Felicity returned the bird to Lillian and smiled. She was really ready for this walk. She was already starting to feel so comfortable with her new friends. She could really get used to being around them. They didn't seem like the girls she had met in the past. The ones that only used her.
"Shall we go into the woods? I know a great path we could take! I walk it every afternood when I have nothing to do." Felicity suggested, "What do you two say?"
Felicity smiled at them, hoping that they liked her idea. The path was wonderful. So many things to explore. She loved it with a passion and she really wanted to share it with Lillian and Gwen.

Giving the bird one last soft pat on the head Lilian let the small brightly colored blue bird. "A walk in the woods sounds wonderful," Lillian said with a grin. She was glad that Felicity knew a path to take, as she was horrible at finding paths in new places. Eager to get to know Camelot forests a little better Lillian had agreed with Felicity's suggestion to have a calm walk in the woods. She hoped that there was nothing that could possibly harm them in the thick bundle of trees.

Guinevere remained silent as the bird approached Lillian, then was handed off to Felcitiy. It really was a sight to behold, and there was no way Gwen was going to be clumsy enough to spoil this moment like she had so many others in the past.
A smile made its way over her face when the bird finally flew off. Felicity looked so happy. It was incredible how a such a simple experience could bring such happiness to someone. Gwen wished everyone could feel like that sometimes.
At Felicity's suggestion of a walk in the woods, Gwen's smile widened. She could pick some flowers while they were out. That last bunch she had given to her Lady were looking a bit sad and would soon need disposing of. A new bunch would brighten things up considerably.
"The woods sound perfect," she said almost giddily. "There are some very pretty wild flowers that grow in the woods," she added on thoughtfully. "My Lady Morgana likes the white ones especially. I often pick them for her when I have free time."

Lillian smiled widened, as Gwen accepted Felicity's suggestion of the woods. She was quiet glad that Gwen had accepted as well. It would be much more fun with her along. Not that Felicity wasn't fun, it was just....let's say the more the merrier! Lillian looked from Gwen to Felicity; "I hope one of you know then way, I've never really thought to wonder the woods..." she thought for a moment, "But it would be wonderful to get to know those deep trees better."

Felicity smiled and nodded. She knew the way. As she began to lead her new friends out of the market, they had a pretty long walk to go. The three walked in silence until they reached the woods.
"Here we are!" she said with delight. She was so excited about this walk. This would be so much fun! Felicty led the girls into the woods. "I love the tree's! They're so beautiful, aren't they?"

Lillian glanced around the trees were beautiful. She had never seen the forest from this side. She looked up at the top branches and saw a few birds hopping here to there, here to there. They chirped and sang their lovely songs. "This is beautiful, Felicity." she said looking around. Her eyes were now on the shrubs and flowers around them. They were white ones, blue ones, and every other color.

Felicity looked around at the surroundings, wondering what it would be like to ride a horse at full speed down it's path. Felicity had always dreamed of riding on the back of a dragon or something really amzing. She secretly craved adventure.
Felicity decided that it was time to learn every detail about her new friends. She wanted to know how the three were alike, but also how they were different. This would be very interesting. She decided to start asking questions.
"What do you two-" Felicity paused, her eyes growing wide. She could not believe her eyes. A large creature stood before she and her new friends. Felicity's mouth dropped as she slowly backed away in shock.

"What do you two-"
Lillian saw Felicity take a step back, her eyes grow wide. Her mouth fell open slightly and she took a step back. Lillian turned to look where Felicity's gaze was. She took a step back in horror. There was large creature in front of them. "Do you think we should go?" Lillian asked taking a gentle step back. She turned slowly to look at Felicity, still looking at the creature out of the corner of her eyes.

Guinevere had already started to gather a small bunch of flowers when she heard Felicity and Lillian fall silent. Frowning, she too glanced over and paled ever so slightly. How had a creature gotten so close to Camelot without being seen?
Swallowing, Gwen tightened her grip marginally on the flowers she held as Lillian spoke.
"We cant outrun it together," she said softly, hoping not to spur the creature into attacking. Right now it seemed to be busy looking at them, as if trying to decide which one would be more tasty. Yuck!
Maybe she could lure it into chasing her while Felicity and Lillian ran for help. She was fast....ish. When she wasnt tripping over her own feet. Seeing the sudden tensing in the creatures back legs, Gwen knew what was coming. She'd seen enough horses, and men pose like that to know.
Before she could think better of it, she pushed Felicity and Lillian out of the way as the creature sprung, leaping to the side herself.

What a glorious day.
Arthur sat astride a beautiful Arabian stallion, whose coat gleamed in the early morning sunlight which shone through the gaps in the forest canopy above. He was immensely glad that spring was finally on its way, for he had had more than enough of snowy mornings and bitterly cold nights. His people were struggling- especially in the slums- and he knew that it wasnt much better for those in Lower Town either. Still, with spring on the way the nights were slightly shorter and the temperature was slowly rising. It would be a month or two before the trees started to blossom, but already he was excited.
He was out this fine morning simply to enjoy the sunshine after weeks of grey skies. His red jacket was buttoned tightly to the collar to keep out the wind which was still blowing out in the open, but he loosened the top one now as it was far more sheltered in the woods. As he did so, he tightened his knees around the horse's barrel, urging him to begin walking. He wobbled slightly as he did so, taking a few seconds to gain balance while not holding the reigns, but after years of riding lessons, Arthur was skilled enough to gather himself quite quickly.
He had not gone more than a hundred metres when he heard a scuffle in the trees ahead. He frowned, slowing his steed down, but when he heard no more he assumed it was just animals and continued with his walk.

Despite herself Lillian screamed as the creature sprang. Just as she thought that they would surely die under the paws of the creature Gwen pushed Lillian's shoulder and she hit into Felicity knocking both of them to the ground. She got to her feet and looked down at her friends, "Are ether of you hurt?" she asked as the creature turned back to them and growled softly in anger. Lillian felt fear grip her once more as the creature began to stalk toward the trio.

Guinevere pushed herself up off the ground, taking a few errant leaves with her, and she hissed a little at her wrist. It wasnt broken but it had protested that movement and made itself known. It would appear she'd landed on it funny. Just what she needed when they had a big, ugly monster sizing them up for dinner.
"I'm okay," she said to Lillian, her eyes searching the area for something to use as a weapon, as she cradled her hand.
She didnt even carry a dagger like some women. Foolish she could see now.

A scream shattered the serenity of the forest, and all of the hairs on the back of Arthur neck stood up. That was not the scream of an animal or even of a human at play. That was the sound of sheer terror.
Whirling his horse around and urging him into a canter, Arthur bent down low to the horses mane, gathering as much speed as he could through the trees. It was dangerous, for the ground was uneven and the horse could have easily lost his footing, but right now those sorts of thoughts didnt even enter the Prince's mind. After all horses were much more dispensable than humans.
Finally Arthur arrived at where the scream had come from, but he could see nothing.
"Hello?" He called out anxiously, "Where are you!?"

She sighed, now that she knew Gwen was alright. Lillian turned toward the sound of the voice, she realized that the owner of the voice couldn't see the trio from where they were in the tall underbrush. She was about to step out in the open when the creature made her move for her. She knew for sure that the owner of the voice would see the creature.

Felicity heard a voice call for them. She swallowed, looking up at the creature with fearful eyes. She nodded slowly, in response to Lillians question. She wasn't sure if she was alright, though. She was terrified. More terrified than she had ever been in her whole eighteen years of life.
"W-We're over here!" she called out in a high pitched voice that she did not recognize. She looked at the creature, breathless, not knowing what to do. She was not much of a fighter. She had no real experience and this was not a good thing.
This was all her fault. Why had she insisted that the three went on a walk? She should have known better. Now her new friends were going to die and it was all her fault. Felicity felt her heart sink. Even if they did survive, they would want nothing to do with her now.
