Towerhurst is a village like any other; surrounded by vast farmland and country estates, it does as well as most of its kind. Far from the bustle of London, it's the perfect retreat from the madness of city life.
But Regency England in the countryside isn't just frilly parties and happy, love-at-first-sight romances. Scandals threaten to tear families and relationships apart, monetary woes cripple households, and then there's always the War of 1812 to get you down. Don't let its quiet, quaint demeanor fool you; there's quite a lot going on in the little town of Towerhurst... And probably a lot more than you'd imagine could happen in such a place.
Rondeau is a freeform post-by-post roleplay set in Regency England around the year 1814. The site's plot is member-driven, and revolves around the social scene and all the tomfoolery and trouble that comes along with it. This site is rated PG-13 - R; unlike many sites based on the time, Rondeau does not ignore the darker sides of society present in the time.
