Legend strode through the countryside, his thoughts elsewhere. He had nothing better to do, so he'd decided to go for a walk. There was a short dagger attached to his belt, not that he knew how to use it. It was just there to make him look better. Well, not really, he could control it, not too well, but good enough to defend himself with it. Why he was out in the middle of the night? Legend didn't know. He didn't have a horse, or any professions, just himself, his magic, and that useless dagger. Up ahead he heard the sound of hooves and instantly pulled the dagger from its sheath. It felt heavy in his grasp, he'd never used it to kill someone before, he hoped he didn't have to use it now. He crept forward and saw the lady, sword drawn. His small dagger would be no use against the sword. He stepped out and let the dagger clatter to the ground. "I mean you no harm," he said, looking at her through gentle eyes.

"Hmph." was all Raven said. She spun her sword around in her hand artistacally before returning it back into its sheath. "What are you doing here?" she asked. Raven knew that now she wouldn't get to be alone. That was out of the question. Her horse pawed the ground, impatiently. He let out an angry grunt. "I'm sorry I have to go." Raven said. She stroked the stallion's ebony neck to calm him down and he took off at a brisk walk right after remounting him.

Legend watched her go. His head cocked to the side. He wondered what she was doing. Where she was going. He wanted to find out. So he picked up his wimpy dagger and followed at a brisk pace that set him about thirty feet behind the lady's steed. He cautiously picked his way through the underbrush, unsure of what he was doing. What was he thinking going after her?! It was obvious that she didn't want to be followed. But of course, this was Legend. And Legend was curious. Far too curious for that matter. "I really am out of my mind, aren't I?" Legend muttered to himself, his thoughts wandering. Then his head snapped up as a wolf howl sounded about 100 feet to the east.
