Name: Guinevere Thomas
Age: 20 years old
Sex: Female
Class: Peasant / Servant
Appearance: Guinevere’s dark curls are often either pinned back in a loose bun, or left to flow somewhat freely around her shoulders. She is slightly on the shorter side, however makes up for this with her bright smile and happy demeanour. The young woman has a delicate build and rounded features, but in no way does this belie the inner strength she possesses.
Her clothing often consists of her working dresses, along with an apron and she is rarely seen without either her cloak or a basket perched on her hip. Her clothing is well worn and simple, however she strives to keep herself clean despite her duties and takes some pride in that which she wears, most often than not having made it herself.
She shares her fathers dark skin and full lips, however young Guinevere has next to no idea about the effect her appearance can have on some men. Some find her quite attractive and beautiful, but her nature and fear of her status makes her disbelieving of this more often than not. One mole dots the curve of her right cheek and ever so slight dimples which peak out when she smiles.

Character: Guinevere was quite shy and awkward as she grew up, finding it difficult to strike a balance between her strong spirit and her status in society. She often found herself caught in situations she didn’t want to be in or saying things she didn’t mean to say. This continued on into her adult years, usually happening around men though. Most notably, Merlin and Arthur. Gwen is kind and gentle towards all, being without prejudice and showing a genuine concern for everyone around her. She hates seeing people hurt and has an affinity towards to standing up for those who are weaker.
She believes strongly in doing what is right, no matter the consequences, but unfortunately occasionally finds it difficult to follow through on this, due to her subservient nature, which can sometimes overtake her. Nevertheless, she tries her best to do all she can, and help those who need it. Like her mistress, Gwen believes, at least in some things, that women are just as capable as men, and that includes fighting for what they hold dear.
Overall, she is a warm and loving person who is always willing to lend a hand to those who need it, while never asking for anything in return. Gwen is an open book to those around her.

Weaponry Skills: While being the blacksmith's daughter may have spoiled her when it came to lady like ways, Guinevere learnt a great deal about weaponry and armour from her father. She can handle, quite capably, a sword and is able to defend herself against others.
Character History: Born and raised in Camelot, Guinevere is the only daughter of the blacksmith named Tom. Her mother was a maid in Sir Leon’s household and she grew up with Leon, along with her older brother Elyan. Gwen has been the personal maidservant to the Lady Morgana since they were both young children, and she remains to this day her friend. Gwen is a very talented seamstress and learned from her father in the forge how to mend armour and work with weapons. She also learned how to fight with many weapons, though mainly with a sword. Elyan left Camelot a year before Merlin arrived and Gwen has not seen him since.
Guinevere has become close friends with Merlin since his arrival, and, thanks to the young man, has started to see Prince Arthur in a different light. He has helped her to see that there is more to the Prince than the bully facade he projects and she, like Merlin, has come to believe he will make a great King when his time comes. She lost her father not long after this and, while it caused her great sadness, she holds no resentment towards King Uther. Gwen firmly stands by the belief that she has to be a better person and strives to keep herself open minded and fair.
Additional Information: Gwen, when she has free time, loves to roam in the fields and pick wild flowers, which she often gives to others and the Lady Morgana. One is usually threaded through her hair.
Sample Roleplay: "If that is all for the night my lady, I wish you a good nights sleep," Gwen said with a warm smile as she tucked the Lady Morgana down into her bed. While they were servant and mistress, Gwen counted Morgana as one of her closest friends. Having been together since they were young, she trusted the other woman explicitly. With a final smile and bow after blowing out the candle, she made her way to the door and slipped out, closing it behind her.
As she made her way home, Gwen allowed her thoughts to wander. She would make supper when she reached home and sew up that tear in her other dress she had recieved in the field. A clumcy slip and an errant stick later, she had been forced to change her dress before going to fetch Morgana's dinner. The other woman had smiled and chuckled as Gwen had regaled her with the tale of the evil stick, and the servant had felt much better about the trip. Clumsy though she could be sometimes, she was getting better.
A faint wind blew through the street as Guinevere arrived home, lifting her stray few locks of hair and whipping them around her face, but she paid them little mind as she entered the abode.
A short while later, as she finished her supper, and set down to get to her sewing, Gwen yawned into the back of her hand. Perhaps the sewing could wait until tomorrow, she surmised, putting it aside and preparing herself for the welcoming arms of her bed.
