Slowly turning his head to face her, Greere blew out a long breath toward Elizabeth. A soft smile on her face, she reached out and rubbed his ears, gently slipping his bridle over his nose. Leading the stallion out of his stall, she brought him out into the almost deserted courtyard. It was to early in the morning for most people to be up but Elizabeth had a job to do. She was meeting a mage today, Dreamer, to go and find a missing person. So she had rose early, forgoing her army training to get ready.
Tethering her horse to one of the railings by the stable, she went back inside and gathered her things. A brush, and her horse's tack, along with her saddlebags filled with provisions for the day. Setting them on the fence rail, she started brushing her horse, making his gray coat look like polished metal. Pretty soon now, Dreamer should arrive and they could get underway.

Where as Elizabeth had taken the time to properly prepare for the Quest, Dreamer had not. In fact, he had not been notified of it until an hour earlier, giving him little time to prepare. Dreamer had fallen asleep in his study at the top floor of the guild, again, and had been given the assignment by a small apprentice who ran after the quest was bestowed upon him. With reason of course, ever since the incident after Dante's death when Dreamer black magic had awoken inside him, Dreamer's unpopular image only grew darker.
Dreamer ran into the courtyard, as prepared as he could be at the moments notice. Dreamer was dressed in his regular attire, somewhat that is. He still dressed in white, except it was slightly dirty, because it was what he had worn since yesterday. He didn't have any of his jewelry on, aside from his earrings. On his left bicep was a holster for four throwing knives. He had modified his belt, again, with some help from the local Tailor. On the right side there were three daggers, light enough to throw, tough enough to fight with. On the left side was a few pouches to carry his smaller possessions, and another dagger. Hidden under his loose breaches on his right leg was another dagger, this one was smaller though.
With his attire in check, Dreamer was running into the courtyard to find it almost deserted. He found only a single horse, and grew scared, what if his companion had left already? It was supposed to be a lady by the name of Elizabeth, someone he knew nothing about. It could be possible, even though he was only late a tad bit. Dreamer looked around frantically, looking much like his age.

Elizabeth had to take a moment. She looked at the person who ran into the courtyard, and then looked away, continuing to ready her horse. But then she looked back. Was this the mage she was supposed to be working with? He looked like a child, not someone powerful enough to keep up with her. Especially today, since they didn't really know what they were up against of how long they would be on this hunt.
"You there," she called across the courtyard to him. "Are you Dreamer?" He did look slightly like a magic user, dressed in all white as he was. Elizabeth was starkly different, with her high boots, sweeping leather jacket and black corset.

"You there...Are you Dreamer?"
Dreamer was often much more perceptive, but his early start and his rush to find his comrade had taken his attention away. When Elizabeth called his name, he swore he may have actually jumped out of his skin. The woman must have been behind the horse and then moved to look at him, because she couldn't have been there before. Nonetheless, he turned to look at the woman whom asked him his name.
And he was surprised
Often he would find warriors in their own comfortable battle attire, but that usually consisted of armor. Although he had no doubt in his mind that what she wore probably did provide protection, it also drew attention to other prominent features of her body. He took a quick glance and his head immediately shot to her face, he refused to be rude to the lady. Although he did feel red in the face, Dreamer wasn't really good with woman.
"Um, yes sorry" Dreamer said as he walked toward her, "The guild only recently told me of the assignment, and i rushed over her as soon as i could". He finally arrived to stand in front of her and asked, "You are Elizabeth, Army soldier, Correct?". Dreamer saw it as obvious that the woman was a warrior, and who else was their besides them? Dreamer was a little cautious though, and opted to ask the question that made his seem stupid now, rather than not ask and be tricked into feeling stupid later.

Dreamer looked almost like a frightened rabbit when Elizabeth spoke to him. And for the life of her, she couldn't understand why. As far as she could tell, she hadn't said anything that would be upsetting to most people. Asking for a person's name wasn't usually cause for alarm, and she wasn't even holding any weapons.
Tilting her head to the side slightly, Elizabeth studied the young man, trying to understand what was going on. He was blushing and acting quiet strange. After a moment, he seemed to calm down and Elizabeth gave up the scrutiny. "Yes, I'm Elizabeth," she confirmed, turning back to her horse as she spoke. Running the brush over his smooth coat a couple more times, she glanced over her shoulder.
"Just go and get your horse saddled, and we'll get underway. I don't want to still be tracking this bugger by the time it gets dark."

"Just go and get your horse saddled, and we'll get underway. I don't want to still be tracking this bugger by the time it gets dark."
Dreamer looked at Elizabeth for a moment, confused, as if unable to fully comprehend what she had just said to him. Then, piece by piece, it all came to him, and he felt like an idiot. Dreamer was many things, most of them questionable towards his sanity. What he wasn't was a Rider, he owned neither a horse, saddle, or even a brush for that matter. Dreamer had never shown much interest in riding a horse, rather preferring to stay on his two feet. As a result, he had little training in riding a horse, none of which was riding alone.
Dreamer didn't know how to present to this woman, this soldier, that he owned neither a horse nor knew how to ride one. He was fully aware that things had not gone well, there was likely no chance in her seeing him as anything but a child. Which was probably better than being seen as a nuisance and being left behind. In the end, he just decided to tell her the truth.
"Miss Elizabeth, I feel rather foolish having to tell you this, i neither own a horse nor have i ridden one myself, i thought they would have informed you of this?"
Oh yea, the mission had yet to even begin, and already he felt foolish.
