill with joy, the spell he had been waiting to cast had worked, and, to his surprise, the first time.

Legend found himself in the woods after nightfall. There were leaves rustling all around him. He thought about heading back to the castle. But decided to stay a while longer and explore. It was hard for him to see, there was no moon, so before long he tripped, on what felt like some sort of stick. As he hit the ground he was aware of the burning in his right hand. He knew he had cut himself. Not wanting to walk around like that he whispered, "Sano" His eyes flashed gold and he felt the pain go away and he knew, from experience, that the cut had been reduced to a scar. He got to his feet, again, and set off, again. Remembering a spell he had said once before and the change that it had inflicted on him he said, "Potestas sursum" His eyes flashed golden again. With that being said, everything was clearer. Now, even though it was almost pitch black, Legend could see the ground in front of him. He strode through the woods, he still had no idea why he'd come there. At this point in time he didn't really care. The night was peaceful and the stars that were over head where glistening softly. Soon he stopped and leaned back against a tree, gazing up at the stars twinkling gently. He smiled at the sky and thought of his family. He wonder if they even remembered him. "Of course they remember you," he told himself with slight anger. "How could you even think they did not?" But then there was doubt in the back of his mind, he shook it off and decided to turn back. He made it home and fell asleep for the night.

Legend jogged up beside Chase in time to hear the man wearing the mask say his name was Erik. Legend gave the man a good-natural smile and said, "Chase probably already told you who I was but, my name is Legend." He looked at the girl and smiled, he turned to look at a tree as a bird fluttered into it. Then he looked back at the two in front of him. There was silence.

Legend was distracted from the mask when Chase announced his presence, "Hello, Chase!" he called to the other magician. He didn't know the girl that stood with the strange man with the mask. Perhaps this was going to get interesting, of course everything was interesting with Chase around.

Legend smiled, "Impressive." he paused, "But can you do this?" He flicked his hand, his eyes flashed golden as he spoke, "Animo aqua." The pond grew still for a moment and then little fish made of water leaped high out of the, now rippling, pond. Legend grinned and he decided to try something, "Celeritas." Legend began to walk around, but by slowing time it appeared that he was running, and fast. "Potestas sursum." Like he had read once, the saying of that spell would up one's power. And that was true, as soon as Legend spoke his eyes flashed and then it seemed as though everything was clearer. The sound of the leaping water fish, the breeze rustling the leaves of the trees. The words that no one could understand that came from the wind. The slashes the fish made. Everything was clearer. He grinned at Chase, he was standing in one spot again. "So, what do you think?" He couldn't help himself, he looked at the plant that Chase had blasted and thought, perhaps, "Sano." The plant crafted itself, back to normal. Alright, not back to n0rmal, but close...not really. It looked more like a blob then a plant. Despite the failure Legend grinned, and couldn't help the soft chuckle that escaped him. Legend could care less about a failure, it didn't matter to him. Because he knew that with every failure he became better. He would just keep practicing until he got better. Still grinning he looked at Chase, eager.

Legend though back to the books he had read about white magic in Avalon. It was a long time ago, and he struggled to remember. After a few moments of thinking, Legend replied, but after picking up a sharp stick from the ground and cutting himself, "Sano." The cut vanished to a mere scar. Legend looked up at Chase, quite eager to see his response.

Legend strode along the bank of the river. With nothing really to do he picked up a few stones and watched them skip across the somewhat calm river. A litter farther down stood a man and a girl. The man wore a black cloak and suit. And then there was that white mask upon his face. As soon as Legend laid eyes on it, he was curious. Perhaps far too curious for that matter.

Legend smiled back at Chase, "It's rather easy once you get the hang of it," he said. "I said 'Animate Plant' in Latin." He, at that moment, happened to look at the plant he had animated. It seemed as though the plant was staring back at him, waiting for him to tell it to do something. Legend thought for a moment then decided to inanimate the plant, "Inanimus planeta The plant shank back a little then the root like legs plunged into the ground once more.

Chase's explanation was rather confusing, but after a moment's pause, Legend understood. He listened carefully as Chase tried to explain. He was intrigued by the fact that Chase used different languages, and thought perhaps all that studying of Latin in Avalon payed off. "You mean like this?" Legend asked flipping his hand toward a plant and saying, "Animo planeta." Not even a minute after Legend spoke those words the plant seemed to grow legs. Legend was smiling happily as the plant seemed nothing more the alive. He looked at Chase, waiting to hear what the other magician had to say.
