Casalynn had not had a great day up until now. She had been forced to endure a long telling off from her guardian and several hours of punishment for returning home so late after staying all night at the Ram. She had been locked in her uncles cellar bound by handcuffs which had dented her mood somewhat. Her eyes were still slightly stained with tears, and small signs of red-stinging eyes showed her sleepless nights rest. As her uncle had gone on a long hunting trip it had given her the perfect opportunity to sneak out and have some time left to think.
Casalynn rubbed her sore, blood-stained bruised arms before covering them up under her long cloak. A silent sigh slipped through her mouth as she stared up at the beautiful sky that held no signs of looming rain. The sun was out, radiating the earth that stood underfoot and encouraging the birds to sing their extravagent songs. Even after her uncomfortable night and far from good day, it didn't take long for her mood to be considerably lifted. She felt the smallest glimmer of hope and happiness buried under her feelings of sadness and of being miserable.
She smiled as peasants and people of different classes walked happily past her. She liked it here as she didn't feel as though people were judging her. Lots of people often came here to reflect and to think about things that had happened in their lives and she was no different. The park offered an escape from the busy, hectic goings on of life, and it also offered peace and quiet.
Casalynn carefully scanned her surroundings for somewhere to sit and noticed a perfect spot under a large tree. It provided shelter and shade from the sweltering hot weather in which was shining above her. She elegantly tucked her gown under her legs as she took a seat and lifted her hood from her cloak off her head. Her eyes followed the many people busily scattering past her resuming their daily tasks and duties seemingly oblivious to her presence.

After a great tour from Merlin Selena got to work right away. At first everything went well but she poured all her heart into the work that she was given, from preparing food to washing garments. Selena gave it her all and more and not once did she falter or be discouraged by any comments from the others maids or nobles, just like her father she showed tremendous courage into facing the unknown.
After another successful errand done Selena was given another. She was tasked in getting some fruit from the market, waisting little time Selena exited the castle and headed straight for the market place. Selena quickly grabbed her large but long hooded cloak and gently threw it around her shoulders and body, she made sure it was a tightly on, wrapping herself tightly within its warmth Selena felt the warmth of the suns gaze touching her skin like a tiny feather.
While carrying a basket of fresh fruit Selena noticed someone. She looked over towards a tree and saw a young girl watching the others go about their normal lives, Selena wondered who she was. But what startled her was the fact that the girl was wearing a long hooded cloak wondering if the stranger was alright Selena walked over towards the tree.
There she gave a polite bow to the stranger and said" Pardon me for interupting but are you alright? you look rather lonely". Selena could see that something was wrong as she saw the redness in the girls eyes, still Selena was taught and raised into a person who cared for life itself. And right now it seemed that this girl needed someone to talk to and Selena wondered if she'll be able to help this stranger.

Casalynn flicked her hair out from her face and looked up at the person who was standing in front of her. She could tell that the girl was not trying to intrude, more like give a helping hand to a stranger. Normally Casalynn would not let anyone get that close, but this girl looked genuinly concerned. She felt slightly touched that she felt the need to ask how she was and it was more than anyone had done for her in the past. She smiled warmly at the girl and tried to recognise where she had seen her before. She looked strangely familiar although could not quite place where she knew her from.
Casalynn's eyes dropped to the basket of fruit that the girl was carrying when she suddenly remembered. She had seen her before walking around Camelot fulfilling her daily duties meaning she must be a Servant in the castle. Cass could see the girl had a kind heart so decided to be polite and respond. She removed her cloak from under her feet to allow the girl to take a seat next to her. It was true she was feeling lonely although it wasn't like she didn't recieve company.
"Pardon me for interupting but are you alright? you look rather lonely".
"No, your not interupting. And yeah, I'm fine. Had a rough night is all" She said with a small smile indicating for her to take a seat if she liked. "You can join me if you want? That's if your not too busy" Casalynn notioned to the basket she was carrying and would all but understand if she had to carry on with her duties.
Casalynn realized how much of a state she must look. It was swealtering hot yet she was wearing a full, heavy cloak. Her eyes looked slightly inflammed and her eyes had seen much better days. It was just to say she wasn't exactly looking her best yet she strangely didn't seem to mind. After the night she had had it seemed fairly impossible to be tired and still look good. "My name's Casalynn by the way." She said introducing herself and waiting patiently for a reply.

Selena's gentle heart slowly began to beat. Like her father she too wanted to help someone who either simply needed a friendly ear to helping someone who was in danger, but in Selena's case it was just listening to heart of another good soul. With a tiny smile Selena gently said" Thank you very much I'd love to join you. And don't worry I'm not that busy anyway". She said with a gentle nod to Casalynn, the basket of fruit had to wait as the stranger needed a friendly person to talk too and Selena felt that it was important then just a basket of fruit. As she watched Casalynn make room for her Selena gently placed the basket of fruit close them and gently she sat down next to Casalynn.
From there she gently removed her long and heavy cloak. Then she took gently placed it over her legs like a blanket and sighed happily, she took in the gentle but hot gaze of the sun. With a friendly introduction from the young girl Selena happily smiled towards Casalynn and said" My name is Selena its lovely to meet you Casalynn". She said speaking from her heart, not once did her eyes meet the length of Casalynn's cloak. She knew that it was strange for a young girl to wear a heavy cloak in a blazing hot sun but Selena being her fathers daughter never once wanted to mention that.
With a sigh she said" But Casalynn are you sure your ok? you can always talk to me. I might be a stranger but my heart and soul is a gentle as a flower ". Selena said from her heart.

Casalynn's eyes followed Selena as she removed her cloak and placed it by her legs like a blanket. Casalynn contemplated doing the same thing as it was a hot day and she would have to remove her cloak sooner or later. She felt more conscious now that she was in company although was glad for the interaction that Selena would give her. Plus she could tell that she was genuine and caring and wanted to help her out. Casalynn knew she must look somewhat 'pained' but didn't quite want to feel like a charity case that demanded time and attention from willing ears.
She knew Selena was probably someone that could be trusted although couldn't quite muster up the courage to say what was on her mind. This was information she would never give up as trust was not one of her strong points and she had problems with that ever since she could remember. Plus, if anyone ever found out what her Guardian was like she feared for the consequences that he would face. She couldn't ever wish bad things on anyone and certainly not the man who took her in when no one else would.
"But Casalynn are you sure your ok? you can always talk to me. I might be a stranger but my heart and soul is a gentle as a flower " Casalynn listened to the heart-felt expression from Selena and knew she was being honest. Casalynn was not prepared to let go of her secrets just yet, although didn't mind sharing some of the burden that her thoughts bared her.
"I'm okay. It's just sometimes I feel as though my life is slightly monotonous. I get bored with not much to do with my time. Since I've arrived in Camelot all I've seemed to do is moan" She said jokingly, feeling slightly wierd expressing her thoughts and feelings to someone she didn't know all that well.

Selena fell silent as she listened to Casalynn's words. In some ways she understood what her friend was saying, her life had also been abit down under. With her fathers murder, her mother sacraficing her own health and well being to unsure Selena's own survival, at first her eyes drifted back to the past. A single tear even appeared from her left eye and dropped down to the ground, gasping she wiped away with her finger and said" I'm sorry...but I understand what your feeling. My life hasn't been that great myself".
She said with a sigh and gave a slight smile. She nodded sadly but Selena sighed and said" It turned out that my father was killed. And my mother died to ensure that I survived". She said from her heart, but her soul refused to surrender, Selena shook her head and looked determined. Turning back she happily said to Casalynn" But don't worry Casalynn I sure things will get better for you. I can already tell that your a strong woman and your heart is always in the right place". Selena mean't every word.
With a happy smile she said" You know this is way big for my size". She said pointing towards her long and heavy cloak that covered her legs easily, Selena wanted to change the subject into a more happy conversation.

Casalynn felt sorry for Selena as it seemed she had had to endure quite a lot through her life time. Her father and mother had died which must have been hard for any person to bare. As well as sorrow for Selena she felt slightly envious that she had known her parents, as Casalynn had no past memories or pictures in mind of what her parents had even looked like. It pained her slightly in not knowing and at least Selena had grown up and experienced what it was like to belong to a family. But being the optimist she was Casalynn tried not to think about the downsides in her life. At least she had a roof over her head and food in her stomach so things weren't all that bad.
"But don't worry Casalynn I sure things will get better for you. I can already tell that your a strong woman and your heart is always in the right place" A small smile appeared on Casalynn's face upon hearing Selena's words. She could tell Selena knew how to cheer a person up and she immiediatly felt in a more rosier mood. Casalynn could feel herself warming up to Selena and could feel the reminents of a strong friendship brewing.
She also admired Selena's courage and trust in confiding her more personal issues and was something Casalynn would find very difficult to do. It made her feel more at ease and she got the impression that Selena wouldn't tell anyone even if Casalynn did tell her about her life.
"You know this is way big for my size". Cass couldn't help but laugh at the size of Selena's cloak and she was beginning to rather enjoy herself. "Best to have one that's too big than one that's too small. Plus it may come in handy as a rather large blanket" She said laughing. "Fancy taking a walk with me? I don't mind if you say no, you probably have quite a busy schedule" She said giving Selena a way out if she had to return to her duties.

Selena couldn't help but laugh happily with her friend Casalynn. But she agreed with her completly, it felt like it was years since she laughed so much. It was such a happy feeling, yet warm and cosy for her heart and soul with a sigh she calmed herself down and happily looked around at the people before them. In a reply about her large heavy cloak the young Selena said" I must admit thats completly true but it belonged to the father. I wear it not only honor his memory. But to help me remember his warmth and love for me". She sighed in relief but in complete happiness.
As Casalynn asked if she wanted to take a walk with her Selena said" I'd love to Casalynn I've always got time for my friends. But your my first friend". She said in total honesty, with that said Selena gently took hold of her large heavy cloak and pulled it away from her legs. There she placed it gently folded over her left arm and then gently took hold of the basket of fruit and looked over towards Casalynn who looked ready to join her on a nice walk.

Casalynn was delighted that Selena accepted her offer to go on a walk with her. Such a nice day was shining on the two of them, it seemed wrong not to enjoy it whilst it lasted. This was one of the only days she had been free to enjoy the lovely sunshine, as apposed to the dismal weather she was used to being let out into. Her day had only got better now that she had someone to share it with and the company as well was something she was more than grateful for. Cass wondered what it must be like working in the Castle of Camelot and what sort of duties Selena would have to carry out. She assumed that she must be a maid or maybe even a member of the cooking staff evident from the fruit she was holding, although she wasn't too sure. Casalynn was eager to know a bit more about Selena as she seemed like a very interesting person.
Casalynn elegantly arose from her sitting position and removed her cloak from under her feet so she wouldn't trip over it. She turned her head in different directions to figure out the best course to follow and which path to join. She led Selena in a notherly direction, not quite sure as to where they were actually going yet the weather in that direction looked the nicest. Casalynn could see a rather large, dark grey raincloud gaining on the bright sunshine and hoped the rain wouldn't interupt their stroll. But at least she had her cloak if the rain did decide to descend upon them.
"I'd love to Casalynn I've always got time for my friends. But your my first friend"
Casalynn felt honesty in her words and smiled. Selena was one of her first friends too as she had not been granted that much time out to meet new people. Since arriving at Camelot a few months ago, the only people she had met happened to be Prince Arthur himself, Dreamer the musician at the Ram and most recently Selena. "Friends are something I don't have too much of either, I'm sure you'll make more new friends" She said confidently. Being as nice as Selena was she found it impossible that she couldn't. "Anyway, Selena. Tell me about your job? Sounds interesting" She asked happily whilst continuing to work ahead.

The purehearted chamber maid gently followed Casalynn. She enjoyed the feeling of the sun on her skin and most importantly in the company of a dear friend. However she knew that there would be plenty of work to after she got back, but again this was the life she choose. Still as she admired the scenery she soon sighed again after seeing the dark clouds beginning to creep up upon the sure beauty of the sun and sky. Trying to blanket the very heavens and its deep darkness, as she followed Casalynn she replied" The same goes for you too Casalynn. I hope we both find good friends". She said with a gentle smile, still she valued her friendship with Casalynn with all her heart.
But as she asked about her job as a chamber maid in the castle, she just smiled. She couldn't help it, the job was filled with work here and there but Selena was actually enjoying it. Because deep down she knew that her mother and father was looking down at their daughter and both were proud at what there daughter had become, feeling a little excited she said" My job? its filled with hard working jobs, from bringing food and water to the nobles bed rooms to changing bed sheets and washing clothes".
But her smile grew bigger and said" Its alot of hard work but to be honest I'm enjoying it". She said with a shrug of her shoulders, but her pure heart once again turned its attention to Casalynn and said" What about you Casalynn what would you like to do?". She asked wondering what the teen wanted to do for a job or goal in her life.

Casalynn was glad to hear from Selena that she enjoyed her work. She had not always thought that being a maid was a most desirable job, yet she could see why Selena liked it. You got to meet lots of people; mainly nobles, carry out plenty of jobs every day so it wasn't exactly monotonous job and not exactly boring. She had always thought of servants being miserable as all the ones she had met had had bad experiences of being one. Being ordered about, treated like scum and seen as the 'lesser' person simply because of their class. She had always liked talking to servants because some of her only remaning friends happened to have this job. She knew that they were always pure of heart kind, and have extraordinary endurance levels to withstand being ordered about all day.
"What about you Casalynn what would you like to do?". Casalynn's face skewered slightly in contemplation. She had never thought about what she wanted to do before and the prospect was quite exciting. Cass had always loved animals so wouldn't have minded a job as stable-hand or looking after the castle guard dogs. In fact, she would pretty much be up for anything as a job would offer her freedom and a certain amount of responsibilty that she had never had before. The lists of jobs were endless, but somehow she couldn't see herself getting one.
"Me? Hmm" She thought to herself silently before responding back to Selena. "I'm not sure, there are so many jobs out there, I don't know what I'd choose. I suppose I'll know once the time is right" she said with a smile still raiding her brain for an answer. After giving up on the search she turned back to Selena and glanced down at the basket of fruit she was carrying. Cass knew that Selena would have to return to her duties sooner or later and as much as Casalynn would of liked, Selena had to depart eventually. Cass turned onto a path that led around the Castle, meaning they would soon circle around to the place where they had started.
"You won't get in trouble will you? For taking a small break?" Cass asked concerned that she may get Selena into trouble, which was one thing she certainly didn't want to do.

OOC: I am so sorry Casalynn! IC: Selena enjoyed her company with Casalynn it was like meeting a long lost sister. She had a great heart and was very friendly yet meeting her somehow placed made her feel more calm and more confident about herself, after her father and mothers death she hadn't really met any friends. But now Merlin and Casalynn welcomed her with open arms and that was all that mattered to Selena, slowly she breathed in the calm but cool fresh air and admired the scenery around her. As they came up back outside the castle Selena just smiled to Casalynn and replied" I am sure theres something out there for you". She said happily and looked back at the castle. Looking down at the bowl of fruit and the folds of her long hooded cloak Selena simply shook her head and gently replied" Its alright Casalynn I will most likely get into trouble for being away buts its ok. This is the life I have choosen to have". She said doing her best to assure then everything was going to be alright, but she was abit excited to find out what her next task was going to be.

[[OOC: Haha, It's okay ]] Casalynn felt a small hint of guilt when Selena said she will most probably get into trouble for taking a short time off. She didn't want her to get a telling off because of her, after all it was herself that asked Selena to go on a walk with her. And it would be her fault of Selena got any punishment. Selena's 'superiors' were probably wondering where she got off too as surely retrieving a basket of fruit wouldn't take this long. She smiled as Selena said it would be okay, and it made Cass feel slightly better seeing that Selena didn't mind too much. It was the life she had chosen and if she wanted to take a small break then that was what she deserved. Casalynn walked over to the place where they had first started, and looked up at Camelot Castle. She resumed her seat under the tree, providing her shelter from the still overwhelmingly hot sun. Unlike before, the sun was not shining as brightly, as dark clouds of gloom were covering the bright atmosphere; but Casalynn didn't mind. She had the rest of the day to enjoy, whether the sun was shining or not. She had had a good time up until now, but knew Selena would have to return to her duties eventually. "I suppose you better be getting back. They'll be wondering where you've got off too. If you return now, they may not notice you've gone" Casalynn said with a smile, looking out for Selena's best interests. "I hope you don't get into too much trouble. I'm sure I'll see you around, maybe we should go on a ride sometime?" She said giving Selena the opportunity to go riding with her. Casalynn was sure Selena's job would allow her sometime to herself or a day off at least. Plus it would give them more time to get to know each other without the added pressure of a telling off. "It doesn't matter if you can't" She added quickly.
