Well I really ship: Arthur/Morgana, Merlin/Gwen, but I chose Gwen/Lancelot. Because I'm disatisfied the Gwen is a black (no offense it's just inaccurate), servant. Not a blonde royal. I mean come on! But I love Santiago Caberra.

i think i picked lancelot and gwen simply because i hate the idea of arthur and gwen (again its the servant thing!!!)
I know its inevitable because thats how the legend goes...but still, they got it so wrong with gwen that theres always a chance right?

Haha, well I picked Arthur and Arthur, just because I wanted it to get at least one vote (love you arthur) And Bradley James is just so pretty he's only good enough for himself. I dislike Gwen and Arthur as well, I thought Arthur's up and down relationship with Morgana was really sweet in the first series. I like Gwen/Lancelot and Gwen/Merlin too. (Also, in legend doesn't guinevere have an affair with lancelot anyway even after she's married Arthur? I may have to wikipedia it...)

she does indeed! But she is (as anna mentioned) supposed to be a long haired noble... I'm afraid im a bit of a sucker for arthurian legends- i made my family pay heaps of money to go to Tintagel castle-supposedly one of Arthurs fortress' and look at merlins cave. The castle was in total ruins and just looked like a few walls and the cave was just that- a tiny beach in a cave... still

I'm a real sucker for sticking to legends. Like Robin Hood disappointed me with that. I'm for Robin dieing an old man, shooting an arrow out the window, and that's where he's burried. Not the way BBC did it. But, creative liscense and all the fim and fodder.
I do have to say Gwen/Arthur was "cute" for about five seconds. Gwen/Lancelot is great! They fit really well! I'm even kindof liking Merlin/Morgana thing that Merlin's totally crushing on her. But, idk. I'm a sucker for ledgend authenticity. And I was really upset to see the title of the episode when Gwen and Arthur kissed was The Once & Future Queen I do have to say. What? She was once a queen? Huh?

If i might add my two pennies plus a shilling. Not that i am a great mind of Arthurian Legend but the few things I have read about these relations, well they are part truths. As for the affair between Lancelot and Guinevere they actually never had an affair as movies have made people believe. They did fall in love and love one another....but they loved Arthur more. Honor and love for a man they thought greater then all life. Strange to find such devotion. Guinevere obvious out lived Arthur, due to his untimely death. And Lancelot left the realm and died somewhere. Not to sure about that. Sorry if I am going on but that is what I have read as far as history...but its all legend mixed with more legend and some truths about real folk.
Also, just to add. I keep a trip to France. Went to the Pampiant de Foret ( I think that is the name) It had the first (and i believe only ) Church that is both Pagan and Catholic. Has a pagan painted picture on one wall with a white stag upon it. Also I saw merlins thinking spot deep in the forest. (Which is like twenty cities within it.) an underground spring in the center of the woods it turned out to be. then I saw two places where Merlin might be buried, plus the lake of faries, and the lady of the lakes house she shared with Lancelot. ~sighs and takes a breath~ ahhhh done....sorry for the rambling.... its nights shift for me and i have nothing to do to keep me awake so I ramble.
Oh forgot to add my other pennies.... As far as ships...I think change is always good. But Morgana and Arthur....should they not hate one another. I know her son arthur kills in legend...and she hates him with the passion....
In this regard I think I have to say...gah i have no opinion....sorry.

Arthur and himself ::
Basically because I cannot see such noble King coupled with this Gwen, in all honesty she was Queen of the Summer country far before this, at least she was a Princess in the first place and she was so much more that I fear this BBC series only makes you think there will really never be anyone that could amount to what Arthur would deserve, in order words no one would reach his level, simply Arthur rocks!

Ugh it was a hard decision between Arthur and Morgana and Merlin and Morgana.(Need I say I like Morgana ;D) I finally decided on Merlin and Morgana just because they are the to awsome magical people. Just imagine what they could do together. I was totally depressed when Morgana left Camelot even if it is following the legend.

*can't believe she hasn't done this yet...*
My answer: Arthur and HIMSELF Reasoning: Anyone who is that much of a prat could only end up with himself.
