The depths of the sea. The winds of the storm. The power and might of the enemies.
Many years pirates have roamed the waters of the oceans, each searching for what has been lost in their life. Each wanting the same thing. Some succeed. Some fail. There have been many attempts to control said group of people, but none have prevailed. With their giant ships, their motley crews, and their disloyalty to anyone but themselves - pirates have made a name for themselves in the Caribbean. They are rats of the land and sea. They are feared, hated, but most of all known. Infamous pirates have earned their names throughout many years of trickery, stealing, and evasiveness. But that was what they wanted in the first place - to be well-known for the things they have accomplished. Sure the treasure along the way helped, but most of them went from being poor, unknown men and women to being someone everyone has heard of. Stories have been told of their actions. They were no longer no bodies. Not a soul dares to call the sea a home in fear of meeting up with a pirate ship with its flag casting a shadow over the remnants of a burning ship. Pirates have left their scars throughout the Caribbean - just as they wanted.
But who is there to stop them? Who is there to save the loyalists of England from the pirates' evil? The answer is simple: The British Royal Navy. With their heads held high and their swords in hand, the navy sails throughout the seas of the Caribbean in search of these rogues. Their goal is simple: to destroy any threat to his majesty’s throne. They will not stop until every pirate draws his last breath. Many have died in the process, but more remain to keep up the task. They have been called heroes, saints, and saviors, but their hearts do not beat for themselves, but for the King of England. Their duties hold them bound to the officers of the navy, keeping their loyalties strong and severe. They cannot be stopped as long as their hearts remain with the king and his men.
But what of the ones who fall in between the cracks â€" bystanders of both the rouges and the humble servants of England, unable to beckon the courage to leave their serene lives without the violence of war. But the world is changing, becoming vigorous and tainted with deceit and murder. Can these citizens of neutrality avoid the brutal times now plaguing their lands?
This is a Alternate Universe RPG.
