"You do," Joscelin told her when she questioned of having a choice.
"You don't. Well, somewhat," Aemon corrected Joscelin and looked to him sidelong. It was then he looked back to Cailean. "My lady...Cailean, I mean..." Aemon trailed. "Once Joscelin has his hands on you...well, you're better off simply coming along." He told her and Joscelin looked amused for a moment. "Yes, I suppose that's the proper way to put things." Joscelin admitted.
He looked to her though and shook his head.
"Like I said, Cailean, you will be paid handsomely for your abilities, and especially more for accurate readings that...well," Joscelin smiled. "Help." There was a pause then between them all as Aemon looked from Joscelin to Cailean, and Joscelin looked from Cailean to Aemon.
She had a choice, like Aemon had said, but truth be told, she was better off following along. She was better off listening and simply doing as she was told. It wasn't like she wouldn't get anything out of it and she'd be relatively safe. Joscelin had kept his web of intrigue free of being swept away for years. In fact, his web here was nothing as compared to other nations, and when it had begun to tremble with a grain of knowledge, then Joscelin was upon such quietly.
Nonetheless, Cailean spoke of the nobles and Joscelin smiled.
"Yes, you will stand out, and that's what I want. It's not very easy to lure nobility with a common doxy." Joscelin pointed out. "You, though, are far different. As Anafiel once said..." Joscelin looked to Aemon with a smile. "The foreign will always be a longed for exotic commodity. That's what you are, Cailean, and especially more so with your...skill. Yet," Joscelin trailed and lifted a hand to his chin. "Ah, there are many things we do have to consider though."
"My lord?" Aemon began but he looked wide eyed and almost fearful for the woman.
"Allow me to worry about that, Cailean. I will see you two days from now. Assure that you've nothing planned. Do you understand? Aemon, fetch Aquilon. We've a few errands to run." He said and smiled toothily. With that, Joscelin looked back to Cailean.
"Good-bye, my lady," he uttered before stepping out without so much as a word.
Aemon, though, looked apologetic to her before leaving.
