Arthur sighed, as the third jester that day stole his mask. He had been trying so hard to stay anonymous this week, and until the jesters had arrived he had been succeeding. Unfortunately, they always seemed to know exactly where he was, and always waited until the oppurtune moment- when there were hoards of onlookers- to unveil him.
Arthur grabbed at air as the jester who had been holding the mask out for him, snatched his hand away again, quick as a flash. As a child Arthur had loved watching the fools play their tricks, but now that he was older and their victim, it wasn;t so much fun.
"Here you go!" Said an unfamiliar voice, and Arthur turned to find a masked stranger holding out his mask. "How did you manage...?" Arthur asked increduously.

If you were to look up at the castle today, you would find a very strange sight indeed...
For this day marks the beginning of a week of incredible celebrations and everyone is invited- whether you are noble or not.
The streets are filled with people in disguise. Men are dressed as women and women as men, peasants are dolled up in finery while their counterparts dull themselves down, for this is the one week of the year when class or faction matters to no one, and the only rule? You must wear a mask.
Acrobats cartwheel through hallways, musicians play in the gardens and poets recite their works from carts being driven around the city.
Who knows what will happen over the next 7 days?

The troubadours are a group of the finest musicians in all of Albion and were a must have for Uther's party. Made up of flute, fiddle, lute and lyre, the group play beautiful songs that tell stories of old without need for lyrics.
On the first night of the celebratory week, the troubadors set themselves up around a small campfire, inviting the passers by to join them, and listen to the beautiful music that their fingers played.

This is excellent! I really like your different take on training- not many people choose to cover healing and you made it interesting too!
Well done!

Arthur was fuming. Merlin was supposed to have taken his armour to the training ground hours ago, but being the useless oaf that he was, he had forgotten, and now Arthur was having to do it himself. With great difficulty. His arms were laden with the heavy equipment, and trying to see where he was going was more or less impossible. He knew when he had found the stairs though, for he stumbled on the top step, and sent the pile of armour tumbling down it.
A low growl emitted from Arthur's throat and he stomped down the steps, picking up the dropped mail and greaves on his way. This was absolutely no way to spend his day off...
"Oh here, let me help you!" send an unfamiliar voice. Arthur glanced up, not recognising the face before him. It was unusual to find a stranger in the castle, and narrowing his eyes Arthur laid the freshly rescued armour back on the stairs.
"And who exactly are you?" He asked, folding his arms and furrowing his brow.

Hello everybody! Hope your all well... This is just a quick post to welcome Nicola (Casalyn Laymont, Sir Tristan de Braose and Nimiane Aragon) to our moderator team as her new character Morgause! For those who watch the show (and even those who don't), have a quick look over her app just to see exactly what is and isn't known about her on this site- as it doesnt quite match the tv show. She's been an active member for a long time, even though she was very busy over the summer, and I'm sure she's going to fit right in with the team, and come up with some excellent ideas for the site Her "area of moderation" is the "Forest of Balor" and she will be keeping an eye on everything that goes on in there... Good Luck!!

Hi Adela, welcome to the site! Thanks for moving your application- I've had a read and theres just a couple of things before i can accept it... Firstly your history and sample RP are written in first person, whereas we write in third person ( eg "Adela walked down the street and clapped her hands"). Also be careful to watch spelling and grammar, while we dont expect everyone to be perfect, spell check does come in handy! Finally, if possible it would be great if you can find an avatar/play by. Let us know if you need any help! Once you've made the changes, i'll have another read! Once

Arthur frowned down at Sophia in surprise as she snapped at him. He had always thought her to be quite mild mannered, and impatience was not a trait he would have guessed her to have. Still he understood that it must be frustrating to be in her position right about now, and so he started to speak again.
"You see, the magic is..." Once again, something rapped against the back of his head, and in a fury Arthur span round, eyes wide and wild. "NOW WHAT!?" He half yelled in annoyance, stamping his feet like an angry child. He just caught sight of something dropping to the floor. It was a spoon.
Arthur stooped down and picked up the utensil (which was now still), turning back to Sophia with a slightly smug expression on his face. It was going to be very easy to show her now, that it was her magic that caused things to happen around her.
"You see Sophia, the magician is you." He sat down on a nearby stool and held the spoon up to her. "I seem to remember that there was a couple of these causing havoc in the dining hall?" He dropped it to the floor inbetween them and continued his plan.
"You're too stupid and naive to realised that it's your own fault that bad things keep happening around you. You get upset over the most trivial little things and boom! Something explodes or breaks. Can't you see that while your standing there terrified of magic, its you who can't stop using it?! Grow UP!" His intention was to rile the princess so much that her emotions stirred the spoon on the floor, but as he waited, he suddently began to notice nothing was happening. Oh dear...
