Dreamer cursed as he took a wrong step and his feet started to fall forward. He was lucky to gain his balance back. He may have been fast, but he wasn't exactly the strongest character out there. Dreamer concentrated as hard as he could to walk through the storm. He was kind of lucky she hadn't move, but was worried as to why.
Maybe when he spoke Calm in his spell he had accidentally paralyzed her. The fear gripped his chest as he walked slowly closer and closer the the village. A small form started to approach them and grow larger with each step, the girls father. Dreamer started to take in account the size the man had on him, it was intimidating.
The man asked what had happened, and Dreamer fought for the words to speak. Looking down, Dreamer saw the girl rolling her eyes and smiling. That was another fear that Dreamer had tried to ignore. Had he accidentally caused mental damage to the girl, or even failed to fix it when he could. It was unnoticeable, cause he was dripping with sweat, but dreamer was actually sweating from both fear and physical strain.
When her father finally took the girl from his arms, Dreamer felt like he was going to drop there. His arms burned and his head felt like it had been smashed like a hammer. Dreamer had nothing else to do but follow the man as he rushed away, his feet carrying behind the two of them.
Dreamer didn't notice the cold until they entered the village. He had forgotten both his shirt and his coat back at the bank. It was too late for them now, and he doubted that his spare's inside his sack had survived the harsh weather. Dreamer only hoped that his bags were where he placed them or somewhere safe, it was his life in those bags.

"What are you doing?"
The words startled him and his hands flew up defensively. He held them, palms up, to show he meant no harm. Of course, he was slightly flustered so his words didn't really come out very very. It was more gibberish than anything, "No no no no no no no no I..I..uhhh..i was...oh please...i was...uhhh" Dreamer didn't exactly want to tell this girl he had used magic. He knew that Magic was still a source of evil in many people's hearts, because they feared it.
Then again, if he didn't come up with a good reason, he would most likely get beaten to death by the father of the woman. "Crap" he thought, his vacation wasn't turning out as planned. Dreamer decided to just try and skip the whole misunderstanding, and hope the woman forgot about it.
He had noticed she was having a hard time moving, which was a slightly less disasterous problem. Dreamer stood slowly and then bent down to slowly pick her up by her lower back and legs. He was frantically explaining he meant no harm as he did this. With the young woman now in somewhat control of her body, she was less dead weight. Which made it slightly easier to lift her and carry her.
Dreamer prayed she wouldn't scream.

Dreamer didn't know what drew him towards the small village, and didn't really care to much.
He was at the brink of his stress level,a rare event for all he had been through. Keeping up his studying in the Magicians Guild and pulling night shifts at The Ram to support himself. Dreamer hadn't expected things to be as difficult as they were, and felt he just needed a break to get away.
So, gathering his things he requested the night off to venture away from Camelot for a rest day. It cost him a whole nights pay, but Dreamer felt it was well worth it. The guild didn't seem to care that he would be away, he wasn't forced to be there,It was Dreamer's choice.
So he followed where his feet led him, and for most of the day he traveled until he came upon the village. Dreamer thought his countryside trip would be a welcoming experience, which was quiet different from reality. People were bustling about, some staring off into the sea for moments at a time. Dreamer looked toward where they were staring, and Dreamer saw it.
The storm
"KATLYN! KATLYN" a man was screaming at the top of his lungs, searching frantically for someone. Dreamer approached the man, along with a few other men. The man seemed to see a familiar face and approached quickly, "Jack! Have you seen Katlyn, i cant find her anywhere". Jack looked confused, "That's funny, cause i just saw her down by the bank".
At that moment a large bolt of lightning cracked, striking somewhere off by the bank. The man turned pale white, and attempted to run for it. The men pulled him back though, and try as he may, the man couldn't go free. Without a thought, Dreamer dropped his bags and ran towards the storm.
It took him ten minutes, and in that time the storm had grown rougher. Dreamer could feel wind and rain beating against his clothes, trying to stop him from approaching. It didnt take long for Dreamer to find the young woman on the bank. She was sprawled out and shaking uncontrollably, in dire need of assistance.
Dreamer swore, he hadn't been faced with a problem quiet like Katlyns. He tried to pick her up, but with the storm on top of them he was not strong enough to carry her back. Dreamer tried removing his coat and his shirt, the two uneccessary pieces of cloth weighting him down. Still, he could not carry her the whole way to the village.
He would have to help here there.
Dreamer put his shirt underneath the woman's head, trying to make her more comfortable. Taking his hands, he placed them as best he could against her bare stomach and forehead. It was difficult with her thrashing around, but he was able to keep his hands there. Then, he began to sing his magic into the young woman.
Be calm, be still Fear nothing from the thrill Be calm, be still I command you with my will Be calm, be still Heal
Dreamer knew the words were makeshift, but he hadnt exactly planned on the event. Plus with the storm raging on them, Dreamer was suprised his mind was working right at all. Dreamer felt his magic start to work its way from his fingers into the womans body. Soon, Her body started to grow calm and ceased its thrashing.
Then, her eyes opened quickly.
Too quick for Dreamer to pull his hands away from her bare skin.

Dreamer giggled like a child when Merlin gave in and agreed to let Dreamer inspect the stone. Unfortunately the rest of the conversation had not gone as Dreamer had planned. As Merlin took the stone away to put back in the pouch, Dreamer almost cried. It was only when Merlin gave Dreamer the pouch back, with the stone in it of course, that Dreamer cheered up again.
Dreamer wondered if Merlin had actually asked him if they were going to put it into the vault or not. Either way, He had grabbed a torch and started to lead Dreamer out of the now dark Room. Dreamer hadn't exactly been paying attention when the room went dark, so he instinctively casted a light spell.
Light Bright Take up flight
Dreamer was better at controlling how much he put into a spell now, so the light he caste was a miniature ball that casted enough light to surround him. It hovered comfortable out of the way above his shoulder, and stayed there. Dreamer smiled, he knew his magic was improving fast, and something inside him always happily stirred when he saw it for himself.
Dreamer noticed Merlin was down the hall now, and almost around a corner. He stopped daydreaming, for a minute, and packed the box he had before in one of his bags and slung them over his shoulder. He had two bags, one with his few possessions and one with his violin. Dreamer didn't have much, so he didn't see a point in leaving them wherever he may have stayed the night before.
Dreamer caught up to Merlin quickly down the hall and smiled at him, the pouch still in his hand. Dreamer petted the pouch, feeling the stone's warmth threw the fabric. Dreamer was finding himself more attracted to the artifact than any other mystery he had discovered.

Dreamer looked down at the strange green stone that Merlin held out in front of him. Even without touching it, Dreamer could feel the magic coming off of it. He recognized it, it was the source of the magic he had felt a moment ago, not Merlin. Instinctively, Dreamer became curious with the massive object, and set down the box in his hands.
"It's...It's", Dreamer took the stone from Merlin gladly. He was surprised at the weight, which was slightly lighter than he anticipated. He almost giggled as he held it, "Beautiful" he said, finishing his sentence. Dreamer rubbed the surface of it, it was fantastic. Dreamer could feel something else from it that he couldn't quiet place. It was obviously magic, but nothing Dark.
It seemed to throb with Life.
Thinking out loud he said, "It's not evil, its...happy" Dreamer said. Dreamer pulled his eyes away from the stone, with much effort, and started at Merlin. A wide grin on his face, "Are you sure we cant spend five minutes more inspecting this...this..." Dreamer couldn't even put a name to it. "Please...Please...Please..." he said over and over.
He was like a little kid with a new toy.

Dreamer was looking the other way when he nodded at Merlin's suggestion. When he turned his head, he barely caught the box with his hand, bringing it safely into his chest. He sighed, relived that he hadn't accidentally dropped, and possibly destroyed, the box. He didn't want to know what the consequences of such a mistake would be.
Dreamer set the box down so that he may rub the sand from his eyes. Shaking his head and pulling his hair back behind his ear, he began his inspection of the wooden box. It was rather large, not too large, enough that he needed both hands to carry. It was light though, contrary to its size. Dreamer shook the box, there was defiantly something in it.
Dreamer inspected the lock, and subconsciously figured out which devices he could use to open it. Dreamer looked away then, and back at Merlin with a guilty look of shame on his face. It was only for a moment though, cause he had to pay attention to the box. His life of thievery was behind him, or so he hoped. Maybe if he just picked this one lock, he wouldn't ever do it again. He was rather curious as to its contents.
Dreamer felt a wave of magic rush over the room, but did not look over at Merlin. He dismissed the source as being Merlin, using his magic to discover what is item was or to get to it. Anyways, he probably wouldn't have looked over if there was any other source, he was too curious with the task at hand.
Dreamer decided he would have to wait, seeing as there was no key. Dreamer rose from his seat and picked the box up with his hands. "Its a box, but i cant seem to determine its contents" he said, "I can open it later, if you wish" he said.

Dreamer rose quickly when he heard the pendant crashing into the pile of junk behind merlins desk. Merlin may have not noticed, but Dreamer did find a magical item. They were a pair of glasses that made the wearer look as if he were awake. They were fasinating, and Dreamer had unintentinaly used them for their designated purpose.
Dreamer looked around, the glasses now in his hand from ripping them off. Then he looked at Merlin and gave him a guilty grin, "Sorry, i must have dozed off". Dreamer sat back down and set the glasses beside him down. He looked back at the book before him, and then look back up. "What time is it?"

Dreamer didn't know when he had lost Casalyn, or exactly how he managed to do it. All he remembered was that he ran as fast as he could, trying to hold onto her, and when he stopped and planted his back against the tree, she was gone. He started quietly freaking out, looking around frantically. He turned around and saw her, he could have cried he was so happy.
She caught up to him, and he assumed she must have fell. She had dirt all over her clothes and leaves in her hair. She didn't seem to mind, which was rather intelligent considering the situation they were currently in. He took her hand and they started running again, although he noticed she seemed rather sluggish.
He didn't need to know at that moment, they were running for their lives.
Wow, your a quick runner.Did we loose it?
Her words were whispered, but he could still hear her over the sound of their crunching feet. He ignored the compliment and decided not to turn around, and instead kept a steady pace that Casalynn could keep up in. He held her hand tightly so that he wouldn't lose her again.
They ran to the edges of the forest and beyond until they hit the road that led back to Camelot. That is where Dreamer finally stopped and turned, his eyes scanning for a beast that wasn't there. He breathed in a sigh of relief, and then let his body drop so that he was laying down on his back, panting.

Dreamer had a terrible feeling as they ventured deeper into the dark forest. It was murky, and darkness rained all to easily around them. He wanted to conjure a light so bad, but he didn't want to expose himself to Casalynn. He had exposed himself once, but that was for a good reason, he would not do it again unless needed.
Funny how soon that time came.
Dreamer heard snapping, and a low rumble of growling send shivers down his back. He almost didn't turn his body, mostly out of fear for what he didn't want to see. He saw Casalynn move though, and she couldn't face whatever it was alone.
Then again, he hadn't expected to see what he did
A large beast he didn't want to have to describe to himself. It was ferocious, with a look of murder in its eyes. They must have trespassed in its territory and mistook them for hunters. Dreamer wished he had a sword, even if he didn't know how to use it. At least then, he would have something to defend them with.
Technically he did though, that was the problem.
There lives were in danger and Dreamer still felt worried about giving away his secret. His hands started to get sweaty as he reached out and grasped Casalynn's out of fear. He started to back up and Bring Casalynn with him. Unfortunately, for every one step they took the beast took two.
There was only one option
"Crap" Dreamer said aloud, he stepped forward, causing the beast to look at him cautiously. "Close your eyes quick and don't open them until i say run" Dreamer whispered it once and only once. He was serious, Fear driving his voice to desperate tone.
Dreamer didn't wait, he had done this spell before and remembered what to do. Closing his eyes, he sang.
Flash of Light In this misty night Take away the sight To avoid its fight
A burst of light erupted, catching the beast off guard. It reared up in pain before charging blindly at them. "RUN!" Dreamer screamed, not even waiting he pulled Casalynn along with him. The beast almost hit them, missing by inches, and ran past them as they sped in the opposite direction back from where they came.

Dreamer walked alongside Casalynn, trusting that she knew where she was going. He actually didn't feel nervous until they started to depart from the Castle walls. He wanted to ask where they were going, but she kept reassuring him that she knew where they were going.
The walk was nice, the air fresher and the smells of nature surrounding them. He had almost forgot what it was like to walk on an open road. Of course, he had to realize they were walking into a forest. He heard about the area, it was supposed to hold many dangerous magical creatures. He was always curious about following the path into the forest, but something always seemed to come up and take his time.
It was good to be Free
So, why do people call you Dreamer? I'm assuming that isn't your real name?
"In a sense it is my real name" he said, giggling. He had often run into the same question throughout his stay in Camelot. "It it my given name from my people, my caravan, they said i could make people see and feel as i wish through my "gifts"giving them my Dream's".
Dreamer giggled at that too, it was an absurd concept. He couldn't give Dreams to people, at least he didn't think he did, people tended to over-exaggerate his abilities.

Dreamer left the Ram with his head hung low again. Not out of guilt, shame, or even disappointment. In fact, the crowd seemed to fluctuate each night and he met new people each time he played. No, it was memories that were bringing him down this night. He saw flashes of his old caravan, his mother, and Scarlet.
His heart longed to see them, to hear there voices and feel their warm embraces. He wished to so them so dearly, but his place was in Camelot. He had not been there long, and he wouldn't duck out of his future. He was doing well in Camelot, learning his letters, practicing his magic, and earning a steady income from playing at The Ram. Life was good to Dreamer, and he couldn't help wondering what it would cost one day.
Because everything had a price
Dreamer was walking along the side streets of the deserted Camelot. The moon had cast her shadow over Camelot and its people were sleeping soundlessly in their beds. Comfortable with their lives and ready to get back to them when the sun returned the next day.
At least, mostly everyone
Dreamer was walking nearby an alley when he heard a woman crying. Curious, Dreamer advanced into the alley to see what the problem was. Dreamer found, deep in the alley, a man standing over a cowering woman. His words were hard to make out, not from distance, but because his words slung with drunkenness.
"You zink you can zust...Che-at on meee do ya".
The woman was crying, pleading for him to stop.
"No, you want'z me to stop, you know what you have to do, everything haz a price baby".
The irony rested coldly in Dreamers throat.
Dreamer knew he had to do something and something fast. He plunged into the depths of the dark alley, the sound of his feet causing the man to turn and face him. He couldn’t get a word out before Dreamer was in the air and bringing the full force of his fist into the man’s face. Grabbing a hold of the man’s shirt, Dreamer landed on the man’s stomach, knocking the wind out of him. Dreamer lost it; his fists were on the man in quick succession.
After three blows to the face, the man was moaning and Dreamer was able to grab him by the collar of his shirt and speak threatingly, “How does it feel you vile Scum”. Dreamer slapped the man, who was now crying the whisky from his system. Dreamer didn’t know what had come over him, but he hated this man with such a passion that burned deep within him. Dreamer looked over at the woman, who was now cowering into the wall, staring at him. Dreamer looked back at the man, the vile waste of life, and sang.
You evil man, what have you done I will banish you away, with the words to be sung A flash will go off, and then away we will be Just her and me
Dreamer’s eyes burned gold, his already golden one even brighter, as the first spell dent off a brilliant flash of light erupting thought the alley light it for all around to see. The man was blinded, only temporarily, since he had been cowering under the strange boy, Dreamer. The woman had he eyes down in fear, and had not noticed him, so she was unaffected.
The second spell was a spell on time. Dreamer didn't know exactly what he did, did he slow them down or speed himself up? Whatever it was, Dreamer ran for the woman and lifted her up. She was light, surprisingly light, and he was able to lift her onto her back and run away.
As Dreamer left the alley the spell ended, and Dreamer ran down the street. They were home free, the woman crying into his shoulder. He was happy and scared, not only had his magic come to him instinctively, but he had felt such a powerful rage for the man. Dreamer didn't feel proud of that fact, but at least he had saved the woman and done some good.
Now, all he had to do was explain himself to the guard coming down the street.
*Finished* XD

Dreamer took a glance at Casalynn before returning his eyes forward. He couldn't help letting out a sigh of relief, not to loud, at the assumption that she had not heard what the bartender said. Unfortunately, now that he thought about it, the rest of the bar must have heard him. Oh the things they must be thinking, Dreamer didn't want to imagine what the people believed the bet was about. He also prayed Smith wasn't a man to bet and tell.
Wow, what a nice night. Would you like to walk with me?
When he looked at back at Casalynn, shaken from his own thoughts, he smiled and nodded. He took a spot at her side and walked when she began to walk. She had a tendency to look up at the moon, he noticed. He took a gaze for a moment, and then back down, waiting for Casalynn to begin the conversation, if any.

Crash!
Dreamer opened his eyes to the blunt pain he felt in his head and the pressure on his arm from his body. It took him a moment to remember where he was, his eyes scanning the darkness for clues. It was only after he picked himself up that he remembered he was in an upstairs room at the Magicians guild.
Dreamer picked up the chair he had been reading, or rather sleeping, in. Then he scanned the room for his book that he had been trying to read. Ever since he arrived to the guild he had been studying his letters with slow, and sometimes no, progress. He was determined though, he would succeed.
As soon as he found that book.
He scanned the room, but to no avail. It was too dark to see anything so mundane in the upstairs room, even with the shades open and the moon's light seeping in. Dreamer almost smacked himself for not bringing in a lantern to guide him. Unfortunately, in the midst of his excitement he had not thought about that.
He sighed, it seemed to be a lost cause. He made his way to sit down, but missed and fell on his bottom. He sucked in a breath as he tried not to yelp from surprise. Picking himself up, he rubbed his sore bottom. Dreamer wished he had a light, if only so that he wouldn't kill himself walking down the steps.
He sighed and felt for his seat so that he could sit down. He rested his head down on the edge of the table in front of him, thinking. His thoughts soon led to the Ram, where he performed. After a moment his thoughts drifted to his wishes to sing for his audience, but his magic seemed to be in the way.
Sing? Magic? Eureka!
Dreamer almost jumped from his seat in excitement. He could sing a light, or at least, try. The thought of it didn't seem to scare him this time. Usually his magic scared him, but he would only be conjuring a light, nothing harmful. Dreamer tried calming himself down as he closed his eyes, his magic flowing threw his voice.
Oh darkest night I feel your blight you've hindered my sight now i fight you ,with light
Dreamer could feel the magic coursing threw him and out into a conjured physical form of magic. He kept his eyes open for a moment before opening them for a peek, and then closing them again. Dreamer put too much into the light, and it shined much brighter than he expected. He wished the light were dimmer, and suddenly it was.
He opened his eyes again, and he could see the room as if it were midday. He scanned the room again and found his book in a moment. He Jumped with glee and grabbed it, setting it on a shelf nearby. When he pushed the chair back and gathered his bags, he was gone from the magicans guild. His light left him as soon as he escaped the doors, no longer needed.

Dreamer had also noticed Prying eyes watching them, eavesdropping on their conversation. If they continued, suspicious would defiantly rise of Dreamer talent in music. Dreamer didn't want people believing it was him magic playing the music when it was him. He wanted to leave, but also didnt want to let go of his secret so easily.
Smith must have seen his conflicted face because he walked over and took their glasses. "I Think you've had enough for one night Dreamer, get some air", he made it seem like Dreamer had become drunk from excess drinking. Dreamer opened his mouth, then closed it and nodded. Dreamer helped Casalynn out of her chair with his hand and pushed it back in, walking her outside.
As they were walking through the door Dreamer could hear, "And don't you go Forgetting about our bet boy!" the voice was too comical to be anyone but Smith. Dreamer shuddered as the memory of it hit him.
