Name: Princess Isotta of Iwernia
Age: Eighteen
Sex: Female
Class: Foreign royalty
Appearance: Isotta has skin as pale as porcelain, and hair the hue of flame. Her figure is slender and wiry, almost too slender to be healthy. She seems incredibly fragile, though one might be surprised by her strength. Her features are very angular, and her lips are a very pale salmon-pink. Her slate-gray eyes are cold, but lovely. All in all, a striking individual.
Playby: Sienna Guillory
Character: Isotta’s personality is an interesting blend. She has been raised to be proud of her lineage and of her country, but she is not so proud that she cannot appreciate the rest of the world. She is anxious to be liked in Camelot, despite her loyalty to Iwernia. Her hard exterior is only a shell. Inside, Isotta is a sensitive person. She is quick to frustration and tears, but does her best to remain the strong princess that she is. The one thing most people will never see about Isotta is her desperation. She is madly in love with a man, a knight who travels Albion. His name is Drystan, and her travels around Albion (and to Camelot) are purely in search of him.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Strong loyalty for her country and her king
- High levels of intelligence
- Very much independent
- excellent horsewoman
Weaknesses:
- her devotion to Drystan makes him a weakness of hers
- occasional overambitious pride (she can be a snob)
- terrible reader, she’s terrified of having to read aloud
- red-green colorblind
Magic: None whatsoever.
Weaponry Skills: Isotta can shoot a bow if necessary, she’s a pretty decent shot, but she never learned most other weapons skills.
Character History: Isotta is a princess, though not of Camelot. She hails from the royal house of Ailech, that rules over the land of Iwernia, west of Albion, across the sea. She has two sisters, and is the middle child- therefore, her parents are uninterested in the reasoning behind her travels to Albion. She is here in search of her lover Drystan, having heard rumors that he may be in the area of Camelot. Of course, as a princess, she is betrothed to wed a man of Iwernia that her parents have chosen, but we’ll just see how that goes.
Drystan met Isotta when he performed a great service for the realm. The Queen Isotta, mother and namesake of her daughter Princess Isotta, granted him knighthood, and the princess Isotta was selected to provide hostess services. This wound up in a love affair that has stretched across time and distance. Now, Isotta has come to Camelot to visit King Uther and his court, to encourage peace between Albion and Iwernia.
Additional Information: This character, in case you haven’t noticed, is based very loosely on the classic Arthurian character of Isolde, princess of Ireland. I’m getting all of my information from bits and pieces scattered around the legends, so it won’t all read as it should. Just be warned.
Sample Roleplay: Do I have to? Just read anything written by my other character, Mordred.
