Name: Gawain of Lothian
Age: Twenty Seven
Sex: Male
Class: Training to be a Knight.
Appearance:
Gawain stands at around six feet completely. He has a rather slim but very firm build. Working our way down, he has a healthy head of cropped brown hair which he never lets it grow long. His face has a few androgynes features. He has a rather subtle jawline, while still noticeable, that leads to a rounded chin. A rather wide nose while not being too overbearing, just making it seem like it's always flared. Then the main focal point of his face, his eyes. While his siblings all have his father's eyes, Gawain was the only one born with his mother's intense ice blue eyes.
When he's out and about traveling he tends to stick with the basic peasant wear. He's decided that it's best to blend in during certain situations.
Play by: Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Character:
While his appearance may be somewhat stand-offish, Gawain is a very courteous person when not on the battlefield. He was raised with manners and an idea of how people should be treated. His position has no effect on how he treats others, even those below him of course. This certainly doesn't mean he's a pushover, but he holds a strong sense of respect for other people. There is a line with him that once it's crossed will cause someone to have a personal meeting with the sharp edge of his sword.
Gawain's often referred to as the champion of women. A title mostly earned because of his chivalrous attitude towards women. He remains a respectable figure but hey, he's a red blooded male.
While he hasn't pursued that much of a formal education he's extremely resourceful, using what he's got with him to aide him in any way possible. It's been an attribute that has helped mold him into the skilled swordsman that he's slowly grown into.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths
- Gawain is exceptionally good at wielding a sword, it's become something natural to him and his main source of weaponry.
- He's naturally charismatic and can definitely work his way with people.
- Gawain is fiercely loyal to a fault almost. Especially when it comes to his King and family.
Weakness
- While he can definitely woo a woman, he can easily be distracted himself
- His anger, while he doesn't lash out during normal scenery he can lose himself easily during a simple sparring session.
-Any other type of weapon that isn't a sword. It almost feels unnatural for him to be using something asides from anything close to a blade of some sorts. While he does try his best to become accustomed, he tends to lose focus just trying to get used to it.
Magic: He has no magic skills.
Weaponry Skills: He's well trained with swords and any blade of some type. Anything other than that he's never tried or just isn't good at it.
Character History:
Born in the territory of Lothian, Gawain was born as the first son of the residing king.
King Lot of Orkney and Lothian.
Gawain was one of the oldest out of the five children born under the Kings name. A proud fact that King Lot likes to relish in, the fact that all five of his children were males. Five exceptional choices for the next heir to the throne. It was also that fact that caused Gawain to chose the upbringing he had. Someplace away from the castle.
A large amount of Gawain's boyhood was spent in the city of Rome, until he got called back to his father's Kingdom where he's remained until a year prior to this. He'd grown tired of the familiar surrounds, the tedious tasks that were required of him that weren't even necessary. Year after year he found himself growing hungry, not of the actual physical sense, but something inside him that was missing. He needed a passion for life. Something he wasn't finding in his father's Kingdom.
After much arguing with his father, Gawain's decided that he wasn't going to let his father decide what he felt might benefit him in the long run. So he decided to leave.
With nothing more than a few items to barter and his valued horse, he took off. He went searching for something to satiate that hole inside of him. That search landed him in Camelot.

Sample Roleplay:
Gawain grinned wickedly down at his younger brother as the dark haired male was sprawled out on the floor, the annoyance decorating his equally handsome features. "You cheat." He spat out, his hand coming up to swipe at the blood that trickled down his cheek. Gareth pushed himself up off the dirt ground as his lanky body coiled with the anger that was just as apparent in his face as well as the way he moved along the open area.
"Wouldn't call it cheating. You left your right side open." He tapped his own right shoulder with the small blade in his hand as he spoke. He wasn't trying to upstage his brother, more so, just show him any mistakes that could be the slightest difference from being on either side of a fatal strike from a sword.
Gareth scowled as he rolled his shoulders before bringing his own sword up. The younger boy nodded, the same determination that'd been consistent throughout the fight. He rushed towards him, moving faster than Gawain had expected at the moment. He had barely dodged out of the way.
When the wooden sword swiped at him, he held his up, a loud crack at the forceful contact.
Gawain shook his arm, feeling his brother's strength reverberate through his bones. His dark eyebrows knitted above his eyes as his brother twirled into a kick, barely catching Gawain's chin. He paused, looking mildly shocked before laughing. "Well now…" his voice trailed off.
The grin broadened on his face, matching his brother's own vicious one. Gawain charged at him, a flurry of swipes from their swords and punches coming from both ends that were avoided with grace…and loud curses. It wasn't long before the swords were dropped and the brother's were entwined. A storm of fists and kicks along with playful jabs as they rolled around the dirt floor, trying to find the other's weak spot.
They soon parted, both worn and bruised from the various as they faced one another, their chests rising with each labored breath. Gareth rushed first, allowing Gawain a split second to quickly crouch and wrap his arms around his brother before they both collapses to the floor. Gareth let out a loud groan as he squirmed under his brother before giving up. "Rematch! You weigh more than that oaf Diedre! It wasn't fair!"
"Just accept defeat gracefully, brother. Begging doesn't suit you." He teased before getting off the ground.
This was one thing Gawain was going to miss, seeing his younger brothers whenever he wanted to, the playful banter between them all. But it was all going to pay out in the end. There was no doubt in his mind about that.
