Name: Nimiane Aragon
Age: Nineteen
Sex: Female
Class: Druid
Appearance:
Eyes: Nimiane’s eye colour is a striking sky-blue, providing a window into her soul that her tough exterior won't allow. Normally when she's lying her eyes will most often give her away so more often than not she prefers not to hold people's gaze. Her eyes tend to portray her fear, anxiety or suspicions so when talking to someone unfamiliar she tends to drop her gaze to avoid giving herself away. She was once told that her eyes resembled the 'bluish-steel of a midwinter sky' and she also inherited her eye colour from her father as her Mother had brown eyes.
Hair: Her hair colour is a natural shade of brunette being slightly wavy in appearance. She prefers to wear her hair up as in this way it doesn’t irritate her or dangle in her face when she’s trying to do things. Her hair is middle length, reaching just below her shoulders and the length often gets on her nerves. She likes to decorate her hair with headbands and various other jewel-encrusted accessories as she believes looking her best at all times is important.
Weight and Height: Nimiane is on the skinny side resting only at about 90lbs. She likes to care of her weight and tries to stay at the height of her physical peak in order to use her magic in the best way that she can. She takes regular walks around the forest and likes to go horse-riding in order to keep fit. Her height at the moment stays consistent at 5 foot 6.
Clothing: Clothing is important for Nimiane; she likes to take pride in her appearance. The type of clothing that she wears depends heavily on her setting. If she is just residing in the druid camp she tends to wear something more casual accompanied with one of her favourite silk green cloaks. Yet outside of her comfort zone and when walking around in Camelot she likes to look more upper-class. She wears the finest dresses made from top quality materials and sometimes wears her cloak with it depending on whether she is riding or not. She is also never seen without her large, golden pendant that dangles loosely from her neck (Shown in the above picture)
Celebrity Claim: Charlotte Salt
Character: Nimiane is an ambitious and feisty young woman who at the same time embodies many aspects of the typical girl next door archetype. She's a compelling person and is seen as having moral ambiguity. She's incredibly compassionate and empathic and many people are drawn to her kind and caring nature that she displays. Nimiane has an incredibly big heart and is prepared to give everyone a hearing and a second chance. She believes in 'playing fair' but on no level does she believe following by the rules is the correct way to live and sometimes such a way of life has got her into trouble in the past.
She describes herself as ‘at one with animals’ and finds that she has a common ground with them. Much of her kind and caring nature comes from her never-ending patience and willingness, never giving up on a situation if she sees the faintest hint of hope in it. She’s also an incredibly loyal girl having her allegiances lying with the Druids and would do everything in her power to protect them and make sure they stay safe and that they stay hidden. She regards every member of the Druid Camp as a member of her family so she feels bound to defend and guard them to the best of her ability. If anyone she loves or connects with is in danger, she would do everything in her power to make sure they were okay so she’s also incredibly selfless as well.
Because of her strong sense of loyalty and connection with her ‘family’, she often finds herself being the hit man for the group. Because of the nature of her ability, she can transform and slip into Camelot or neighbouring town’s unseen or unsuspecting, eradicating or killing any person who threatens the existence of her family. If it was up to her, she would prefer not to do this but simply has the interests of her friends and family at heart. By no means is she a ruthless, murdering killer more of a misunderstood character who strongly believes she has an incentive and reason to do it.
Nimiane is a fairly defensive character, choosing to keep all of her emotions and thoughts locked up inside of her. She’d like to think that she was trusting but she’s reluctant to tell people what’s on her mind and what happens to be worrying her. But normally the environment around Nimiane is so relaxed, loving and caring she trusts every one of her camp mates so to the people she knows she’s fairly open. Because of the strong bonds and relationships, she often follows their orders without question even if it isn’t the best advice for her to take note off.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths: Her Strengths include:
- Her compassion and empathy for animals
- How strongly she views her family
- The control she has over her ability
- Her quick-thinking, fast-acting mind
- The ability to get herself out of dangerous or difficult situations
- No matter what life throws at her, her optimistic way of life normally pulls her through.
Weaknesses: Her weaknesses include:
- Sometimes she doesn’t stick up for herself and finds that she’s the general dogs body
- She doesn’t much like being the hit man but she has a reluctance to speak out
- The love for her family can often cloud her judgement
- Her poor tolerance for pain
- How easily she’s talked into some things
Magic: Nimiane has a vast range of abilities as far as her magic goes. She has the power to control animals as well as communicate with them, also being able to absorb and master the traits that the animals hold. She is also able to transform into them even if it is a painful process. In depth description of each form of this ability that she has:
Animal Mimicry is the ability to imitate the powers and traits of animals. The user usually needs only come into contact with an animal or insect once, and they can access that animal's powers (based on their empathic connection with the animal itself). The powers that Nimiane has includes the speed of a cheetah, the sonar abilities of a bat, the venom of a snake, the electricity of an electric eel, the swimming ability of a fish (Also if she was put underwater she would form gills meaning she could breath underwater), heightened reflexes of a fly, strength of a mountain lion, constriction of an anaconda, she's able to wall-crawl taken from a spider, the durability of a cockroach (meaning she's immune to radiation), nocturnal vision of a cat and the senses of a wolf.
Animal morphing pretty much explains itself. She has the ability to transform into animals and only the ones that she has previously morphed into does she form the animal mimicry side to her power. Such as if she's morphed into a snake before, she gains their abilities even when she's in human form. Because she hasn't transformed into an elephant before, she wouldn't gain its strength etc... But the transaction between human to animal is very painful. She can change into any species at any given time; she only has to think about the animal to change. When transformed she gains all the abilities that the animal has, such as if she was to transform into a Cheetah she would gain the ability to run at 60 miles an hour. Bones in her body must break in order to change and resemble that of an animal. They must shrink or resize and her whole bone structure has to change. Body temperature changes, organs and muscles also change and are reshaped to form the animal.
When she transforms back into human, she doesn't change with her clothes on her, she is fully naked. So when she turns into an animal her clothes are not changed too. There is no limit to how long she can transform, but she follows the lifespan of that animal. So if she was to change into a butterfly she would live for only a few days/weeks. So she would have to transform before that in order to avoid dying. Also when her animal form ages so does her human form. If she was 22 when she transformed into a dog and was a dog for 2 years, her human form would then be 24, so she still ages. Also if she was to sustain a cut to her leg in animal form, that cut would then stay on to her human form and vice versa. If Nimiane was weak, ill or unconscious then she would not be able to change. In order to transform her energy levels need to be high in order for her to concentrate and be able to endure the amount of pain that she goes through. Also sometimes she only half transforms. If she is suddenly interrupted or looses concentration then she remains half animal and half human, and depending on what has been changed and what hasn't then this can be fatal and can possibly kill her. Along with a painful transformation, depending on the size of the animal she's transforming into, it can take a lengthy amount of time. Average it takes about 5-10 minutes of excruciating pain before she changes completely. So no good for quick getaways.
Zoopathy is another ability that she has. Zoopathy is the ability to communicate with animals and even command them to pursue whatever the commander wants. Her body remembers how to communicate with them and is passed on to her human form. Nimiane sends telepathic messages to the animals in which they understand. But the animal does not understand human language, instead what she is saying is empathically translated into mental signs that the animal can understand. She also has limited control over the animals and can command them to do what she wants. She can tell if they’re hungry or if they’re thirsty, can read what they’re thinking and can control their behaviour and breeding patterns. But this form of telepathy is only limited to animals. There are many types of Zoopathy that Nimiane has:
.
• Avian Omnilingualism also called Avian Communication/Domination or Ornithopathy is the superhuman ability to communicate with, and eventually command birds, from small sparrows and pigeons to ostriches and birds of prey. This is limited to birds.
• Canine Omnilingualism also called Canine Communication/Domination is the superhuman ability to communicate with, and eventually command animals of the canine species, from house dogs like Rottweiler’s and Great Danes to wild canines like wolves and foxes. This is limited to canines.
• Feline Omnilingualism also called Feline Communication/Domination is the superhuman ability to communicate with, and eventually command animals of the feline species, from house cats to feral cats and big cats like lions, panthers, jaguars and cheetahs. This is limited to felines.
• Ichthyic Omnilingualism also called Ichthyic Communication/Domination or Ichthyopathy is the superhuman ability to communicate with, and eventually command marine species, from small fish, to otters, dolphins, whales, etc. This is limited to marine species.
• Reptilian Omnilingualism also called Reptilian Communication/Domination, Herpetopathy or Fissilingualism is the superhuman ability to communicate with, and eventually command animals of the reptilian order, from lizards to turtles, snakes and alligators. This is limited to reptiles.
• Vermin Omnilingualism also called Vermin Communication/Domination is the superhuman ability to communicate with, and eventually command vermin, from fleas, lice, flies and roaches, to bats, rats, mice and raccoons and small rodents (even possums or dogs, if they have fleas/ticks/lice). This is limited to creepy crawlies. .
Weaponry Skills: None at all. Given a sword or a bow and arrow and she wouldn’t have the faintest idea of how to use it.
Character History: Nimiane was born to a Mary and Gheraine Aragon who brought her up until she was 6 years old. She doesn't remember much of her early life as it remains to be a little hazy. She has minimal memories of her parents and can only recall a few snippets of her time with them but can recite the day of their death from the top of her mind. As she has been a member of the druids all of her life back when Uther had outlawed Magic Druids were well sought after and 3 weeks after her 6th birthday their camp was raided by Prince Uther's men.
The carnage and death toll of this raid was high, wiping out at least half of the population of the druids. Amongst those who were pronounced dead was her mother, father and her baby brother who had all died in order to protect her. Nimiane escaped, changing into her dire wolf form and making a hasty exit from the scene. The soldiers failed to notice her escape and she just stood helplessly on concealed by the tree's. She watched as her mother was burnt to death, she watched as her father was stabbed several times in the stomach and once in his head and watched on as her brother was taken back to Camelot probably to be made an example of.
After this terrible event, she struggled to come to terms with the things she had seen and the loss of her whole family. But the caring and supportive atmosphere soon brought her out of her shell and began to return her to her normal self but then she had heard of the struggles the druids were yet to face. Ordinary men and women, peasants and lows set out to find members of the druid camp in order to take them back to Camelot as bounty. Because magic was still outlawed and their was a hefty price on their heads, citizens and nobles were keen to take the money this would bring back to their families. Shortly after the camp had been moved and relocated to another part of the forest it was stormed again but this time not by soldiers.
The children and babies were the first to get caught as they were slow and oblivious to what was going on. Her along with 3 other elders were captured too, stuffed into a tight-nick cage ready to be delivered back to the king. Fed up of the sound of crying, wailing children and the hopelessness of the situation, Nimiane knew she had to do something to help. The horses leading the cart stopped upon her command as she began feeding instructions that they were to mis-behave and stand their ground. They did so, stopping on the tracks on the kingsway. As the men got out to see what was going on, Nimiane managed to bring the hinges of the flimsy door using her strength. Before the door had time to alert the men she managed to catch the door before it hit the ground and from then on it didn't take long to get the condemned souls out of the cage and back to the camp.
She didn't escape though. One of the men came to check the captured and saw that most but a few had already escaped. As she had elected to stay behind and make sure everyone got out, she put herself in a dangerous situation. She was taken back to Camelot and given the sentence of high treason against the king as well as aiding in the escape of 23 magical individuals and being proven of using magic herself. She was to be drowned until death the following day. She was taken to a nearby lake stationed near the Castle of Camelot and was drowned but she didn't die.
Straped to a plank of wood and bound by rope, she was cast out into the lake and held under water for 10 minutes. Unknown by Prince Uther though, she sprouted gills fueled by her magic and was able to breath with ease. She escaped from the ropes and hauled herself out of the lake making it back to Camelot almost unscatched. Her hate for King Uther though still remains to be strong as she holds him solely responsible for the death of her parents and the death of so many of her friends and other members of her family.
Additional Information: I just thought I’d try and make Nimiane a little bit different in the magic department, but if the type of magic that she has isn’t okay then I can change it. I gave her lots of limits though so she isn’t too powerful by any standard. She also mainly takes the form of a Dire Wolf and can be seen in this form more than she is seen being human.
A description of the dire wolf: This is a mythical creature, a Dire wolf is a large wolf, which are usually portrayed as been much more vicious than a normal wolf and also more intelligent. Dire Wolves are usually black though dark greys are popular as well. There is a second description of a dire wolf that says that a dire wolf is a giant wolf that has been brought back from beyond the grave to hunt down. Dire wolves tend to hunt in packs like there wolf relatives; a dire wolf can often be found leading packs of normal wolves but Nimiane prefers to be alone.
Also if you ever need someone to RP a mythical creature or some sort of beast roaming about in the forest, Nimiane's your girl

Sample Roleplay:
Evelynn had had a strangely quite day. She had no appointements or patients to deal with so there wasn't much she could do. Whenever she found she had spare time on her hands, it often stumped her as to what to fill her time with. Her job had always been demanding but she preffered it that way. Best to spend your time doing something useful than waste it doing something that wasn't necessary or at least that's how she saw it. She had the skills and abilities to make people better and even if one life was saved than it made her feel like her life was worthwhile. Her job always brought a smile to her face and especially recieving a heart-felt thank you from an appreciated patient made the long nights and stress deffiantly worth it.
Evelynn sat awkwardly, cleaning glass bottles and apparatus before placing them gently on her old, worn workbench. A small sigh escaped her mouth as she looked out of her window towards the sky. The day wasn't exactly a nice one, so she could hardly burn her time taking a brisk walk or spend a day riding. The rain hammered against her window and slowly trickled down into the deep puddles that formed underneath them. She desperatly hoped her day would lighten up as, to say the least, she was bored.
Evelynn took a side-glance to the dirty leech tank that stood proudly in the corner of her room. She wrinkled her nose at the mere thought of having to clean it out and slowly made her way to her cleaning tools. She was taken by surprise when she heard the sound of an abrupt knocking at her door. No immediate answer came to her mind at the reason why someone would venture out into the rain to see her. Unless someone needed her help which was most likely the case.
She propped her mop and bucket up against the wall before walking over to the door and gently pulling it open.
"May I help you?" She spoke softly although loudly to overcome the monstrous sound of the rain. Her eyes were immediatly drawn to the lifeless body of a peasant held in the arms of another man who was obviosly sick too. Evelynn immiedatly wondered if she was dead although she struggled to find a reason why they would be here if she was.
"Please, help. My wife just collapsed. She was in the garden watering the crops when she developed this rash on her neck. Then she just dropped to the floor. I tried to help her but I got the rash too. Please... help us, no one else will" Evelynn heard the painful, pitiful sound of a dying man who was desperatly worried about losing his wife; she could hardly turn them away. Evelynn knew she ran the risk of picking up whatever disease they had yet her conscience was too strong to ignore. They were just human beings looking for a helping hand, a sorry sight that would probably stay with her for the rest of her life.
Now, she was faced with the choice to either help them or turn them away. Forcing them to endure, what would be, certain death. She dropped her head slightly in submission and opened the door further to allow them entry.
"Quick, place her on the table" Evelynn led them to her work bench and cleared all of he tools so that the women could be treated. The man struggled to walk and carry the weight of his wife but nevertheless placed her carefully onto the surface. Evelynn noticed the man was looking slightly purple and it didn't take long for his legs to buckle under his weight and he fell to the floor with a loud 'crunch'. The unmistakable sound of broken bones.
Evelynn was at a loss. Even though she was a very good physician, she lacked experience. She had never seen these symptoms before and had no idea what sort of an illness she was dealing with. She quickly ran her eyes up and down the women identifying any signs of the disease. The women was looking slightly purple like her husband and it seemed the rash she had was creeping slightly up her face. Her ankles were also swollen and her stomach was largely inflammed. The same symptoms were also chared by her husband.
Evelynn collected some bottles on the counter behind her and shook them until the chemicals within them were mixed. She placed them next to the 'patients' for later use. Before she could treat them she had to know what they were suffering from. When she remembered. The women had been watering her plants before she developed the illness meaning either the plants or the water had resulted in these rashes. She rolled the womens sleeves back to reveal several bite marks on her arms and deep, bloody wounds that leaked a discoloured goo. She had been infected by small parasites that were contained in the water.
Evelynn produced a large smile and glided over to a cabinet which held the collection of a variety of medicines and bottles. She carefully picked two and made her way over to the husband and wife. She gently tipped the first bottle into the womens mouth and the second into the husbands and watched for the effects to take place. The bottles contained extracts from wild flowers picked from the high mountains. They were renowned for flushing out the system which were bound to get rid of anything that had burrowed into their stomachs.
She watched with eager eyes as they both came round from unconsciousness. The purple from their faces were disappearing yet it would take considerably longer for the other symptoms to disappear. Luckily the illness they were suffering from was not contagious and had only been passed onto the husband as he was most likely to have drank the water, the wife had only been in contact with it yet had still developed the illness. The family both steadily got to their feet feeling the weight of the disease lift of their shoulders.
"You'll need to take medication for the next few days to eliviate some of the symptoms and stop infections. But I strongly advise you to stay away from wherever you got that water from." She said with a smile, giving them both a basket full of bottles containing a sticky clear liquid. She dressed the womens wounds and tended to the broken bones that the man had suffered under impact of falling to the ground. Evelynn then helped the women off her work bench and followed them as they made their way to the door.
"We can't thank you enough. You saved me and my wives lives and for that we owe you" The sound of their gratitude filled her with satisfaction and was only glad to be of service.
"No problem, should you need anything else then I'll always be here" She said happily, closing the door after them and watching them walk away. Another satisfied patient, another life saved, yet it was all in a days work in the life of a physician.
