Scimitar. It is an elegant yet powerful weapon with a lot of potential if used in the right hands. The cuts that it could inflict where hard to treat due to the curved blade, and the curved blade made it harder to block.

Depends how beneficial it would be, to spare them from great harm or even worse then yes lol their lives are far more important and you can always amend things later in life...
