Basically I have added a new self refreshing chat box right where the old one was  I have also added a link under THAT chat box, to a new one that opens in its own window and that you log in to. Let me know which one you prefer!! |

I voted old one because its nicer to have it on the main page, but it couldn't hurt to keep the other one? Might be better for longer convos if people want to sort out plots etc?

I voted for the new box to be perverse.  No really, I like Merlins' idea. If possible, keep both around. The side panel/small one to say a quick "hello!" and the other window one to talk more in depth. |

I agree actually, would be useful if you wanted to have a proper conversation opposed to a quick hello.
Plus i *think* it can be set up to have private one on one chats too (useful for planning plots you dont want everyone to know about-and much easier than pms!)

I prefer the Chat room though since it allows members only to chat among themselves and no one but members can actually read what they are talking about but it is always useful if someone is in a hurry to have a sixe c-box just in case |
