Chase was impressed at Keleth's trap. It showed foresight and cunning. Still Keleth hadn't made the trap to be automatic so Chase had a couple of seconds to prepare before Keleth woke up enough to order them to attack him. By that time Chase had prepared his shields by chanting "Tarian mi o niwed"
Chase was slightly more surprised at the next turn of events. Somehow Keleth managed to awaken himself and continue controlling the beast's he had summened. Only something felt off about Keleth, not only had his eyes changed color but his magic aura seemed different as well. What had happened to the teen? Chase wondered.
Still whatever happened Chase would see to it that Keleth was crushed. He refused to be shown off by the young upstart. It was time for some serious magic.
Chase watched as Keleth took to the skies. Chase felt confident that if it was going to be a aerial battle he couldn't lose. He had been flying for months and the very wind itself was his weapon. "Beleg sul aran hyarya ndengina goth sinome" He lifted off into the sky as a whirlwind started to form around the phoenix carrying Keleth. "Naur heru naara ilya i' palurin" His second spell would add flames to the already dangerous wind.
Chase almost threw another spell into the mix but controlled himself remembering that he didn't want to kill the youth. As it was he had probably gone slightly overboard. Even if Keleth had somehow managed to regain his energy in his strange transformation he would still have serious trouble trying to protect himself.

Keleth learned that Chase was indeed good with the elements, and in a way he needed to find a way to destroy that in matter of seconds. He rode the Phoenix into the air as he then began to feel a whirlwind surround him which would have been okay for Keleth to handle but now flames began to flow with the wind. Commanding his other Phoenix to be right next to the whirlwind, soon he used his own phoenix to push him through the fire wind which would allow him to be sent off to his other remaining phoenix. Though the cost of that would be to damage Keleth in some way of getting burnt. Either way he was going to get burnt, allowing his phoenix to get a little speed it shot Keleth into the air through the whirlwind of fire. Seconds after the flames and the wind soon engulfed the phoenix killing it upon impact not able to withstand the heat.
Keleth could feel the burning heat of the fire and the scratches from the sharp wind through out his body but yet he couldn't control his body to stop. It was as if he was stuck in his own body but not able to do anything. Feeling everything he soon began to feel numb from the pain. Keleth who's inner demon soon took control could feel the pain but yet it remained to keep on fighting. The phoenix grabbed keleth with its wings and flew into the air, "Enemy of mine, bind him through your source of darkness!" He shouted as he pointed up into the sky and then straight toward the flying teen. Several bolts of darkness went toward Chase, two toward his arms, and two toward his legs. He didn't care if most would hit, but if one of them would hit he would be binded from using his element magic for the time being. Keleth who seemed trapped in his own body could feel the amount of energy being used and nothing could be stopped. He hoped this was not the self control Rose told him not to give into or it would kill him. The body of Keleth soon pointed his arm into the sky, "Power of destruction, surround me, surround my enemy, take us both into the depths of Hell!" He began to chant, soon a black whirlwind was being creating with the sky. He was making a black hole and Keleth inside could feel the power being used. With all his might he knew if he was able to control his inner demon he would be able to stop the spell.
With great strength, and with the hope of not giving up he began to fight through the walls he felt were being thrown at him. After what seem like a lifetime of fighting he felt himself face to face with his own self but one looked different. He looked very dark, his eyes were black, his aurour of magic felt stronger and deadly. Keleth who could see himself charged at himself and soon a bright light was shinned and the true Keleth opened his eyes to see the sky and turning into a black hole. With out a second of delay he felt the amounts of energy being taken from his body as he fainted on the back of the phoenix in the air. The sky soon turned normal as the spell was lost. The phoenix came down to the ground slowly and faded as it was not needed anymore. There lied Keleth laying on the ground unconscious.
"I was wondering how far you would push my student. Thankfully he didn't kill himself as well as killing you. You had made Keleth tapped into his inner demon which took control of his body. How far were you going to go with him?" A strong female voice rose through the air. Out came a female in a black robe with long blue hair, she looked like she was in her twenties but she was really in her thirties.

Chase found the new turn of events very interesting. First it appeared that whatever was now controlling Keleth was pulling up power from somewhere and had attempted to block Chase's elemental powers. Chase knew he couldn't block the spell's so he had been forced to teleport out of the way to evade them.
Even more interesting to Chase was what happened next. Whatever was controlling Keleth attempted to open a portal to Hell. What an interesting spell, thought Chase. After all not only was it incredibly forbidden to open portals to other worlds but this particular portal would probably try to kill both of them if they went through it. Still Chase thought that he could cope and was even looking forward to see just what was on the inside of the portal. He had been right to push Keleth as far as he could. Not only had Keleth unlocked some hidden monstrosity inside of him but he was also showing Chase some incredibly interesting spells. Too bad once they went through the portal the teen would probably die.
Unfortunately for Chase it appeared that the real Keleth managed to fight his way back in control of his body and managed to cancel the spell before falling unconscious from his overexertion. Chase was slightly disappointed that he hadn't gotten to go through the portal but decided it was for the best. Now Keleth would still be alive to help him.
Chase whirled around at the sound of a voice behind him. His eyes met those of a blue haired lady. So this was Keleth's trainer. He listened to what she had to say before responding by saying, "I simply pushed him as far as I could. I wanted to see just what he was capable of. It was his own choice to let the demon take control. Stupid of him but you obviously didn't mind considering you didn't even try to stop it. Which is interesting because what he just did was extremely unhealthy. The only way he could have gotten that much energy at the end was if he was pulling it from his life force. So don't blame me for pushing him that far since you could have stopped it at any moment. What game are you playing with him?" Chase sincerely wanted to know what the lady's game was since she had just stood by and watched the fight even though she knew it would be harmful to Keleth's health. Still the lad should recover in a day or two so Chase guessed that there was no real harm done. He waited for the lady's answer

Rose looked at the teen with no emotion on her face, she felt calm and she didn't need to explain her actions though she knew she will do it anyway to show the teen an important lesson. Crossing her arms she looked at chase and walked closer to him, "There is no game, i'm only trying to protect my.... She spoke as for some reason she paused as she almost blew her cover to this kid. Realizing she had almost blew her cover she changed the topic to put the blame on Chase, "I know who you are Chase. Did you really think that you would use Keleth for your own gain, to get rid of Dreamer." She stared at Chase with a wicked glare as stopped in front of him. How did she know about Chase, well she had a little spy in the guild that told her so.

Chase listened to the lady's attempt to provoke him with a certain amount of mirth. Just how stupid did she think he was? She was obviously trying to change the subject from just what Keleth meant to her. To Chase who had been trained to read people and discover just what they really meant the lady's sudden silence on just what Keleth was spoke more then if she had actually said something.
"What are you trying to hide lady? Its already obvious that you are Keleth's tutor in the Brotherhood. You say I am using him to further my own ends? That may be true but so are you so don't act as if I am the bad one here. Anyway whats to stop me from capturing you right now and turning you in. Keleth is more interested in the power of the Brotherhood then in its goals. He could easily be persuaded to join me once your influence is gone. So if I were you I wouldn't interfere." Chase's threat was obvious, either the lady stepped down or she would fight Chase.
Chase awaited the lady's answer wondering how she would choose. Would she risk the fight? If she did Chase was unsure of how it would end. He felt confident that he was stronger than the lady but he had expanded quite a bit of energy against Keleth. However Chase did have the advantage in that all he needed to do was survive until someone noticed the battle. The lady would be forced to flee if another mage arrived.

Rose looked at Chase with fire in her eyes, she has far more worth of knowledge then he ever had, "Your ego blinds you. I am much stronger then you think. Knowing Dark magic is just one of my talents. It wouldn't be wise for you to test me. I'm only here to see that my son...made it..." She then stopped as she told this boy who one secret that she hid from everyone in the world. Looking at keleth then back to chase, "You say anything about what I just said to Keleth it will be your live in the grave. My influence on him is much greater then yours will ever be. The dark brotherhood is none of your concern and trust me Keleth will be punished for speaking word about us. But his loyalty is to the dark brotherhood. I must leave but next time we meet though I might not be so kind to leave with out a fight. Make sure to give him some rest!" She spoke as she was Keleth's mother and not a brotherhood member. She felt ashamed and that was why she had to leave before her emotions made the best of her.
Keleth began to wake up though he could feel much pain in his body but he was very tired and needed rest though he heard two people talking almost fighting but he couldn't tell who it was. "Chase.....whats....going...o..." He spoke as he tried to open his eyes but yet nothing opened and only small words came out of Keleth's mouth.

Chase felt no fear at the lady's words. Perhaps his ego blinded him but the lady's fear for her son blinded her even more. She hadn't even seen his true power yet and she already claimed she could crush him. Chase was already in the top handful of mages in the guild. Even if she was as strong as him she wouldn't be able to kill him before someone from the guild noticed the fight. It was amazing that the fight with him and Keleth hadn't been picked up by someone.
"Please don't punish him for talking about the Brotherhood. Cause if you do then he won't give me as much information and I'll have to go beat up some other pawn of the Brotherhood to get information. Don't worry about his health I won't hurt him. I want him to survive as well, remember?" Chase said in answer to the lady's speech. He watched her leave until he heard noises coming from Keleth.
Chase ran over to where Keleth was and said "Don't worry. You'll be fine. We just need to get you to a bed. Where should I take you?" Chase said the words more because he knew Keleth would expect them then because he actually wanted to help Keleth. Still he did need to keep Keleth alive if he wanted to use the teen. He waited for Keleth's answer.

Rose was gone in seconds as Keleth began to speak small words, "Slums is where I live. Small building near gate...." Keleth spoke with much energy as he could but then soon just stopped talking. Keleth couldn't use his words anymore, his energy was clearly gone and had no room to talk anymore.
A day has passed.
Keleth opened his eyes as he felt the soreness in his entire body as he tried to move. Opening his eyes he saw himself in his house which was nothing really just a old bed in an abandon small house. Wondering what had happen the night before, all he could remember was being slept by chase and then waking up here. "Chase?" Keleth spoke as he tried moving his body up and all he could do give off a small moan from the unexpected soreness in his body.

Chase flew towards the slums until he found the building that Keleth had spoken of. Once there he took Keleth inside and laid him on the bed. Then he ran into his underground lair in the sewers and trained till he fell asleep. His confrontation with Keleth and the lady had shown him he needed more training.
He visited Keleth again the next day and found him stirring. Finally Keleth woke up and and whispered Chase's name. "So your finally awake." Said Chase in a joking tone, "Took you long enough. I was about to leave." Chase carefully manipulated his words so that it sounded as if he had been there all night when in reality he had been training. However it was always easier to bend the truth then to outright lie.

Keleth nodded as he smiled and almost laugh, he must have had a quite a night, "Man I must have destroyed you in our little duel....but seriously how bad was I. You seemed to be one step ahead of me....I just don't know what happen after you casted sleep on me!" He spoke with a little joy in his voice, he was trying to be think positive. Though he was in pain but was glad he was able to be in his bed, was Chase really here all night with him, he had to be since the way Chase made it sound. He lifted his shoulders and then his body out of his bed and gave a little stretch.

Chase wondered how much he should tell Keleth of what conspired after he had fallen unconscious. Finally he decided that there was little point in hiding the truth since Keleth's mother might tell him anyway. "Well," Chase started pretending to be uncertain of how to continue, "You were fine at fighting. About as much as I expected. The problem came when you gave in to your demon. It started using your life-force to energize his spells. Which in case you don't know is incredibly unhealthy." Chase spoke the entire speech as if he deeply cared about Keleth's hurts and thought that him giving into his demon was an incredibly sad occasion. After all he wanted Keleth to think of him as a friend.
Chase decided to give Keleth some more 'friendly' advice. "Look I am sure that the power your demon offers seems amazing but believe me its not worth it. Anything the demon can do you can do with a little bit of training. Don't try to reach for power if it means sacrificing yourself. Only use the demon when you have no other choice" Chase found his most recent speech almost laughable. Sure he almost meant parts of it but other parts where ridiculous. Keleth would never gain the power the demon had offered. It was why Chase had added the final piece of advice about only using the demon when absolutely necessary. Just in case Chase wanted to use the demon's power again.

Keleth broke the one rule his teacher rose taught him, to never let the power control you for it could kill you. But he didn't even know it happened like that, all he knew was that he was trying to fight the sleep. Looking at Chase who seemed to care about him as a friend he smiled and nodded to his speech about this whole inner demon thing, "Sorry, I didn't even know it happen, i was fighting trying to wake up from that sleep and next thing I know i'm here. But I should learn to control myself. Thanks a lot. You are the only person who has treated me like a friend since i entered the slums when I was a kid. My village in the forest was burned and most kids just ran off toward the nearest thing they could find and that were the slums. I had no family or anyone to take care of me. I owe you my life. Name anything that you need help with and I'll do it! My debt to you!" Keleth spoke as he told his reason why the his demon had took control of him and then began to talk about his past. Though Keleth was strong as he kept his smiling as he told the story and then offered himself to do what ever for Chase to repay him for saving his life.

Chase pretended to be interested as Keleth spilled out his life story to him. He was however interested in the last part about doing anything for Chase. Chase knew that Keleth was his now. However he didn't want to hurry and lose Keleth's trust so he decided not to ask anything of Keleth yet. "Don't worry" He said "For now all I want you to do is rest. If you want to get better then you will have to get some sleep"
Chase made sure that his face and voice sounded sincere the entire time. It would be a waste if he went through all this trouble only to have it ruined now. Still he knew he was worrying about nothing. Keleth was still too exhausted to notice anything and Chase himself never made mistakes when he was lying.

Keleth nodded to Chase and decided that he should get some more rest if he wanted to do magic again. Smiling he laughed, "You sound like a mother telling me that I need rest..." He spoke as he then relized he really didn't have a mother after the attack on his village. Letting go of the memory he kept smiling and got back into the old bed he had and just stared at the ceiling wondering what he would do in the next few days. "Guess I should get some more sleep then, huh?" He spoke out toward Chase wondering to see if he would tell him to get more sleep.

Chase wondered how to respond to Keleth's most recent comments. He was getting annoyed at having to carry on this discussion. Finally he decided to go ahead and say, "Yes you do need more sleep and I am obviously not helping things by sitting here distracting you. I think it would be better if I left. Just make sure not to overextend yourself I'll try to visit in a couple of days."
With that Chase walked out of the room into the sunlight outside. Now at last he was free to go and train some more in his underground lair. He had already wasted enough time. Still he knew it had been worth it since he now had an ally who practically worshiped him. The possibilities were endless. Chase entered his lair thinking of ways to use Keleth to farther his own ends.
