The smooth gait of her running horse was relaxing, almost calming now that she was out of the city walls. Although she had only been in Camelot for a day now, Elizabeth felt almost trapped. It was not the kind of life she had been used to for so long, and it felt rather confining. And so far, not to many opportunities to explore the countryside had presented themselves. It was hard and almost constant work in the stables, with so many horses and people and complaints to attend to.
But the weird part was, everyone seemed so shocked that she was the Stable Master. Simply because she was a woman. Admittedly, it had probably never happened before, but that didn't occur to Elizabeth right away. After all, her entire life had been spent in her own country, where she was known and generally respected. Not that these wasn't respected here, it was just that she had to almost struggle for it.
At least to day she had a chance to clear her head a bit. Her steel gray stallion galloped along the road, churning up the ground as her went. Long, dark hair fell back behind her, slapping against the back of her black riding jacket. the insulating leather was keeping her quite warm today, especially considering that she was only wear a simply gray cotton shirt underneath it. Tall leather boots rose to her thighs, laced up the back and held in place be a few straps and buckles at the top.
to complete her outfit, two leather scabbards housed her blades, slung low on a studded belt around her waist. As the landscape sped past, Elizabeth turned her steed slightly, angling him to wards a road leading off into the forest. with a slight pull on the reins, Greere slowed to a trot, ears pricked at the new surroundings. A slow smile spread across the woman's face as she looked around the quiet forest. both her and her horse were exhilarated, their headlong gallop fueling them with energy. Making a snap decision, Elizabeth swung her leg around and landed softly on the ground, matching pace with the stallion as she brought him down to a walk.

Chase was once more in the woods. He was actually starting to think that he was spending to much time in them. There had to be somewhere else he could train. Though he wasn't even training at the moment. He had decided that he needed to take a slight break from his exertions and had decided to explore the woods more. You never knew what you could run across. Chase smiled remembering his encounter with Tristan and the bandits they had fought off. Now that had been fun.
He had been exploring for around two hours when a horse rider came galloping towards him. From the brief glance he had of the rider it appeared to be a young women. The horse came to a rest and the women dismounted. She started walking the horse towards him.
Chase debated whether to hide or not. He didn't particularly want to meet anyone today but realized that there was no way to get away without her seeing him. He started climbing the hill to his left. Maybe she would leave him alone if he projected an air of uncaring or acted like he hadn't seen her. Even if it didn't work Chase felt sure he could get rid of some pesky girl.

As her horse slowed to a walk, stepping carefully next to her, Elizabeth took a moment to look around. In a heartbeat, her eyes alighted to a figure making its way up the hill just a little way away from her. A few thoughts ran through her head, presenting her with some options. She could always simply ignore him and keep walking. But why should she? After all, she was new here and almost eager to meet people. Plus, she wasn't working right now and it was as good a time as any to get acquainted with someone.
Lifting her left hand from it's light perch on the hilt of her blade, she waved slightly at the figure. "Hello there," she called, her voice open and rather friendly. It was a generic enough greeting, and something that she hoped this stranger would respond to. As she spoke, Elizabeth kept walking along the path, drawing up level with the man. Greere tossed his head, his nostrils wide as he let out a little snort. With a gentle hand, Elizabeth reached out and patted his nose, the corner of her mouth twitching into a slight grin.

Chase was just feeling confident that the woman had missed him or decided to pass by when she called out a greeting to him. How annoying. All he wanted to do at the moment was go on his way without the constant annoyance of other people. After all so few of them were even worth meeting and out of those even less were smart enough to understand him. It was one of the hazards of being a genius, the rest of the world bored you.
He kept hiking up the hill as the woman gradually got up to him leading her horse behind her. Well apperantly his blatant ignoring of her greeting hadn't stopped her. When she finally got up to him he sighed and said "What do you want." In a tone that made it very clear he didn't want to talk to her. Why oh why was he always bothered by such ignorant and stupid people.

Elizabeth was taken slightly aback at the strangers' response to her. She really hadn't expected someone to be so downright rude to her. After all, she had so far done nothing to merit that kind of reaction. Of course, she could always just let it go and move on, but she did not feel like letting this one slide.
Keeping her norther accent out of her voice, she spoke again, all of the friendliness gone. "Are you always so charming?" she said icily, her hands on her hips. Behind her, the stallion pricked up his ears and looked on in interest. He could sense the contempt around Elizabeth, as she stood there glaring at the figure.

Chase waited for the woman's reaction to his blatantly obvious dislike of her. Hopefully she would leave him alone now. Unfortunately her response showed her to be in almost a bad a mood as he was. He thought he caught a trace of an accent but it was gone before he could identify it.
He almost smiled at her contempt of him. How pathetic."Is it a crime to ask you what you want?" He asked "Really one would almost believe you rude to insult my honor so. Ah well whatever you are just a girl I guess I shouldn't hold my standards so high for you" He said scathingly. He realized how snobby he sounded but was to annoyed at having his peace and quiet interrupted to care.

A dark little smile crept onto Elizabeth's face as the boy in front of her spoke. It was by no means a charming kind of smile, and it never mad it up to her eyes. Regarding him with a cold, hard stare, she turned her head to the side slightly, considering him of a long moment.
"That's right," she said quietly. Elizabeth paused again, letting the silence stretch on for a bit more. "I'm simply a girl. All I could possibly do it mend cloths and cook your meals and such like. How rude and presumptuous of me to assume that you would even think of to speak to a lowly woman like me." When she finished speaking, she took a step back, laying one hand on the hilt of her blade. "I'll remember that next time I see you in Camelot. After all, I'm sure I'll see you around." Elizabeth let her words hang in the air, and glared at the young man as she stood very still, waiting for him to say something. Anything.

Chase grinned at the woman's furious reply. It was so easy to get under her skin that he couldn't help himself. Chances were this woman believed that she was just as good as him. Which while he agreed that women could do anything men could do that didn't mean she was better than him.
He decided to have a little fun with her, "Well have fun remembering me. Just remember you better take me out in some dark alley if you want even a chance of hurting me. After all that sword is heavy if your not careful you could hurt yourself. " The last part was in the same tone that he used to talk to toddlers.
He pulled out one of his knives and kept his hand on the other just in case the woman snapped. Maybe he could teach this overconfident girl a little lesson.

Elizabeth just couldn't believe the gall this boy had. After all, he did look much younger then her. And he was simply going to stand out here, all by himself, and act like he was all high and mighty to her. Like he was just so much better then her.
She took a moment to process his words, deciding what to do next. It would be all to easy to start a fight with him. After all, she hadn't missed him draw his little knife there. And that sly little grin. but why should she fight him? What would that prove? that she could beat him? Well, great, but she already knew that she could. Beyond that, she didn't need the reputation off assaulting young men in the forests. Not really the best way to get off on the right foot around here.
So instead, she took a different root. A slow, glowing smile appeared on her face. Her eyes softened a good bit, but still retained just the slightest bit of anger. "Ah, don't you worry about me," she said in a light tone. Turning around, Elizabeth reached up and grabbed hold of the pommel of her saddle and slipped one foot into the stirrups. As she swung aboard and settled into her seat, she smiled down at the him. "And don't worry about meeting me in a dark alley. Where I come from, we make it a habit to not beat up children."
Raising her lips in a mocking little grin, Elizabeth gently nudged her horse away from the annoying boy and slowly started walking back the way she had came.

Chase was furious. How dare she call him a child! Her threats were pathetic but the gall for her to call him a child! It was the only insult Chase actually cared about. Didn't she realise just how superior he was in every way to her? She was nothing compared to him.
Angrily Chase stormed back up the hill. She would meet him again in some back alley? Then he would be ready for her and he would teach her just how low she was. No one would beat him. Even that Dreamer creep would soon admit that Chase was stronger. Chase would be the one remembered not these ignorant upstart brats who thought they were better then him.
Chase returned to the clearing where he trained. He didn't have time to waste exploring the woods. He would make all those who thought they were superior to him acknowledge his might.
