Name: Cearo ap Cadarn
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Class: Other; Foreigner.
Appearance: Cearo’s appearance hangs in limbo between her mother and father’s people. She inherited the wild, wheat colored hair and pale blue eyes from her father, taking after his coloring. Saxon blood has left her taller than the locals at Camelot, save for most of the men (which she finds adorable). Tall and long of limb she might be, but if one were to ask her, she would tell them that she wishes she was taller and less frail looking.
But that would be the blood from her mother’s people. The British blood (or so she assumes its British) had softened the rougher Saxon features, giving her an almost fae look. Were it not for her size and tell tale coloring, one could almost think her nothing more than a taller local farm girl. That is … if one could overlook her manner of dress and behavior.
While she has enough curvy to make sure no one mistakes her for a boy from behind, she has little more than that. Her life made sure that very little softness stuck to her frame. And even if one were to clean her up and manage to get her in a dress, the calluses on her hands would give away the pretense of her being a real Lady.
However far she has come from the place of her birth, she holds tightly to her native ways; dismissing dresses in place of warm woolens and animal pelts. Skirts, Cearo says, only get in the way. Trousers are much more suited to travel.
Played by: Taylor Swift
Character: Cearo is, for the most part, a happy girl. She has taken what life gave her in stride. And while she might wish she was more her father’s people, she accepts who and what she is. She is fearless when it comes to her own safety, though some might say it’s not a lack of fear but a lack of common sense. Which, in truth, might not be too far off. Practical and strong willed, Cearo has the determination that helped land dragon prowed boats on British shores; a soft looking flower with an iron stem.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths
- Hardy; able to survive on her own off of the land.
- Bilingual
- Knows how to defend herself if she really needs to.
- Youngest child and only daughter of a middling warlord.
Weaknesses
- Obviously Saxon blooded.
- Her English isn’t entirely fluent, which can have some unforeseen side effects. Not to mention she gets lost if people are talking too fast.
- Knows little about the culture of her mother’s people, which gets her more trouble and attention that her incomplete English.
Magic: None
Weaponry Skills: She grew up being taught how to handle a war hammer and shield. And while she’s not master with the hammer, she can handle herself well enough to keep herself alive until more help shows. The shield on the other hand, she’s good with. For defense, yes, but in a pinch she can just as easily use it to bludgeon an attacker, giving bruises and broken bones.
Character History: Cearo was born on the shores of Lloegyr to Ceinwyn and Aelle. Her mother lived just long enough to give her daughter the ability to speak the language of her own people. And while Cearo remembers the woman fondly, she can’t help but wonder if her mother was less than happy to be where she was. Her father, chief of a moderate band, raised his little Halfling daughter almost as if she were legitimate. Even so, she grew up knowing she was an outsider.
She decided to find her mother’s people, to see if she had family to go with her other blood. All she had to go on though was ‘ap Cadarn’ and the mention of Camelot. She had no idea if it was a name, a place or even a title. If her mother was a servant, farmer or a Lady, she didn’t know. She doesn’t even know her way around the land, much less know anything about the people.
Even so, with few prospects among her Saxon home, she gathered her things one day and gave her father one last hug before setting out to see what she could find. Knowing both English and Saxon, she was able to ‘purchase’ protection while traveling with various messengers; trading her language skills for the safety of someone that really knew how to defend themselves.
She might think of herself as entirely Saxon, but even she knows that a girl alone on the road is nothing but a target.
Additional Information:
- She walks everywhere, even though she owns a horse. When asked, she says it’s because her own legs are good enough.
- Has no idea at all if she even has any family alive from her mother’s side, or even where they would be.

She might have a penchant for recklessness, but she wasn't so stupid that she'd wander into hazardous territory alone. Usually. There were a handful of her crew scattered throughout Han'ran, listening for anything that might be useful and on strict orderes to behave like nice little citizens. Jer, on the other hand, had come along per request of her First Mate.
Like she couldn't keep a decent eye on herself or something.
"Jer, keep an eye on Atsum for me, will ya? There's a guy I need to see about a horse."
"...a horse? What do you need a horse for?"
"Figure of speech, Jer."
"I don't know, Lil. He told me to watch you like-"
"Hey, hey," shoulders drew back in mock indignation while her chin rose as she tried to look the taller man in the eye. "First off, I'm gonna see if there's any hardware worth picking up. Secondly," a finger bumped into his chest as if to make her point, "I'm the Captain. Right?"
The taller man was starting to look uncomfortable; caught between two loyalties. "Yeah."
"So I win." Her smile was simply impish, glowing with undertones of victory. "And if anyone asks, just tell 'em I've got you watching Han's guard dog because I wanna keep tabs on him so I don't get bit, kay?" Jer, bless his little heart, had found out about her dirty little secret. Not that he'd really needed to pry. She'd been pretty heavily into some sake by the time the subject of Commander Atsum'ama had come up, and the crewman was unfortunately too perceptive for his (and her) own good.
With an absent wave over one shoulder, she left the cozy little home behind her to head towards to Go'Ruden. She'd been dying to see what they'd come up with.
And there was someone there she wanted to catch up with anyway.
