[Chase Caldera]

Chase could tell that the other boy thought that he had a swelled head. Chase knew it sounded that way but that was honestly the reality of the situation. Chase was without a doubt one of those special people they had talked about earlier who actually deserved to be special.

Now the boy was preaching to him about the importance of humility. Didn't he understand that Chase always backed up what he said. It wasn't like he was just saying it. He would prove to this ever more annoying youth that he could do it. He would become the strongest mage in the land.

Now the youth was making a joke with him. A bad joke at that. Chase groaned would this ordeal ever be over?

Not even a response, just a groan, how rude. Dreamer wasn't actually insulted, he found it quiet amusing that he was getting on the boys nerves. It just meant that the boy would remember him later on, a thought that brought even more amusement.

Dreamer knew they weren't far, it was just a straight shot from where they were now. So he would have to wrap things up, which sucked, since all he had left was a bunch of work to do. He sighed, then turned around as he talked. He had done it thousands of times, so he wasn't going to fall. He would also hear if anyone was coming, so he was safe.

"Alright big shot, When you get accepted into the mage guild later on, how about you show me just how special you really are?" He smiled as he said it. Dreamer didn't know why he was so cruel to the kid, but he wanted to see his face when Dreamer revealed his own place in the Magicians guild. "Unless you don't think your up to it?".

Chase couldn't believe the kid! The kid had turned around so he was facing Chase and had blatantly challenged him. Well Chase always had enjoyed a challenge. He wasn't about to turn down the chance to crush this little kid.

"Well I will look forward to meeting you again kid. Be careful of where you step. You never know who you might run into in the shadows of the night but hey don't worry I am sure you are up to it."

Chase could tell he was really going to look forward to this. He hadn't crushed anyone in days.

Dreamer winked at the boy as they came upon the front door of Magicians Guild. Dreamer didn't stop until right at the door, and then he took a few step until him and the boy were right in front of each other. He smiled at the boy, but it was a dangerous smile, full of more knowledge than Dreamer would share.

"I wouldn't make threats yet child until you know who your talking to" he winked again and stepping back. The boy didn't know it yet, but when he checked his pockets in a few moments he would find a piece of paper with one of the room numbers in the Mage's guild written in it. "See you later kid" Dreamer said as he walked up and into the Magicians guild door, "See you after your enrollment".

It turned Chase had been right. As they parted ways the kid threw one last challenge at him and then entered the guild. At least he had acknowledge that Chase would get through the enrollment but Chase couldn't help but dislike him.

As he entered the guild Chase felt something in his pocket. Reaching down he pulled out a scrap of paper with what looked like a room number in the mages guild in it. So he had been a mage after all, Chase would prove to him that he was stronger someday, but for now he needed to enter the guild inside of which the idiot worked.

"Look out boy you have no idea what I am capable of." Chase said that parting comment to himself. He would wait but someday the youth would regret tangling with Chase Caldera.
