Name: Leticia Bellemis. Commonly known as Lettice.
Age: 21
Sex: Female
Class: Druid
Appearance:
Lettice has a tawny complexion, with long dark brown hair that falls below her navel. She has large brown eyes and an exotic sense to her look, owing both to her father's foreign heritage and the extended amount of time she spends outside. Lettice has a light, athletic figure with long limbs and a narrow waist. She dresses in earthy greens, browns and beige.
Play-by: Vanessa Hudgens
Character: Lettice is a thoughtful, inquisitive young girl. She has a very laidback and down to earth personality. She is direct in how she speaks and acts and this can sometimes come across as her being too forward or rude. She is competent at most things she sets her mind to. She has been given lots of responsibility from a young age- with a mother such as hers was, it fell to Lettice to look after her younger siblings and other young druids in the camp. In some ways, her family and background made her more mature, but Lettice has led a very specific and sheltered life and is ignorant to the real world outside of the druid camp.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
Natural magical ability
Knowledge of/Affinity with the natural world
Articulate
Friendly
Frankness
Weaknesses:
Ignorance of a lot of subjects and correct behaviours.
Narrow minded
Physically weak
No restraint
Magic: Lettice has the natural magic of a druid. She is an average magician, not especially powerful. She has had no training and therefore her magic is mainly practical, creating fire, tracking spells, making short term predictions etc. She does not see magic as something special, as mostly everyone in the camp possesses a gift. Lettice's specific strength lies in the telekinetic branch of psychic magic. She can move things with her mind alone.
Weaponry Skills: She can used a bow and arrow with accuracy, but there is no power or skill.
Character History: Lettice has lived her entire life in the Druid Camp in the forest just outside of Camelot. The first years of her life were spent in hiding when Uther had ruled so unfairly against magic users, however her lifestyle didn't really change once magic users were accepted in society once more.
Lettice's Druid Mother: Catrain Bellemis is beautiful, but unfortunately she has a weakness for men and romance. Lettice has never known her mother to settle with one partner, and Lettice's many siblings are her half siblings from numerous men. Unlike Lettice, Catrain is an unrealistic dreamer, always certain that the next knight she beds will be the one to sweep her off her feet and whisk her away to his castle.
Lettice's Father: In the stories her mother tells of her father, Benedict Wyr was a dashing knight from far across the seas, with a thick foreign accent and a kind heart. Lettice has never met him, but has been told she looks a lot like him. Her practical abilities are paternal traits.
Lettice has spent her youth living in the druid community, all of whom she views as her extended family. She is extremely loyal to them and knows only their peaceful, gypsy-esque way of life.
Additional Information: Henry Renold is Lettice's half brother. Neither are aware of this at the moment.
Sample Roleplay: Lifted from an old site:
The first arrow clattered harmlessly off of Meral's armour-like scales. The second was aimed more carefully and whistled through the air before piercing the soft membrane of his wing. Scarlet felt herself crying out in pain like it was her own arm that the arrow had hit. Meral growled, but Scarlet could tell he was more worried for her safety than his own.
In a flash Scarlet leapt from her horse's back and had drawn her own sword before her feet hit the ground. She advanced towards the elf as he spoke, her eyes flashing with sudden fire.
Who's he calling a vile creature? came Meral's voice in her head. He seemed a little shaken but the humor in his words reassured Scarlet.
Who's he calling maiden? she retorted, the humor in her reply laced with anger.
"Sir," she began, stressing the word to the point of sarcasm, "That 'beast' happens to be my dragon, and if you do not lower your weapon; I'm afraid I would have to advise you to speed away from me, while you're still able." She kept the fury from her voice, raising it only to be heard from where she was standing.
Meral hovered above, still in the line of Amras's arrow. Scarlet's hair whipped around her face in the downdraft from Meral's laboured wing beats, but she stood her ground, poised, and prepared to fight this stranger if the need be.

Scarlet looked down at his blade pointing at her throat, then ran her own sword up and down its length before pushing it aside. As he spoke, she couldn't help but wonder just who he was. If he was an elf, which he certainly looked like, then he was naive to think she couldn't hold her own in a sword fight. Female elves were equally as strong as the males, most knew that. She felt a twinge of annoyance when he called her undisciplined. She had literally only drawn her sword, so who was he to comment on her swordsmanship skills?
"You have never heard of the dragon-riders?" she asked, genuinely intrigued, "Meral, is my partner, my equal and certainly not a pet. He is as intelligent as you or I, and possibly more so. As for my skills with a sword, how can you call me undisciplined before I have even dealt a blow?"
As she spoke, she sheathed her sword. Aggravated as she was by his words, Scarlet did not want to fight this stranger; he'd already stated he meant her no harm.
"So, it is a force of habit to degrade every woman you have met?" she continued in reply. "If you are naive enough to believe I would be more at home baking, then you are certainly mistaken." The frustration in her voice was clear with the last sentance, however she took a deep breath and continued in a gentler tone.
"I am Scarlet Aldsilver, page in Erivale's army."
She offered her hand to him out of politeness, deciding not to answer his last two questions. For someone with such a brief outlook on dragon-riders, how he could tell they were communicating mentally surprised her a little.
You should leave Meral she told him quietly.
You're not actually going to talk to this elf!
Go back to the keep, get your wing seen too. Her reply was firm, but not meant unkindly.
I'm not leaving you with this man!
Meral, I can take care of myself. You know that as well as I do, and if this man believes I am such a deliacte maiden, then all the better. He won't attack me, and if he does, I can fend for myself. No, go. I'll be fine.
Without another word, Meral submitted and took off, disappearing over the trees and out of sight.
