Name:
Born Katlyn (pronounced Kate-lin) Blake, however she often adds the middle name Isabel when in Camelot, in order to convince people she is a noble.
Age:
Katlyn has recently turned 17 although is very spoilt by her father and thus often acts much younger.
Sex:
Female
Class:
Peasant (daughter to a farmer)
Appearance:
Growing up and working in the fields has meant Katlyn has had little chance of glamour throughout her life. Her hair has always been scraped back out of the way and the only colour you would find upon her face would be the natural rouge caused by flushed cheeks.
Her arms are strong and she can do almost as much work as the boys her age.
The outfits she wears are usually dark colours such as green or brown, and are not particuarly feminine, consisting of slacks, shirt and tunic, or on occasion a long skirt if the day is not going to be particuarly demanding. Her sleeves are nearly always rolled up and dirty hand prints constantly mark the thighs of her slacks.
Although Katlyn usually fits the above description, she has recently bought a much finer dress made of a beautiful deep blue silk. It took two months wages, and she had little to spend of food for a while but in her opinion it was worth it.
When she visits the main city, she wears this dress, paints her cheeks and eyes with some of the makeup the nobles use, and pretends she is a one of them for a while. While she is in this guise, her eyes shine wildly and her hair is combed and glossy-she fools people easily.
Character:
Despite her tricking people into thinking she is a noble in Camelot, back home she is as honest as the day is long. She wouldn't lie to anyone maliciously and she works hard for her father in the fields on their farm, doing as much work as the men do. She rarely gets free time, but when she does she both loves and appreciates it but wishes she had more.
Her smile is warming and her bright and bubbly personality always cheers people up. In hard times when the weather was cold and the crops were being harvested it was always Katlyn who raised their spirits with a song or stories. However, if she wants something from her father or anyone else, and she cannot have it she will not take it lightly.
She is not well educated, for her village did not have a school and her father needed her on the farm but she can read and write well enough and can do some simple sums.
She knows much about courtly goings on for the noble life has always fascinated her-perhaps why she now keeps up the pretense.
Despite all of this Katlyn has a terrible illness that will one day kill her. She is fully aware of this fact, but tries to live her life as though every day was the last one she had. Some days you would not even know she had so much as a cold and she is able to work hard like everyone else, but out of the blue she will suffer a seizure which will leave her bed ridden for a few days. Afterwards she will return to full strength until the next time.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
+She is polite, well mannered and knows how to behave in whatever company she is keeping at the time
+She is bright and bubbly and therefore excellent at keeping peoples spirits up
+She is fairly pretty but does not "know it" and therefore is very humble
+She is hardworking and strong
-She is extremely spolit by her father and when she does not get her own way will throw a tantrum fit for a king.
-She is not the brightest spark and is a bit of an 'airhead' meaning many take advantage of her naive personality and innocence
-She is of poor origins but is lying and tricking the resident of Camelot.
-She suffered from awful seizures
Magic:
She has not discovered any yet, but may do so in the future.
Weaponry Skills:
She has never learnt to handle a weapon, although after many summers in the fields she could probably do a fair bit of damage with a hoe or rake.
Character History:
Katlyn was born to Raia and John Blake, a poor couple in a tiny village far from Camelot. They struggled to feed and clothe their tiny baby until she was 2 years old when Johns father -a farmer in Avalon- passed away leaving his farm to his only son.
John and Raia travelled for days across the country in order to get to Avalon and Katlyn's health suffered greatly during the time. It is unknown if this was the cause of her illness but her parents have always blamed themselves.
When they reached Avalon, the tiny farm was in a terrible way. Katlyn's grandpa had not been able to manage the farm for a long time, and the crops were long dead and the place was completely overgrown. John and Raia worked hard in order to get the farm into shape, and during that time they suffered greatly with money. After putting Katlyn and John before herself for many months Raia eventually passed away leaving a 3 year old Katlynn without her mummy- whom she does not remember now.
John worked even harder to get the farm running and soon he acheived his goal. He had put everything into that farm and Katlyn used to love running around playing with the horses and dogs they kept.
She was taught to ride by one of the farm hands and soon took to riding the work horses, which her father never approved of! She saw them as people rather than tools and her father could never quite understand it himself.
Although she continued to work hard on the farm, shortly before her 17th birthday, Katlyn began to become interested in finer clothes and jewellery. Unbeknown to her father she snuck off into Camelot market one day and bought a beautiful dress and some makeup, which she used to disguise herself as "Lady Katlyn Blake". She wishes that it were more than a pretense for she loves the people and lifestyle of the nobles, although with herillness she may be found out sooner rather than later.

Elirae dismounted, and sat down beside her steed. The muscles in her calves ached terribly, although she was almost always exercising her mind, her body did not receive quite as much attention. She rubbed her painful limbs and sighed. She was getting tired of riding now, and wished she had requested a carriage instead.
Elirae's destination was actually Lithonion, she had followed a path which she merely guessed would lead her there and now she had reached a wood. She was not too worried about where she ended up though, she was confident in her ability to read the land and get her and her equine companion home. The actuality was, that Eli had simply once read a book about tracking courses using the land, and in all honesty, she probably couldnt have done it.
Lucky, it then turned out to be, that Elirae soon stumbled across a man at the edge of the forest. After removing her boots, which were blistering her feet something terrible, and choosing to walk for a while, Elirae came across a small stream. She decided to follow it, calculating that it most likely flowed into the city, and eventually, not long before nightfall, she came across the river Thiel, which was where she encountered the stranger.
She first emerged through the forest, behind the man who seemed to be engaged in some sort of fighting ritual? She retraced her steps a little though, tethered her pony to a tree, and sat on a tuffet of grass beside- in order to refrain from disturbing him. She was mesmerized for a while, watching him twist and turn- using his pole as though he had real enemies there. His cries and fierce expression led Eli to believe he was angry, in fact the emotion was barely hidden at all.
By the time he had finished it was almost dark, and Eli suddenly realised thatshe probably still hada way to go before Lithonion. Worried now about what she would do, she ventured out of the trees, and into the small clearning where this stranger stood.
"Excuse me?" She called to him. Hoping he was the "friendly type". Elirae found it hard to read his expression, and so she continued.
"I am trying to get to Lithonion. I have travelled from The Garnet Towers and i was hoping you might know the way, you see i must be there before nightfall..." She trailed off as she realised that the sun was almost set.
