Hi everyone,
Just a quick note!
We have found that their are some errors showing up in posts if you happen to write the posts out in microsoft word (or other text editors).
Basically, we find that characters such as " (and various others) show up as weird combinations of ^|@ etc
Morgana first had this problem and i believe (please correct me if im wrong!) that it was solved by following these instructions:
If you DO write your posts in text editors dont worry! The problem is coming from the fact that Word etc use a special rich text format and proboards does not....
Best suggestion if you want to copy from Word is to turn off all of
works auto formatting that will convert straight quotes to "smart
quotes"(sorry for the web jargon
) Look under "Auto Format" and "Auto Correct" for the settings.
You shouldn't have any problems if you use wordpad or notepad!
Obviously let me know if you have any problems!
