I'm not sure how this is supposed work (getting a job in Pendragon) but I figured it would be cool to use it as an excuse to RP with the rest of the board. Bumping into strangers and having an indepth convo works, but its great to have a reason to "get to know you."
So basically Richard is an ex-man at arms and more recently, a mercenary. His lady (Grace) and he will need to settle into Camelot, ergo Richard needs to get a job. He wants to avoid potentially conflicting loyalties and so he will not join the army. He can however, act as a guard for stores and such around Camelot. Anyone interested in giving young Richard a job?

Hey Richard, we have a thread with canon jobs and positions here but all of the fitting positions for you, such as dungeon master or palace guard etc. all require allegiance to the king and a position in the army. So it's a really good idea to get a job as bodyguard for a shop or pub. We sadly don't have any characters that play merchant citizens, so I don't think anyone will be able to reply to your request. I have a few ideas though: Dreamer's idea to bounce for the Ram inn is a good one, it is the more respectable bar in town (the other- the Black Bear- is owned by the Brotherhood and is very rough) and so it would need someone to keep any brawls or fighting under control straight away. Or I would be happy to create a shop thread, the kind of shop you can choose, and set it up in the town for you. Although you'd have to RP your boss and the other people that work there as NPCs... Or the other idea I had was guard for the royal stables? It's not on the list, but someone's going to need to stop the royal horses being stolen, and that job wouldn't require any royal allegiance.

Thanks for replying Merlin. I'll probably go with the Ram idea -- may as well flesh out what already exists rather than create more.
