Accepted, you have reached the level of caster! I like how you've explored Dreamer's uncertainty in this post, but next training post I'd like to see a bit more focus on performing magic, as your getting to the higher ranks now

Dreamer sat on the wooden fence that blocked the Armies training grounds from the rest of the courtyard. Some of the recruits would be punished tomorrow, they had left out a few items scattered around the grounds here and there. Specifically a few practice dummies and a blade hidden in the straw not far from it. Dreamer suspected that the sword was purposely hidden, although not well. He shrugged it off, the army had its own ways of hazing new recruits.
Dreamer's purpose for being there wasn't to inspect the recruits lack of proper detail. He needed to get away and think, and maybe even make a mistake or two. He had been pondering on his curse for quiet some time and he had come to the conclusion that he would not let it rule him. He had to control it, or more people would get hurt. He didn't like it, but Black Magic was now apart of him, and he had to accept it.
Unfortunately, that didn't help him feel any better about the whole thing.
"If I'm to be a monster" he said, "Its best i work to be the best one out there". Dreamer moved from the fence over to where the practice dummy was. He stared at it for a moment, trying to decide what to do. Night was starting to pass over the sky, although some light still shined, even just barely. That didn't help him though, aside from the fact that it was more difficult to see him, had anyone been watching.
Dreamer finally decided on preforming a few spells he had read about in the Mage's library in an old book. Dreamer had to stay up late, when no one was around, to go threw that book. He still felt uncomfortable and afraid if anyone were to find out. Drawing in a deep breath, Dreamer looked at the practice dummy, he kept getting sidetracked when he had to be focused.
Dreamer decided his plan of attack and then acted on it, by singing his spells.
"Shadow Flight.."
Dreamer jumped into a nearby shadow that spanned from the hey stack nearby. He disappeared inside it, and visualizing the dummy, Dreamer appeared behind it from the dummy's shadow. Dreamer smiled when he found out where he was, so much that his song ended and he stumbled from the shadow. Landing on the ground, Dreamer glared at the shadow and kicked it, hitting only the ground. Grumpy, Dreamer picked himself up and moved back to where he was before.
Taking in another breath, Dreamer repeated his last spell. Unlike last time though, he emerged from the shadow to grab the dummy by the head and sang the next part of his spell.
"..Sleep tonight..."
Dreamer knew he couldn't cast a sleep spell on a dummy, but he had to practice control. So he placed enough magic in the spell to put a mouse asleep. Surprisingly, a mouse did fall out of the dummy, a very stupid mouse that deserved it for hiding in a practice dummy. Next, Dreamer grabbed a knife from his side and caste the last of his spell.
"...Poison shall decide wrong from right"
The blade began to faintly glow green. Dreamer brought the blade up and threw what would be the ribcage of the dummy to where the heart would be. Dreamer left it there for a moment, watching as the straw that the dummy was made up rapidly curled up and died. Removing the blade, Dreamer broke the spell with a quick though. Looking at the dummy, Dreamer sighed and walked back to where he was originally.
Dreamer wasn't done yet, he had a lot of practice to do.

New Magic: Elemental Focus: Earth
*Setting: A few days following Dreamers obtained Title as Guild Represenative, and foiled Chase's attempt at Revenge.
Dreamer sits idely in a wooden seat set against the far wall of his new room. He had been lost in his own thoughts for several moments before he came back to reality. He inspected his new quarters for a moment, taking it all in again. A bed fit for a king, A dresser with all neccessary and unessecary attire, A desk equipped with proper amounts of writting utensils, and a table with two chairs. That was all, with only his own meger possessions set aside the bed to remind him that this was his new excistence, this was his home. He missed his old home, the small room he took refuge in before, it was much less intimidating.
Dreamer closed his eyes and turned his head away again, trying to forget. All he had now, he had earned from the pain of another. Flashbacks of days before, the battle with Chase, and then nature. Dreamer pulled himself back to when he connected with the earth, with the vast expance of power. Dreamer still felt weak from the experience, and yet uplifted. The mere thought of the connection, it was exciting.
Dreamer wanted it back, he wanted to feel the expanse of life at his fingertips again. Several times he had tried, to no avail, The Earth would not take him in. Dreamer wanted it so bad though, the happiness that pushed away his sorrows, the numbness to the agonies that haunted his consiounce.
Dreamer formed a face of determination as he shook his head. How dare he feel sorry for himself! Dreamer stood from his seat and moved to his possessions where he recovered sheets of paper that he had written on, Notes on Elemental magic he had copied from the Guild library. It came as little shock to him now that he had the potential for Elemental Magic. He sifted through the notes until he came to one, he read it, and then moved to open his bag. From it he pulled a potted plant, small and frail looking, but still alive.
Dreamer felt the urge to heal its pain from the White, and to destroy it from the Black, but he was not interested. Dreamer pressed his fingers against the soil in the pot and sang, "Little one, Little one, Rise up once more, From a seed Dignity, To a humble sprout, Rise up once more..." Dreamer watched as the plant seemed to act on command, and began to stand on straight. It's roots became greener, and grew thorns, and its petals filled blood red. Soon, Dreamer held before him a perfect rose. Dreamer smiled and brought the petals to his nose, to smell the delicate scent. Dreamer became so intoxicated that he wanted more, so he created more.
Dreamer turned to the stone at his feet and Sang, "Earth you once were, Earth you are now, Rise and stire, Earth from the ground"
The Stone began to rise up, forming to what Dreamer percieved it should be bended to be. Soon, a stone rose bush was standing before him in the middle of his new quarters. "Beautiful" Dreamer said, "Almost....to perfection".

Dreamer's body rained sweat like a storm, his lips were cracked, and his mouth dry. He had disposed of shirt earlier, It had become a wet mess that simply brought him down. His bones ached, and he felt as if he was on the verge of breaking. Dreamer had never felt so worn.
Good
He was out in the forest, his exact coordinates were unknown. He had simply walked in and never looked back. It was common, for mages to get lost in the woods to train, it was even more common for them to never venture back. It was becoming a possibility for Dreamer, so he finally decided to take a break. After countless hours, Dreamer waddled over to the stream nearby and fell in.
The initial impact stung, giving it wasn't a very intelligent choice, but the reward was worth the pain. Cool water ran through his body, almost as if through his bones, and washed away all his days work. Several minutes went by before he took a seat on a rock beside the water, his feet dipped in, and reflected on his training. All day he had been working on his new magical ability, elemental magic.
He had formed the earth at his bidding.
Like all new magic, the possibilities seemed limitless. Unlike other magics though, there was a much firmer discipline required of elemental magic. Dreamer was not a very frail individual, but his physical strength was lacking in what was required of him. The earth was strong, bold, and almost unmoving. It seemed that the earth needed a mage similar to those aspects to bend it.
Of course, that was not the only element that could be bended, Dreamer reminded himself. That was when Dreamer really took a look at the water in front of him. Dreamer compared that earth and the water and found that there were few differences between the few, aside from the obvious ones. The currents were just as strong, bold, and unmoving. So, what if he was all of those things?
Dreamer, in a fit of excitement, decided to act on his thoughts. Reaching his hand out, Dreamer began to sing a spell, "Water rises, Water falls, Water rise for me, not fall, let me see the magic ties, let me see it all". Dreamer almost cried out in pain as he felt a dangerous drain escape from him, and the current immediately changed. The water rose...and rose...and rose. Dreamer had given the water so much power, it was doing his bidding. The water began to move towards him as he pulled it, just to see if he could. Then he pushed it away and cut off the magic, and the water splashed against the opposite bank, and the river ran once again.
Dreamer fell backwards, passed out, with a smile.

Great post as always, I like that Dreamer's still finding training tough despite being a mage in other areas! You have now reached the level of elemental apprentice.
