Guinevere thought for a moment she recognised the voice which called back in response to Lillian's scream, but she didnt have long to dwell on it as the creature moved again.
Gwen nearly stumbled over a large-ish branch behind her, but when she righted herself, she picked it up and pushed it into Felicity's hands, since she couldnt use it herself.
"Gotta be better than nothing," she said with a shrug as she stood with the girls.

Arthur finally breached the bushes that had blocked the girls from his view and he wash shocked by what he saw. Three girls stood in front of him, one holding a branch as though they might use it as a weapon. All were clearly terrified to their wits end.
In front of the trio, was a monstrous creature. It was an Alphyn, a lionlike creature with features of a dragon. It was similar to a Griffon, yet slightly less aggressive. Well, usually.
"Stand back girls!" Arthur yelled, unsheathing his sword and sweeping it in an arc towards the Alphyn. It growled slightly louder, but Arthur just smirked.
"If any of you three are squeamish, I'd advise you look away now.."

Lillian didn't exactly want to see the creature die so she looked at the ground. Thank goodness he came when he did. she thought to herself. She was glad that, before the creature had decided to eat them, someone found them. She would have to give him more then a hundred thanks.

The deed done, Arthur wiped his sword on the sparse grass which littered the forest floor here. He hated putting a dirty sword in his scabbard, but he supposed sometimes it couldnt be helped. Satisfied that it was as clean as could be, he sheathed it and turned to the girls, ignoring the large mass that lay bleeding out before them.
"So what are you three doing here so far from home?" He grinned, "You could quite easily get yourselves hurt.." He eyed the form beside them.

Now Guinevere wouldnt say she was squeamish, she had grown up around the kitchens of Camelot after all, but even she had to avert her eyes for a few moments when the Price finished off the creature. That was nothing like watching a chicken have its head cut off.
When the thrashing finally stopped, she looked up again, glad to see it was dead and Arthur was cleaning his sword. 'Men and their swords,' she thought for a moment. And how blase he was about getting killed, while her insides were still shaking a bit.
Glancing at Lillian, she swallowed. "We were walking," she said. "I mean, of course we were walking or we wouldnt be here..." she amended a moment later. Ah she sounded like a fool. "We didnt go looking for it," she decided on finally. To save herself from saying anything stupid, she looked to her wrist and moved it gently. A trip to Gaius was in order it would seem.

Felicity felt guilt rushing through her as she bowed her head, her long brown hair falling into her face. She didn't mind, though. She didn't want it to be seen. She let out a sad sigh. How could she have been so ridiculously foolish?
"I'm sorry...." Felicity said, sadly. "This is all my fault for suggesting that we go walking in the woods. That was so foolish and dangerous...."
Felicity felt horrible. She couldn't believe how foolish she had been. She should have thought about this clearly. This was just terrible. She could have killed her new friends.

Lillian looked at Felicity with shock written all over her face. "Felicity!" Said Lillian forcefully. "It is not your fault, and don't you even think that! How could you have none that we would run into that creature?" Her voice had softened. Lillian still could not believe that Felicity had blamed herself. She turned from Felicity and looked at Gwen. "Are you alright?" Her gaze traveled back to Felicity, "Both of you?" She turned to Arthur, she recognized him then. "Thank you for saving us," she told him.

Relief swept over Felicity when she heard Lillians words. She was so relieved that she wasn't angry with her. Still, Felicity felt a bit guilty. She always felt guilt over things like this. The three could have been killed. If Felicity had not suggested the walk, they would never have been in danger.
"I'm alright....Are you two?" Felicty asked with concern for her friends.
Felicty really hoped that they were alright. She then looked at the man who had saved them. Prince Arthur himself! Well, this was eventful. She had always thought fondly of him, even though they had never met. She had heard stories and felt that he'd make a great king some day.
"Thank you so much...." She said to him kindly.

When her friend asked her if she too was alright, Lillian nodded and said, with reassurance, "Yes, I am fine." Lillian's heart was still beating rather wildly from the turn of events, it thudded in her ears. Thud...thud...thud. It seemed so loud that Lillian feared that the others could hear it. She wasn't frightened anymore, she was just recovering from the shock. She took a deep breath and turned to Arthur, "How did you find us?" She already knew the answer, but she really wanted to know how he had gotten there so fast, yes he had been riding a horse, but the woods were dense and it couldn't have been easy.

Gwen listened as the others spoke to each other and then Arthur, gingerly testing out her wrist. It didnt seem hurt too badly, thankfully. Gaius would probably wrap it up and tell her to take it easy.
Morgana would no doubt blame Arthur, saying he should have gotten there sooner, and that thought brought a small smile to Gwen's face. Morgana was fiercely protective of her friends, even Arthur though she knew she'd loathe to admit it.
There was Guinevere's subserviant streak coming out yet again as she remained silent. This was Prince Arthur after all. A Prince. She was a servant and what had been ingrained in her since childhood was difficult to forget.

"Well whatever the reason you were all here, I am sure that it was no ones fault. Your each in one piece anyway, so lets not dwell on such matters any longer."
He gazed back at his horse, wondering if there were some way in which he could carry the girls back to the city...but alas, there was no way he and three girls could ride together. The horse would hard pushed to carry just the girls, and he had no intention of injuring a fine steed.
"Well girls, are you heading back to the city now? I can escort you if need be?"

[Since the others didn't reply, I shall]
Guinevere glanced at the other women for a moment, as if trying to gauge their decisions, before she lifted her chin a little and spoke. "I need to return," she said, though keeping her eyes respectfully downcast as was expected of her. This was Prince Arthur afte rall. "It seems I have hurt myself and will need to see Gaius," she added, sending a small smile to Lilliana and Felicity in reassurance.
She wasn't hurt too badly, she could still move her wrist after all, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Gaius would be able to tell her the best course of action regarding it and she would listen. She had no desire to hurt herself further after all.
Guinevere figured she could find her way back by herself. "Thank you, your highness," the lady said, curtsying as best she could before straightening up again. With a quick glance at what remained of the threat that had caused her injury, she turned and made to head back into town. Maybe she could see Merlin while she was with Gaius.

Lillian nodded her head to Arthur, "Thank you, Prince Arthur." She looked at Gwen, who was walking away. After giving Arthur one last nod of thanks she went to catch up with Gwen. Lillian walked beside Gwen, once she caught up with her. She said nothing for a long while. Just listened to the rustle of the leaves on the trees. Before she spoke she looked over at Felicity and offered the girl a little wave of good-bye. She looked over at Gwen then and asked, "Are you sure your wrist is okay?"
