An AU version of the King Arthur 2004 movie with slight Arthurian Legendary traits.
AFTER BADON HILL
PHASE 1
During Phase 1 there will be NO use of extreme magick, only to the sorceress, wizard [sorcerer], and the beginnings of the 'Witch of the North'. All other legendary magicks are NOT available at this time. Magick will be limited, will be prohibited by catholic law as the work of satan, and anyone thought to be doing such things can by tried on this.
However small things are allowed of normal people by use of astrology, runes, local medicine man/woman, and tarot. To become a Seer you must ask an admin unless the position is open on the 'Canon-list'. It'd be wise to look there before PMing an admin, or making an application.
It is the Year of Our Lord 468 A.D.
After the defeat of the Saxons that attempted to breach through Hadrian Wall into Roman conquered Britain. A year has passed with quite a rocky, and unsettled air of tranquility that could at any moment dissipate into warfare. Leaving the Britons both rejoicing and awaiting this cascade to assail them. The newly crowned King of all Britain: King Arthur Pendragon {formerly known as Artorius Castus}, has settled into the life of a Noble in a newly founded Country. A man with a single goal: To unite Britian, and that all men are free men.
To begin this attempt at both equality and pacifism, Arthur has severed his ties with the Roman Empire. He himself a King now, must work diligently hard to show himself more than Officer, and more than a Knight but as a King. To lead his people into a world that life is won and lived by the sword. However there is a problematic chaos on a more genteel side for the new King: He has no Queen. But no Queen shall be the least of his problems.
With Saxon forces growing once more to the North, the Roman Empire hounding the King for return to lands they had slaughtered. To the East the rest of Europe conquered by the Romans looms with impending death at the command of their masters. As to the West there is but the emerald isles that could in a way be more than just the luck of the Irish. But there is a magick growing from the West, something far more special than any sword in a stone.
Surrounded by enemies, a hand full of the strongest Knights at his call. The home of Arthur Pendragon over-run by lesser lords daughters in hopes their greedy paws will become Queens. Assassins at every corner, God and Faith seeming to wain. Woads unsettled, Britains in fear, the Scottish amassing to help the Saxon hordes, Roman emissaries a constant headache and still those Emerald Isles gleam.
In truth whatever will happen? I shall tell you now:
Before Myth became legend or was it that legend became Myth? Either or.
The story of Arthur Pendragon, the Knights of the Round Table, and Magick itself have all been true. So whom shall it be to attempt to re-write history and keep Arthur from bringing to life the surreal world? Who can stop Arthur before he creates....Camelot?
