Finally snow had melted and the weather was warm enough to actually enjoy the days. Although her schedule of activities was the same from day to day, the change in weather caused Rebecca to have a rather upbeat step to her walk. She had gone off to the market to run errands but managed to get through them rather quickly so took her time on her walk back to the tavern choosing to enjoy the fresh air.
Upon arriving back at the tavern she set to work finishing the preparations for the day as everyone who worked there had been too exhausted the night before to do the final sweeping/dusting so it was decided to get there a little earlier to clean. She started with opening the windows and main door to air it out and after tying on an apron she grabbed the broom from the corner and set to sweeping the floors. She was currently the only one present and without even realizing it she began to hum a very familiar tune that she had learned as a child. After about 15 minutes of sweeping the tavern was ready for the day. Rebecca set the broom in the corner and closed a few of the windows so as not to completely freeze out the patrons and then settled herself behind the bar to wait and see who would make an appearence-whether it was guest or staff first.

Lancelot had decided to go on a long long walk, now that the ground had cleared of the latest snowfall. The state of the weather was generally unimportant, though. He merely accepted whatever he had to trudge through, generally. He had found a need, since his exit from Raven's birthday party ... an infamous and unforgivable exit in the view of some he had no doubts. He had, though, affirmed this responsibility for the child. However, he had no doubt it would be raised as an Assassin, shaking his head.
He had run Sher-Fore, his stallion, as hard as had dared, then brought him back and stabled him. Lancelot, though he had spoken his words of loyalty to the Pendragons and Camelot, had no notion if he could stay in Camelot or would want to. He decided to take a long walk to the Ram, to try and sort through the issues in his head. He did not think that it was too likely that the Ram would be too heavily populated at this time of the day, and he wondered if it would be a good time to reserve a room there. He did not think that he wanted to stay in the castle environs for awhile. It would be a good thing to stay away as much as he could, he thought, until and unless Arthur summoned him. When he entered he saw a pretty girl sweeping up and humming a a happy melody. "That is a catchy tune .... is t too early to get an ale and see about getting a room?"

"That is a catchy tune .... is t too early to get an ale and see about getting a room?" She hadn't heard the tavern door open as she had left it open to air things out so the only thing that warned her that someone had entered was the sound of footsteps and a voice speaking. Rebecca turned around quickly with a slight blush to the cheek as he commented about her tune. "Oh....Thank you....did not realize anyone was listening. Take a seat at any table and I'll get you your ale. As for the room, I'll reserve one for you and then check that it's ready for you while you drink."
Rebecca set the broom down in the corner, wiped the small amount of dust that had accumulated on her hands onto her apron on and went behind the tavern bar. She recognized the man as one of Camelot's knights-the name was Lancelot if she wasn't mistaken. She took a clean tankard and poured him an ale then brought it over to his table. "Here is your ale, I'll quickly check on your room then give you the key." Rebecca set the ale down on the table then quickly headed upstairs. The vacant room was the first one at the top of the stairs on the right hand side. She entered the room to make sure the bed was straightened up and everything was right with the room. Of course things were always tidied up as soon as someone vacated the room but didn't hurt to check. Satisfied with the room she shut the door behind her and returned to the main room downstairs. "Your room is up the stairs, first room on the right. Anything else you need sir?"

When Lancelot came up behind the woman he had tried to take care to frighten her, for he did not know if she had been aware of his presence. However, he did want to know if he could get something to drink and whether he could arrange accommodations for the day and the night to come. He saw she did react to his voice quickly, but her body language and facial expressions did not indicate that she was displeased at his presence, though he was fairly sure that she she did not know who he was right off. In fact, he saw some color go to her cheeks, but was unsure exactly what the cause was.
"You are quite welcome .... I did not catch your name ..... I am Lancelot .... Sir Lancelot Du Lac. You carry the tune well. Not many have the gift. Ahhh ..... the ale and room .... all at once. I am fortunate this day," .... he said with the slightest of a friendly wink. He watched as she put her broom away and wiped her hands on her apron, and went behind the bar. He assumed that she was going for his ale. He chose a table where he could sit in the shadows with his back to the wall. he hated the idea of being surprised from the rear by a stranger. It was a fatal mistake that he was not willing to risk.
He watched as she deftly brought his ale to him and indicated that the key to his room would be forthcoming soon. She returned shortly, with his key, directions to his room, and a question. "Well, then, for this moment all is right with the world. There are few things a man doth need, is there ..... other than drink and a place to rest his head. With the exception of some food, of course. It would be nice to have some company as well, but I'm sure you are busy, and wouldn't want to take you from your duties," he said with a nod to his head.
