Dreamer cried "Don't Move" but Merlin was already frozen. He wasn't immediately worried about these two theives, more the consequences. If he let them leave with any of the treasures from the vault- well, he couldn't even begin to imagine the trouble he would be in with the Guild Elders.
When he saw a hooded assailaint move toward him with a drawn sword he realised the situation was more serious than he had initially thought. An orb shattered above him, and Merlin quickly hissed words that froze the falling shards of glass in place, then with wordless instruction from his outstreched hand, they flew towards the man who had thrown it, a shower of small glassy daggers.
Dreamer was over the other side of the room, where Merlin could hear but not see the second theif.
"They're armed!" Merlin called, although Dreamer had probably gathered that. He had bought himself some time with the shards of glass trick, which he used to cast a protective spell over his body. It would deflect a sword or fist, preventing contact, but it would cost him dearly as the spell would consume his energy to work. he hoped Dreamer would have sense enough to do the same.
Merlin could feel the force of his magic itching to be used and he allowed it, feeling it hum through his veins, his eyes shining a dazzling copper.

Dreamer looked around himself for anything he could use as a weapon. He saw a sword on the far corner of the room, but that would put him out of the way of one of the thieves. He searched and searched, stepping back each time. Then he saw it, a sheath with a long knife in it. Dreamer dropped the box in his hands and grabbed the knife. Drawing it, he found it to be both lightweight and flexible.
Perfect
Dreamer held it in front of him, he wasn't a master at wielding a blade, especially with the pouch with the stone in one hand, but wasn't a rookie either. Dreamer doubted he could win a fair fight with his opponent if the man had a hand and foot tied behind his back. Lucky for Dreamer, he was looking to fight fair.
"Drop the bag and you can walk away" Dreamer said, to the man. Dreamer didn't want to harm the man, but he wasn't going to let the items go either. So with a pouch in one hand and a knife in the other, Dreamer stared the man down.
(Dreamer is confronting Henry, since Merlin said he was confronting Dante)

Henry laughed as he heard the magician tell him he could go free if he dropped the bag. There was no way he was going to give up his treasures and he found it funny that this guy thought he would. Still, in order to play along he shoved the bag down by a host of other items and looked up at Dreamer, his eyes sparkling.
His face was hidden almost completely by a scarf tied behind his head, and it left just his eyes glinting above the black cloth. Stalking towards his opposer in a hunched position, he pulled both arms up in front of him and showed his blades. No matter how hard this guy stared, Henry was not going to crack.
Somewhere on the other side of the room he heard something shatter, and Dante yell as he was apparently attacked. Something told him that these two had more up their sleeves than he had first thought.
"Come on then!"

Dreamer sighed, he was hoping that things would go a little simple than this. Dreamer shrugged off the other bags on his shoulder and waited until he heard a light thud. Lucky he had thought to pack his clothes in with his violin that day, he didn't want it dented.
He breathed slowly, counting the seconds in the air. Soon, he found his voice. Carefully he began with a 1, 2,3
...Let me see,oh let me see, if you can keep up with me please of please Dance with me...
Dreamer had only done this once before, and knew the basic idea around it. He slowed time around him so he seemed to be much faster than he was. He charged in and aimed his blade so that he would push Henry in the other direction of the bags. He would, intentionally, hit Henry's blades with his own.
(Dreamer is going to sing as they fight, that is why he has a ... )

Dante cried out in surprise as the orb shards flew at him. He ducked low and most flew past him or bounced off his armor but two managed to cut shallow wounds on his right cheek. He cursed the pain and swung in blades in an X at his seemingly defenseless opponent.
Out of his peripheral vision he could see Henry engaging Dreamer. The boy was singing. His magic really was channeled through music which explained the hypnotic effect at the bar.
The boy he was fighting was a more powerful mage than he appeared to be. Outwardly he looked to be at least a few years younger than Dante, but his short years must have been filled with training and honing his skills. He wondered what other kinds of spells the boy was capable of producing. He kept his cool though. He had faced more insurmountable odds than this boy.

Henry's blades smashed directly into Dreamers knife, causing a huge smashing sound which Henry assumed must be due to some sort of magical spell. It knocked him back, full of force but he just managed to evade it and instead ducked under the magicians outstretched arms and kicked out at the back of his knees. If the kick connected it would send him sprawling forwards allowing Henry to get back up and back into position.
He barely had time to glance over at Dante, but he risked a look and was happy that he seemed to be doing ok. His cheek was bleeding but it looked like a surface wound from Henry's position. He spun back to the fight, having spent a little too long lingering on Dante's fight instead of his own. Dreamer, his opponent, seemed to have mustered another attack and was singing again. The first time Henry had thought it must be for luck, but now he figured that it must be the source of his magic. For the first time Henry was rather grateful he didn't have any magical skill. He would have felt like a right fool having to sing to use it. "I think that last note was just slightly out of tune, he smirked, bringing his blades up and pointing both horizontally at his challenger. He rushed forwards shouting, "Try it a little sharper!"

Dreamer felt the blow to the back of his knees, and took it. He used the momentum to jump forward and roll into an upright position. He turned, and looked back at his opponent, who gave off a rude remark. Dreamer smirked, the boy was a cocky one.
"...Play, Play, We could Play all day..."
Dreamer rushed forward again, playing another offensive move. He had enough sense to see that this thief was trained in more than just snatching his wealth. He'd have to fight with everything he had, which is what he planned to do. As Dreamer ran, he hoped onto a small table and pushed off it so he could land down on Henry.
His blade poised for a strike down, Dreamer sang another spell into his song.
Flash! Bang! Get out of my way....
A controlled flash of light would erupt, hopefully catching Henry off guard. Dreamer would turned and brought his blade away, so when he landed he could duck down and bring his foot up. If it landed, it would strike him in his stomach and push him back off his feet and knock the wind out of him.

Henry cursed loudly as the man managed to turn the kick into an advantage and landed on his feet. He narrowed his eyes as the man burst into song again and bit his lip hard to keep frm laughing. It wasn't the time.
The last thing Henry saw before the magic took hold was Dreamers body leaping towards him with a blade pointed directly at his chest but then the light flashed bright-white and Henry was blind.
"Argh!" He yelled as black spots blinked their way across his vision. He bent his head down, rubbing his eyes and struggling to see properly again. During this time he left himself open to attacks and Dreamer rushed him with his foot, sending him flying back into that same antique chair and knocking him out cold.

Merlin was finding it hard to concentrate on his fight with Dante, as there was so much commotion and noise coming from the other side of the room where Henry and Dreamer were fighting. His distraction proved to be enough to give Dante the advantage as he slashed both blades towards Merlin. They would have struck their mark, if the spells of defense muttered moments earlier had not been there to glance them away with a shield of magic, but the magical effort sapped at Merlin as if he had physically stopped the momentum of the blades. His legs sagged, suddenly keeping himself upright was a hard task.
Merlin staggered backwards as his assailant scrutinised him, and he stared back. A spell for paralysis on the tip of his tongue. The man he was facing was a good few years older than him, and at least a head taller. His face was scarred, and his eyes intense. Merlin didn't know who he was, but he certainly had impressive technical skill. An almighty crash from the other side of the room caught Merlin's attention, and hopefully Dante's, and he allowed himself a glance to see the other thief knocked out on the floor. Searching the room, Merlin cried 'Abfrish' loudly, causing a shelf of magical orbs to buckle, smashing it's load to the floor. As the orbs smashed they threw out bright shades of light, causing everyone in the room to lose their vision and chaos to ensue.

Dante's blades phased through some kind of shield and did no damage to the mage. He cursed. The boy was several years younger than him and obviously lived at the castle. He was clean and bore no scars for field word or of battle. Dante would take pleasure in giving him his first one.
He quickly began to strike out again but stopped as he heard a loud crash behind him and saw Henry being thrown across the room. When he turned back he heard Merlin whisper something and heard yet another shattering noise behind him.
Suddenly he was stricken blind by the bright blueish white light that emanated from the broken orbs. He cursed and closed his eyes tight against the blinding ray. He yelled a rather profane curse. He hated mages. Fighting them was never easy, and killing them was even harder. He blindly swung his long sword towards where he believed Merlin to be.
His ears began to hear sounds he didn't hear moments before, breathing, the sound of his blade reverberating through the air towards his target. His senses were honed for such stressful battle conditions. His killer instinct was kicking in and that was a relief to Dante. It may make this battle just a little easier.

Dreamer didnt know what happened, all he heard was a bunch of breaking of glass. When he turned to see what it was, a blight flash erupted and he was blinded. It came as quiet a suprise, he himself had never been blinded before. He knew what happened when he did it now, it sucked.
Dreamer was so suprised that he had jumped back in suprise, and tripped over something. He came crashing down on his back, smacking his arm on the way down to. His arm shook, and the sack with the warm gem came off of his wrist.
"Crap" he though
He was blinded, so he couldnt tell where it had rolled away. In desperation, he crawled around on his arms and legs feeling for it. Where could it be?

Henry awoke tot he sound of something smashing and slowly he blinked his eyes open to a room filled with light. His head was absolutely pounding and he could just tell that he was going to have a hefty lump on it for a few days and probably a concussion too. It seemed when he awoke, that nobody else in the room could see, for Dante was cursing loudly from somewhere on the other side of the chair he was leaning against, and his previous opponent was now crawling on all fours. He could only assume that he had awoken just after the light was created and that it hadn't been powerful enough to damamge his own eyes. He rubbed the painful spot on his head, wondering exactly what he should do next, for he didnt feel up to fighting but he couldnt really just walk out and leave Dante behind. Something tapped against his leg, interrupting his thoughts, and he looked down to see a huge orb like jewel roll to a stop. It was beautiful and Henry knew instantly that it was worth a fortune. He scooped it back into the pouch it had come out of and grabbed his own bag, although it was empty now due to all the commotion that had been going on.
"Dante lets just leave the bags and run!" He shouted, heading for the door. He hoped Merlin hadn't seen him take the orb- he had certainly been as stealthy as he knew how, and he was a thief by trade.

Despite both Merlin and Dante being blinded by the light, a blade flashed out of nowhere, catching Merlin's neckerchief and slicing it clean from his neck. His hand flew to his throat in shock, and still blind, he backed as far away from Dante as he could across the room. Whoever these thieves were they were trained well, perhaps soldiers from a neighboring Kingdom or... Merlin's thoughts were disrupted as he toppled backwards over Dreamer, who for some reason was on the ground on his hands and knees.
"Dante, lets just leave the bags and run!"
A voice came out of the light, it sounded close by. Dante, he would remember that name.
"Tractis!" Merlin cried a spell that would lock limbs, vaguely in the direction of the voice, but without seeing his target he knew it wouldn't work. As the bright light from the orbs began to fade, Merlin became aware of Dreamer's outline close beside him on the floor.
"Are you hurt?" he asked.

Dante yelled in frustration when he heard Henry's voice. "I hate mages!" He sheathed his blades and stumbled towards the door still blinded. He felt the door frame and stepped out into the hallway and ran towards where he thought the exit to be. After a few moments he regained his vision and saw Henry following him down the corridor.
After they ran outside and down the street a ways he turned to Henry. "Well, that was a lot of trouble for no gain." He sighed. If Dreamer and the other one hadn't come in they would both be rich, but now they had left empty handed. He looked at his friend who had a large bump growing on the back of his head. "You alright?"

At first Dreamer hadnt registered what the unfamiliar voice had said. "Dante" he whispered to himself, then his head bolted up "DA-" Dreamer tried to scream. Unfortunatly, Dreamer felt a pair of legs strike his in the side and he and whoever it was went to the ground.
The wind was knocked out of him, mostly becouse of the shock. He didnt expect getting hit when he couldnt see, he hated being blind. Dreamer heard Merlin scream something, but he wasnt paying attention to that to care. It was when merlin was closer toward him, asking him if he was alright, that he payed attention.
"No" Dreamer said, striking the ground with his fist, "No i am not".
