So what do you do in real life?
This sixteen year old college student, is gonna school you! (atleast in my mind lol)
I worked all summer at a museum, and worked on writting scripts for a cemetery tour which I also got the privlege to work in. I also got a FANTASTIC letter of recommendation, so good you'd think I could walk on water...
And I work at a former president's house (James Madison), in the archeology lab.
So what do you do?

At one point in my life I actually tried to make a living for myself working behind the scenes, making sets and painting backdrops for the local theater. Unfortunately, I take a bit of pride in my work and didn't take kindly to the whimsical, never ending little changes some of the directors wanted to place on my sculptures.
After I decided to quit, I took up the life of working as a farmhand at an all organic farm. I worked there for several years while continuing to take college classes in my spare time. I had to finally give up the farm after I got too far along in my pregnancy to safely climb an orchard ladder.
Since then I have been at home full time, caring for my son, while my husband works out of town and comes home for the weekends.
Oh and I guess I recently turned down a teaching job at a local Montessori school when I found out that I would not only be making just above minimum wage but it wouldn't be enough to cover the cost of sending my son there while I worked.

Right now? Its baby sitting dancers, directors and actors. The little darlings I'm going to apply to "teach" (or mentor?) for next year too. Yay for rising costs.

I was a dancer when I was young, and I'm trying to get back into it if only because it is great exercise but I know I could never pursue it professionally with a spinal injury.

*votes for in-limbo with nothing to do* Oh, wait, we're not voting. >.> WHY AREN'T WE VOTING. VOTING IS WHAT GETS THINGS DONE, PEOPLE! *ahem* As you can probably see, I don't have much of a job (I don't have much of a life either, but who's counting?). I used to though, a damn good one in a racing stable. You know that old saying, you either have the time or the money? Well, I found a job where I could have both, and it was a job I loved. Seriously, guys and girls, if you find a job like that, keep it. No matter what anyone tells you... Though 6am to 4pm may not be your idea of having free time. o.O PS, this was one of the horses I worked with, Winnie. click

Awww, cute Winnie! My daughter would be so jealous!
I suppose you could say I'm the same, being in "limbo", as I'm a stay-at-home mom (and a lot of people think we just sit around doing nothing). I have an embarrassment of degrees, none of which are doing me much good right now (BA with double major in art & theatre, MFA in theatre tech design, AAS in CAD/mechanical drafting).
Though from the above, looks like we have a plethora of theatre people about the realm! "All the world's a stage...."
P.S. Lady Anna --- OMG... I LOVE cemetery tours! The large cemetary in a city near here has tours around Halloween and I adore them!

Wow... So I think I'm the only one who doesn't have a job and hasn't yet. Trying to get one though, I always feel kind of bad asking my parents to pay for my stuff, my hobbies are rather expensive (Magic: THe Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, X Box 360, Paintball etc...).
Just to be sure you all don't think so I'm not a freeloader, I'm only sixteen and where I live you usually have to be seventeen plus to get a job...grr...

I'm a student... so debt/poor/bad reputation etc! But when I'm home in the holidays I work part-time as a waitress (mm, pizza) and in a costume hire shop

I don't really have a job. Well, either you could say I do and it's my life or I don't. I live on a farm in Northern Scotland and it's also a livery yard for local horses so technically my job is a farmer and livery worker. I spend my days getting up at four, counting sheep, working horses, going to school [lucky me I still get to work at school, aren't I lucky], come home and work some more horses, maybe teach a riding lesson or two and then do some farmy stuff, count sheep and sleep. It's a good life. Although it's very useful having two older brothers [even if they are identical twins and can be a pain] who do a lot of work too. So, yeah, that's what I do.
